“Ah….good good. Think someone saw us….so um….”
“Uh, I have to go. I’ll see --- I’ll see you.”
“Well in THAT case, I’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. My schedule is kinda all over the place, so it’ll probably be some time random.”
“Hey, you’ll be helping me so whenever you have time, I’ll make sure to be there.”
“Got any particular in mind or whatever comes your way?”
“I’ll take pretty much anything.”
“As have you…apparently i’m not good at this type of stuff.”
“I wouldn’t worry too much...neither am I.”
“That sounds also nice. Summer is coming up, I’m sure you’ll be planning fun stuff for this season.”
“Yes, I’m hoping something fun will come up. I’m mostly looking for a new job.”
Aiden’s hands dropped to her waist as he himself took a small step back looking at her when she began to speak. A smile formed on his lips and he shook his head, “are you now? might I remind you i’m my own species. How could that be possible?”
“I guess you’ve just --- “ She shrugged, still grinning at him. “You’ve grown on me.”
“Now you are my best-est friend,” he insisted, pressing a kiss to her cheek, “you’ve been promoted to literally the greatest.”
“I’ll take it. At least until you forget about all of this tomorrow morning.”
“To get laid? I don’t know. I’ve been extremely tired lately, so I hope I can have a good few hours of sleep. What about you?”
“Sounds like a reasonable plan. Sleep, sleep is always good. Not really, I’ll probably turn in early as well or go visit a friend.”
“Okay…so how’s that not a shrug-off? Words like feelings, words like relationship come into play you think too much about it and then…shrug it off. You know, shrugging it off doesn’t exactly always mean calling it good. It’s leaving it at that for the moment. Nothing indefinite. Quite the opposite actually. So yes, I can relate.” Talon responded. “You’re leaving for another time.”
Talon, taking the opportunity to get a head start on the whole nude painting process. Crossed her arms and pulled the shirt she was wearing swiftly over her head, tossing it to the sofa to her side turning around to show off the black widow she now had etched into her lower back. “I would never get someone’s name. Not even my— no one.” As she spoke the words she doubted every syllable. Her parents crossing her mind.
“In the end I don’t think it’d really matter. Lights are off. But, this place is your own., use ever corner and chance to make it just that.” She said with a shallow-force. She could give advice all day every day but it usually contradicted much of her own life. The idea that others wouldn’t do the same though, she couldn’t understand.
“You said so yourself. I can shrug it off now but when the time comes to actually talk about it I won’t let it go.” Violet wasn’t about to beat around the bush with her, especially considering the way the rest of her friends seemed to adore avoiding any topic of conversation regarding her personal life. She watched as the blonde began removing her clothes, noting the shift in her tone as she spoke of the tattoo. “Right. Getting someone’s name isn’t ideal.” Violet shrugged, touching paint to canvas as she attempted to mix colors. “Maybe I’ll make it all black. Really make a statement.”
“Awh, well that’s pretty cool then. I feel honoured you chose me for your muse.” Summer laughed as she finally settled in a comfortable position and smiled at her friend. “Okay I think I found it, I’m comfy and let’s hope I don’t get pins and needles anywhere.”
“Why wouldn’t I choose you?” She asked, smiling at her before she focused on getting her canvas and paints set up. “You can stand up if you need to. I’m hoping I only really need you here for a bit to start.”
“Yeah, lame joke. Probably get that a lot…” He was half tempted to ask her who had broken her soul, but figured that could end horribly. Even if he was slightly joking. Some people had reasons for why they were hard on themselves. Some were just too overcritical. Andrew fell towards the latter, himself. “Art is a very loose term. Which kind of sucks, but what can you do, right?” He shifted slightly. “I feel very… odd. Is odd the word? I’ve never been someone’s subject before. What do I do? I don’t wanna fuck this up.” Andrew smiled.
“No, no. Not lame at all. It just went right over my head.” She admitted, laughing slightly. She watched him as she tried herself to think of what position would be best. “I think you should sit there.” Violet spoke, pointing to a couch beside the window. “Don’t worry, this is my first time painting someone like this so we can both feel odd about it.”
“So then what do you do?” Normally he wasn’t so curious about other people’s lives, but if talking about her kept the attention off him, he would keep asking until he knew every one of her secrets.
“I used to work at the gym in Westbrook. I’m currently not working, though. Just focusing on school. I’m majoring in journalism.” As she spoke she only looked at him a few times, mainly focused on the canvas she was painting on.
“No, no, please don’t…that was my bad, really. I should be more aware of my surroundings, especially in public.”
“No, it’s fine. S’not your fault. I was actually just going to ask if you were using that chair in front of you.”
“Exactly. No one should even bother, I’m telling you.”
“What about for tonight? Do you have plans for then?”
“Yay!” Alese squealed. “Just let me know when you wanna do it, and I’m down. Well, I’ll have to check my schedule, but you know what I mean.”
“It’d probably be better to work around your schedule, actually. Since I’m basically always free.”
The stranger looked confused and it just made Albie laugh more - pretty much everything had been funny the entire night. “You are going to be my new best friend Violet, whether you like it or not, you haven’t really got a choice actually.”
“You mean like I wasn’t your best friend already?” Violet asked him, jokingly making a shocked face.
