I hiked a trail that led me to a viewpoint overlooking Mt. Rainier and the Nisqually Glacier. Wow, what a hike. After having done another trail an hour earlier and being sweaty and already sore, I was regretting embarking on this hike 10 minutes it. If I'm being honest, I wanted to turn around a few times. That shit gets steep. And then I saw a deer. She was just standing there near the trail, in a field of wildflowers, and I realized that there's no fucking way I can turn around. Another 20 minutes of hiking and we ran into 3 groundhogs. I saw groundhogs in real life. What the fuck? They're actually kind of majestic. As a side not... the last two months have given me a new appreciation for life and the things and people in it. In May, and before, I was in the best mind state that I've been in in years. Years. Seeing natural beauty like this just makes it better. I'm so grateful to be alive. Follow your bliss.
