Oh boy, this ones been cooking for about 2 months now and I've been going back to it in 30 min intervals and hey-! Its finished.

i’m genuinely in shock of how perfect you’ve made it, your understanding of him is wonderful. it’s such a realistic stance on his character i find so much joy in it. you rarely see anyone else with a similar point of view on such a complicated character, im genuinely in awe-

i have so many other songs to share if you’d like them!! i like to thing i have a pretty good grasp on his character so i hope they would be to your satisfaction.

ahhh that’s why i love time loop aus so much!! you’d slowly deteriorate, unable to form a proper understanding of time. how long have you been stuck in this loop? why was it you? why only me? is it only me? these questions never answered only drives you more into madness.

the game ends yet you wake up again in the same locker you were once before, confused. you see it as a second chance, a chance to fix what mistakes you’ve made.

the second game ended, much better then the first. of course it is you already know what’s going to happen. you get to the end, your friends surrounding you. you think ‘this is it. i finally escaped that killing game with everyone else.’ then..

you wake up once again in that locker. you don’t understand. you had your second chance, why hasn’t it stopped? why aren’t you free? so you try again.

and again,

and again, and again, and again, and again, and again

but it never seems to stop.

you’re growing desperate by now. your sanity had reached its limit,

you have to get out of here.

you use your knowledge to your advantage, easily finding the culprit without fail. you reach for short cuts, things to help the trials process faster. nothing works. it’s been well over 10 rounds now. maybe more, you had given up on counting.

till one day, you’ve had enough. you break. snap in half like a twig.

from there on things get brutal. you grow more and more frantic, unstable. you try everything to get out. you murder. you get killed. you get executed. you kill, you kill, you kill you kill you kill

you eventually realize that you had lost your humanity, your will to live. you’ve given up hope. stuck in this loop forever. never ending, never beginning.

you feel immortal.

sick of living.

you start killing yourself at the start of each game. mind as well, you’re stuck here forever aren’t you? there’s no point of ending the killing game if it never ends.

you start to grow numb to the pain, even somewhat enjoying it. it’s an opportunity to feel. to feel alive.

and so once again, you wake up in that locker. your mind is scrambled, you’re far worse then even the mastermind of this horrid game. you walk out, a smile on your face. not one of joy, in fact far from it. it’s a dreadful smile. the others look at you with fear melting into their features. your eyes swirl, black and white spirals fill your vision.

we know about talent swaps, role swaps, personality swaps- but i bring to you another idea; saiouma swapping how they lie

hear me out! this idea is basically that they're still them, but with each others liying habits and opinions on lies.

So Shuichi is still a shy detective, but he lies alot cause he finds freedom in lies. he doesn't openly admit to lying tho, so when it's found out it's a bigger shock than canon Kokichi lying. it takes being around him alot to notice how often he lies, so it feel more betraying and less annoying to his peers.

Kokichi is still the werid little shit of a leader but he rarely lies, not truely understanding the point of it unless in a pinch. he does keep secretes, just doesn't make a show of it. he does like to say something then follow it up with "im just joking" tho, he enjoys seeing the reactions. to everyone else he becomes more of a jokester who simply prefers to be private as reuslts.

now Kokichi always prods Shuichi about his lies, being as obnoxious as ever to get something out him, and Shuichi only responds with more and more cryptic lies. this reuslts in Shuichi and Kokichi getting into simmilar situations as Kokichi's fte, but instead of threats of death, Kokichi challanges Shuichi to games and whoever looses has to tell the other a truth.

Kokichi finds it odd and facinating how Shuichi, despite showing himself to be very good at all the games they play, seemingly throws the matches to let Kokichi win and give him a truth. that throwing does make a bit more sense knowing that every truth he's given is a cryptic one he has to try and decipher, but it's still bizzar to him that the biggest liar in the group is so willingly giving him truths of any kind.

Saiouma feel like the kind of people to talk about weird shit while laying around in one of their rooms, but also they're both nerodivergent kids who like to debate and it would devolve so fast into actually trying to find an answer to the weird shit

like- usually Kokichi starts the convo with a really weird question, Shuichi laughs a bit at it but replies, and then they chat about it until they're suddenly arguing about what would actually be the most logical answer if it was a real situation

now note how i said Kokichi usually starts this? Shuichi usually brings up the more sane ideas, but what if one day he decided to ask a weird question before Kokichi could? it would totally throw Kokichi off, but he'd have a ball with it and would probably try to get Shuichi to ask werid questions more often

tehe okay i’m still in school rn but it’s theater and i’m bored. soo

SAIOUMA TIME!

okay so this is kind of an extension on my pregame kokichi rant that i posted the other day (i’m so sorry about that i can’t help it) BUT

for pregame i don’t really see them as lovers, maybe one is pinning on the other but there’s never any real romantic feelings. it’s just super platonic. they met in middle school after bumping into each other at the nurses office. kokichi was getting bandaids, shuichi was just looking for an excuse to skip class. while waiting, kokichi, trying to break the silence, asked about the pins on shuichis bag.

of course, shuichi excitedly responded with an entire run down of danganronpa as a whole. (me too man) this went on for around 10 minutes until he realized he was ranting- blushing from embarrassment he avoided eye contact and apologized, expecting to be ridiculed for his overexcitement. kokichi however, only laughed. this petrified shuichi,

‘i don’t even know this guy, shit i didn’t mean to rant like that-’

“wait no,” he says still giggling, a smile prominent on his face. “it’s okay don’t worry, i don’t mind.”

he didn’t expect that reaction, people usually aren’t to fond of the series. maybe.. maybe he’s a fan?

“oh, are you a fan?” he asks, his thoughts getting the best of him.

“ah, no not really, i’ve seen it around though. if i’m being honest, it does seem pretty interesting! i don’t know where to watch it so i haven’t gotten the chance to check it out.”

at this point shuichi was overflowing with excitement. he had never met another person interested in danganronpa!! sure, he had a few online friends who also enjoyed the series but having someone to talk about it in person is different. there’s all kinds of things they could do! they could watch the seasons in order, from beginning to end! he has all of them on dvd anyway. ah, he should probably respond..

“i-i have all the seasons on disk! we could watch them together!!” he stands up from his chair practically shouting at the boy, who in response jumps like 5 inches out of his seat. shit “ah, i mean if you’d like that is..”

he’s quiet for a moment, considering the offer before.. “yeah sure, i’d like that.” he says looking up at shuichi with a timid smile. to which shuichi responds with a smile that kokichi could only describe as pure joy.

[i know i’m pretty shitty at writing please spare me- again not that people will see this anyway. ah if you do though maybe some constructive criticism would be nice! my ego is fragile so please don’t be too ruthless :,)]
