I wasn't prepared for how quiet it would be. When we landed on the island this morning, I expected... I don't know, maybe chaos? Roaring? But instead, there was just the soft crunch of snow under our boots and the whisper of wind through the pines. Cabot gave us the signal to spread out and start documenting, and I headed toward the clearing with my camera ready. That's when I saw her.

She was standing there like a monument—this massive, beautiful Dreadnoughtus just... watching me. I've named her Sage, because the moment our eyes met, I felt this overwhelming sense of calm wisdom radiating from her. Her coloring is unlike anything I've seen before: pale grey-blue, almost ethereal against the snow, with these darker dappled patterns across her body like someone painted her with storm clouds. She didn't move, didn't startle. She just looked at me with those ancient eyes, and I swear I felt my heart crack open a little. This girl has been out here alone, surviving on an abandoned island, and she's still so gentle. So trusting.

I raised my camera slowly, not wanting to spook her, and she let me. She just stood there in the falling snow, framed by the dark trees behind her, and let me see her. Let me document her. Gavin's going to love sketching her later—there's something almost mythical about her presence. But beneath that majesty, I can already see she needs help. Her body condition isn't terrible, but resources here are limited, and winter is only getting harsher. She deserves better than struggling to survive on her own.

That's why we're here. That's why this mission matters. Sage and the others on this island aren't just relics or monsters—they're living, breathing animals who need us. And I promise you, we're going to make sure every single one of them gets the care they deserve. Starting with this gorgeous girl right here.
