so so happy to be transgender & a girl at the same time
if anyone was curious how things are going over on tme transmisogynist tumblr now, here's an update. it was always going this way
oh and let's not forget that transmascvoicesproject is platforming random anons accusing transfems of being degenerate perverts and going "yikes, that's pretty messed up, i always got the feeling she was secretly a pervert anyway"
🔑🔑🔑
it's crazy watching this unfold in real time because it's exactly what unfolded in real time with isff.
transfem-centered blog run by a transfem gets co-opted by tmes who feel left out, get told off for the glaringly obvious transmisogyny in the co-opted version, and immediately spiral into even more full blown aggressive transmisogyny, twerfs and tmras rally to defense, copycat and parody accounts pop up everywhere, and suddenly the transfem's project is no longer about her project, the primary association is only the transmisogynistic tme bullshit.
whether for or against transmascvoicesproject, people are only talking about that now, the conversation has been completely derailed from what mouse was actually doing. and she was doing something really fucking important! i fucking hate it here no one ever learns. isff deserves better and mousidy deserves better
SAME SHIT HAPPENED TO YAY-BUNNIES
it took all of 3 minutes after interacting with transmascvoicesproject for me to get repeatedly sexually harassed in his notes, btw. hell of a "community" for "survivors" you got there
Being a transfem is great because if you ever try to advocate for your own rights or even ask to be treated like a person thousands of people will lay aside their differences and come together to bully you relentlessly in the hopes that you kill yourself
She can smell it.
This Dan Piraro comic always makes me cry.
When I lived in London there was a murder of crows that lived near me. I fed them often, they brought me presents (shiny rubbish and cigarette butts they found on the floor to thank me.)
When I moved, I’m certain they understood I was leaving because I had all my stuff and gave them lots of food and compliments.
But, they chased down my friend who lived in the next burrough over. They had recognised that friend with me several times and followed them to their house when they couldn’t find me.
They adopted my friend and it was now my friend’s job to bring them snacks and receive the presents.
This was maybe 6-7 years ago.
I visited London last year. Went to see my friend. The crows all not only recognised me, they tracked me down. We got into my friend’s flat and not twenty minutes later there was chaos on the balcony.
We open the curtains, the entire fucking murder is there shouting because they wanted to see me.
Crows are the very best birds.
"OR WOMEN IN GENERAL"???? HELLO
Reblog to bully people who don't like female characters or women in general off the internet.
when england lose, women bruise
Seen in downtown Toronto as well
trans people would kill themselves less often if people were nicer to us btw. i could put it in more scientific terms but that’s what it boils down to. just be nice to each other
nothing is more tumblr than having a tumblr sexyman wiki and then warn you to not find some of those men sexy because it's problematic
Oh my god i went to check it myself and they even have dedicated banners for when the creator of the characters is controversial
Ok but apparently Scott Cawthon donating to Trump's campaign and being anti-choice is somehow not controversial enough to warrant that banner
also the description of ninjamuffin prioritizes bringing up his engagement with fetish art over him making violent racist jokes and using the t slur
Yeah their problem with shadman isn't the nazism it's the nsfw
fucking anti kink nazis
jkr is literally posting upskirt photos to her social media. when will it finally get through to harry potter fans that their support makes her feel confident and correct enough to do things like this
If the holocaust denialism SOMEHOW wasn't enough for you to shut up about your favourite kids book as an adult; JK Rowling just committed a sex crime IRL against a transgender woman.
When do we start to care.
one of these big new indie cartoons should release with an exclusive adopt of like the main character. pay up 10000 dollars to be the only one whos legally allowed to draw pomni. i feel like the resulting fandom drama would change the face of the internet it would be so cool
yeah hi this is actually a horrible idea why would you want this
i like when bad things happen
So are we noticing a pattern yet
So are we noticing a pattern yet
So are we noticing a pattern yet
Do I need to spell it out more
I just don't think it's transfeminist at all to only engage with something when it pertains to you or mentions a group that you're a part of! It feels like a betrayal and it aches to know that transfeminist spaces aren't safe for people like me. I want to have a sisterhood with you girls, but is this what sisters do? Not help the girls that they have the social power to step on?
I've lost count of how many instances I've seen one of my white followers obviously going through my blog and liking/reblogging posts about trans girls, but skipping over posts about racialized people! It doesn't stop hurting.
ive noticed this very thing on my own blog, from friends mutuals and random people alike. where the more generalized the post is the more engagement it has. reblogs likes replies, people discussing the topic and actually Engaging with the post. but the posts about being a black trans woman? the posts SPECIFICALLY ABOUT HOW I NOTICE DISCUSSIONS ON RACISM GETTING IGNORED?? fucking guess! i am so sick and tired of you people ignoring us. im used to the slurs and the abuse and the fear of living in this skin, but seeing a friend give barely a glance when i talk about anti blackness hurts so fucking bad. why dont you care?? why don't any of you care??? would you care if i told you ignore us is itself racist?? do i have to (RIGHTFULLY) call you racists for you to give a shit?
There's so much asymmetry between transmasc and transfem experiences, but one that always stands out to me is how common it is for early-transition trans men to appear to be reluctant to be considered fully men by wider society. I've recently had a trans man friend (a really great guy usually) complain that he is unfairly considered "not fully a man" by the cis men at our climbing gym, then a few minutes later declare that trans men are not a threat to women because they're "not men in the way that cis men are". Is he really expecting the cis guys to be less transphobic towards him than he is himself?
The most absurd example I've seen of this is in the coining of the term "malgendering", where the example is used of the Ukrainian military insisting that both trans women and trans men count as "men" for the purposes of the draft. I find the idea that this gender validation constitutes a kind of specific oppression of trans men hard to understand: I can only speak for myself, but if the women in my country were all expected to undergo some horrible experience I would not want to be exempted from it on the grounds of my birth sex, I would expect to suffer alongside them, it's called solidarity! Also how is your first instinct on seeing that that it is trans men rather than trans women who are the victims of the greater injustice?
There is a meme about certain trans men that they don't believe transition does anything, that they regard themselves as a type of woman who is called a "man", rather than actually a man. This is has a kind-of parallel in transfemininity in the internally-transphobic trans girls that are quite common on places like 4tran, who hyperbolically regard any transition that starts after the age of 16 as doomed. But I don't think these are fully mirrors of each other, because the hypothetical internally-transphobic trans girl regards a "passing" transition as something desirable but available only to the young or rich, the trans men I'm talking about seem to regard a "passing" transition as a genuine impossibility for everyone ever (even while so many of their trans male peers are living happy, often stealth, lives as men). It's less doomerism and more unfounded bioessentialism.
I think this comes back to the issue of asymmetry. A lot of trans men initially come out as men only to find that society merely shifts from viewing them as "weird girl" to "deluded girl", the misogyny doesn't stop, it just gets combined with an increase in transphobia. Meanwhile, for a lot of trans women, their coming out experience is the sudden transition from "weird boy" to "T-slur", there's a massive and immediate change in life experience that comes after asserting "I am a woman" that doesn't really have a transmasculine parallel. The joke slogan "trans 👏 people 👏 are 👏 women" has a grain of truth in the sense of how wider society views early-transition trans people, irrespective of transition direction. For transfems, the mere act of coming out (even if you don't transition medically) massively changes your social positioning in a way that doesn't really happen in reverse.
I think a lot of the reluctance of early-transition trans men to consider themselves fully men is simply down to a material assessment of how wider society views and treats them. It's no surprise that trans men who are far into medical transition tend to be much more willing to regard themselves as fully men, since at this point many others are treating them that way too. The difference with transfems is that we are treated as particularly marginalised women immediately on coming out, and (depending on how the closet went for us) often even well before that, maybe for our entire lives.
There's a similarity to the "double-empathy problem" in which autistic and allistic people struggle to understand whichever experience they haven't had themselves. Growing up as a closeted trans girl, the way I interacted with the closet was to ignore the heavy social pressure to perform "manhood" and just be myself, resulting in me facing a whole lot of misogyny from basically the moment I could talk. I used to think the closeted trans boy equivalent of me was undergoing an opposite experience at the same time, one of actually being treated like a boy to some extent, but in fact he was just also facing a whole lot of misogyny too. We were both treated like girls, although the only one of us allowed to name ourselves as "girl" was the one who didn't want that in the first place. That's not to say our experiences were the same: the transmisogynised occupy a much lower social position. Only that the attachment a lot of early-transition trans men seem to feel towards womanhood is understandable given that they still occupy a misogynised social position.
I think understanding this asymmetry is key to understanding trans experiences generally. I only wish that the sizeable chunk of early-transition trans men and other transmascs who recognise their misogynised social role were more aware that their transfem equivalents do not have the inverse experience. We are not treated like men in the same way that they are often treated like women. The totally reasonable transfem resentment at being excluded from support for the misogynised is not based on some putative wish-fulfillment desire to be misogynised rather than seen as men, but merely a reflection of the reality that we are actually heavily misogynised from (at the very latest) the moment we come out. That experience doesn't have an equivalent for you, but that's the reality of living in a patriarchal system.
it doesnt make sense that a penis would get bigger if yoiu jerk it off youre literally compressing it. go crumple a can rn and tell me its bigger im not buying this narrative
Okay So .. This is What Casual Misandry Looks Like Everybody
im trying to go pro if anyone has any tips
point to the above commenter as proof of men's stupidity and inability to get a fucking joke
I hope you go pro soon, you've got a really promising career ahead of you.
Is it acceptable that I do shave my legs only because it’s easier to put lotion on my legs when they aren’t too hairy and I do like the feeling of smooth skin when I finish up with it.
I also only really do it once or twice a month so sometimes I do go out in public with hairy legs.
come on man i'm on my lunch break can't you wait???
I think that it's perfectly acceptable to shave your body for whatever reason makes you happy. Or even just calm. Like say because one time you were sleeping in a small rundown beach house and while you were asleep you had a dream where the wind was gently wafting through your "manly" leg hair. Only it was about 200+ fire ants. And there was very much stinging. And pain, and swelling and (later on) doctors said that you should 110% have been hospitalized for the symptoms of that insect attack. And now you shave your leg hair completely bare because that wind wafting feeling is the very definition of a "trigger".
hey what
