Angie looked up at her and keeping the smile on her face before she sighed and sat down next to her. “It’s just the same ol’ same ol’. I went out to the audition again that you saw me practice for. And I get there happy as a clam to try out for it. And they already casted the roll with another girl.” She leaned her head back. “Maybe secretary school wasn’t that bad of an idea.”
“Oh, Angie.” Peggy said, her lips pursing at once in genuine sympathy for the younger girl, and her hand placed itself over the other’s hand, giving it a little squeeze. “It was not your fault though, was it, but theirs. You belong on stage, you’ve said it yourself.” There was a slight pause, in which Peggy weighed her thoughts and then lifted her eyebrow. “Perhaps this might be a good thing, seeing that I’ve gotten a call from Howard just before. He’s asking me to move to L.A.”
