we’ve looked at some videos like this before, and they’re honestly a really fun way to create some enrichment for your cat, especially if you have a cat that needs a lot of stimulation and enjoys puzzle-solving. since the cups are so light, there’s not much risk to the cats even if they crash into them.

1. Dracula Parrot. This thing pisses me off like, a bunch
2. King Vulture. the felted craft project equivalent of a haunted ventriloquist dummy
i will never not resent this bird
3. Jacana Bird. This is the most unnecessary cursed nonsense. i deserve an apology for having to look at this. I can feel its fingers stroking my ears
No it does not have SIX FREAKING LIMBS. it’s carrying its stupid creepy spawn under its wings. A+ parents but still, piss off. even the normal 2 legged version isn’t much better
put those AWAY.
4. The Shoebill, which i’m sure we’re all sick of hearing about. this thing is the epitome of a crappy photorealistic cgi disney villainy. i despise this bird.
also this is what they look like standing up. i just feel like i shouldn’t have to deal with that, i really do.
5. Inca Tern. truly, hipsters ruin everything
6. Tragopan. it looks like a star wars species, which i dislike on principle
7. The Secretary Bird. it wears yoga pants.

DIY Knit Shipwreck Shawl Free Pattern

This stunning Knit Shipwreck Shawl was designed and modeled by Bethany Kok. In the post and pattern you will get detailed information on how to dye the shawl after you finish making it, and also how to place the beads in the pattern.
From Bethany Kok:
Shipwreck is true lace knitting, as pattern rows in two of the motifs are stacked without intervening “plain” knitted rows. Since the shawl is knitted circularly, however, there is never any need to purl. The right side of the work always faces the knitter, making it easy to spot mistakes. There are only seven increase rows in the entire project, and only one motif is worked at a time.
Beads are pre-strung on the yarn and knitted into the faggot lace border at random intervals, and can be omitted if desired.

Out of all the cool stuff that mythbusters ever shot on high speed camera, shooting a soccer ball at 60mph out of a truck traveling 60mph is one of my favorites
Just look at it. It is the most perfect visual representation of Newton’s 2nd law of physics I’ve ever seen. The ball, which was shot out of a CANNON, drops straight down. Two equal and opposite velocities completely canceling each other out, leaving the soccer ball to drop to the earth with a net velocity of 0. Sir issac newton would be proud to tears of this gif.
And yet this “myth” is nothing more than basic physics at work. A 10 year old with an interest in science could have told us this is possible. 60mph in one direction minus 60mph the exact opposite direction is 0. Basic.
But what makes this so frieken cool is the fact that they went through all the trouble to actually demonstrate the invisible laws that govern the way our universe works. To get this shot both the soccer ball and the truck had to be moving at the exact same speed. Real world variables make that extremely difficult to pull off. It took them hundreds of attempts to get it right. They went through all that trouble to “prove” something we have known as fact for hundreds of years. And we get this amazing gif to watch as a result.
Mythbusters is incredible. Science is incredible. And the fact that this experiment in physics can be used in science classes for years and years to come to help children learn about physics is incredible.
