When you thnk negative you become negative, when you think positive you start to see it project in your life. Curing a skin disease through health and lifestyle choices has been very difficult. There have been plenty of times where I wanted to give up and go get presription drugs from the doctor. But I knew deep down that would be the wrong choice. Despite my pain I keep moving forward. I refuse to let the words on that shirt define me anymore. They are all lies. They are not my truths.”
The creating the experience piece of this project. I wanted to recreate how it feels like dealing with eczema. It is very isolating and dark. A person does feel like they are alone because no one else is experiencing the agonizing pain of itching and scratching and the social anxiety that comes with the condition being so visible on the skin. A person just wants to be left alone and suffer in silence. I wanted this experience to be dark and chilling but at the same time beautiful.
