“I see, ” Ollivander said with a small nod taking the wand into his hands. ‘’Wonky, you say,’’ he said thoughtfully examining the shape of the wand, it’s thickness.
‘’A sensitive wand, hazel often reflects its owner’s emotional state, and works best for a master who understands and can manage their own feelings. Others should be very careful handling a hazel wand if its owner has recently lost their temper, or suffered a serious disappointment, because the wand will absorb such energy and discharge it unpredictably…’’ his voice trailed off in thought as he placed the wand before them. ‘’How you’ve been recently Miss Tonks?’’ he asked suddenly.
She listened to Mr. Ollivander with a certain sense of foreboding. His word’s rang uncomfortably true, and Tonks was disappointed to hear that the trouble may have stemmed from her own funk than the wand itself. She reasoned that a wand would be easy to fix, but her life would be much harder.
She searched for a nice way of describing how she had been feeling, but finally just deflated visibly. “Awful. My life’s kind of a mess right now, actually.”

Cedric would have landed just fine if Tonks hadn’t pulled him down with her, and the wizard releases a short yelp as he hits the ground, and he tumbles down the hill a bit. Once he catches himself and stands he helps her up, laughing so hard he’s having trouble brushing himself off.
“Where’s the fun in a WARNING?” he asks with a grin, eyes shining as he looks up at her. He’s glad, in a way, that he’d been sent to her of all people to discuss this. Perhaps she would make it a little easier to get through. It was a topic he really didn’t want to touch, honestly…
She takes his help eagerly, unable to force her laughter down until it finally dies on its own. She has to wipe her eyes before straightening up fully, but she’s beyond glad that he didn’t seem to mind her clumsiness too much.
“It’s just this way,” she offered after finally catching her breath, gesturing behind them. At least her fall had made the walk a little shorter and the pub’s door was soon in sight. “Mad-Eye recommends the fish and chips, but that’s ALL he orders anywhere so I don’t know if I’d trust him.”
“So what’s the occasion for you sharing lunch with an old housemate?”
“So, uh, was it like this the first time?”
She’s been searching for a nice conversation starter, something that she won’t be able to embarrass herself with. Dora loves to talk and can sometimes drown others out, and Remus has that quiet kind of wit that she can so easily miss if she isn’t paying enough attention.
“The WAR, I mean. I barely remember it. Or is that not something you want to talk about? Sorry, stupid question.”
And like that, you were gone.

Tonks nearly smiles at the color just barely tinting his cheeks but deflates at his answer. She scrambles to keep the ruse up, voice almost hesitant. “Uh, no. I think she’s VERY mature. Like the epitome of mature, really. Very cool and mature.”
