Day 4 (Night) Akwoung and I went over at the overpass to experiment with light-trail photos of cars on highway 680.
Some light trail shoot from yesterday. Follow this blog for everyday updates.
Day 2.5 Akwoung and I just came back from Fry’s electronic that night to pick up his first dslr, the Canon Rebel T4i. Here in this shot, both of us are experimenting with bokeh. I thought the lighting came out very well, masking his face but at the same time creates these bokeh in the background to give off an impressionist feel.

Starting today I will begin my "365 Days Project". Here's a photo of today's rainy day.
The Bart system has been nothing less than a place of refuge for me. A place where I can let my thoughts flow freely with each passing checkpoint.
As the train move forward, I move forward as well—a symbiotic relationship, in which the two entities are bound in this momentum.
There have been a few articles recently about the decline of Chinatowns around the country. Wired had an article on Chinatown maps that university students created and collected data for. Also, the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund just released a report called Chinatown: Then...

Louis C.k explains on the Conan O'Brien's show how smart phone is taking up our ability to be "human". He says:
"People are willing to risk taking a life and ruining their own because they don't want to be alone for a second."
Probably by far one of my favorite talk on the Conan O' Brien's show.
Mt. Diablo forest fire. Luckily, I was able to take these pictures from a safe distance but a lot of smoke are spreading throughout the city.
Random act of kindness
On my walk from Target to pick up some school supplies, I noticed an elderly man approximately 20 meters away from me. He was somewhere in his 80's struggling his way through the front door of Denny's Diner off of Contra Costa Blvd.
As he inched his way on his walker, I ran towards him shouting "let me help you with that sir". He smiled softly and patted me on the back. Out of no where, two other elderly walked passed me as I offered to open the door for them as well. One shouted "You're such a nice guy!" I smiled back, wished the elderly gents a good day and headed back home. Sometimes a small act of kindness to others can do wonders for the one that's executing them. WIth all the turmoil and fear our lives are imbued in--let's not be afraid to show strangers these random act of kindness during these moments.
With that, I thank you fellow gents for allowing me to open your door, as it strangely has open my heart.
White House launches new war in Syria on Fake WMD's.
What peeves me is that our country believes we have this obligation of taking role as “world police”, being the first one to jump in the scene when there is some form of humanitarian crisis at hand.
Now, I’m not saying that the hundreds of Syrians civilians fabricated their own death in any way and that we should feel desensitize by it. Instead, what I’m saying is that we really need to re-evaulate the situation here.
Here are some of my thoughts that came to mind about this whole ordeal:
1) Why would President Assad threaten his own sovereignty in order to provoke a US/UN coalition for his own invasion/assassination by deploying chemical attack? Don’t you think he knows what’s going to happen to him? It will be the same exact fate as Libya ex-leader, Moammar Gadhafi.
2) We have a government before—-that lie to us about weapons of mass destruction (which by the way came out in the public that there was actually no presence of WMD’s found)…is now selling us the idea AGAIN about WMD’s in Syria—which is why it is NECESSARY to wage war against them.
Now this does not mean that the atrocities of what you are seeing in Damascus are falsified. Instead, it does pose a significant question. Who the hell are deploying this chemical warfare on the hundreds of men, women, and children?
Is Obama’s administration allying with the Syrian Rebels (the very same people who have been terrorist to innocent people in Syria) to garner them to deploy chemical weapons on victims—as a way for US to fulfill their “trigger happy” quota?
Not to mention the aggressive tension it will create between China and Russia. Both these countries are supporting Assad and any intervention from US will simply mean the incarnation of another World War.
War does not bring peace. War brings more war.
Peace is what brings more peace.
