Whatâs up with that? Partying not really your kind of vibe?
.
I enjoy a good party, but I had some shit happen that day that really messed me up, so I just wanted the day to be over, honestly.

I enjoy a good party, but I had some shit happen that day that really messed me up, so I just wanted the day to be over, honestly.

I think weâre kind of used to loosing that kind of time, on vacation, or even at Christmas when sometimes the days blur one into another, but not really in January. That sort of sounds like a bit of an unintentional resolution though, to work through stuff. Especially if it involves working on yourself. Either way, I wish you good luck with that.
.
Itâs definitely been weird, for sure. Yeah, I suppose youâre right about that, and, thank you, it means a lot.
finnofhudsonâ:
Well, Iâll be thinking good thoughts for you.
.
Thank you, Finn.
michaelarutherfordâ:
True. Perhaps more than time is needed though as well. As they say, sometimes the bull has to be taken by the horns.
.
Sometimes all you can do is let time deal with things, honestly. Though, Iâve long since learned time doesnât actually heal anything, but itâs useful. Yeah, confronting things head on is usually effective, though at doing what, you donât know until youâve done it.
leopoldclaringtonâ:
Iâm taking classes in kinesiology. One is a research seminar, one is sports management, and the third is psychology of human movement.Â
.
Thatâs all really cool. Nothing Iâm entirely familiar with, but cool nonetheless. You going for a degree of some sort of more for fun?
elizabethlouiseabramsâ:
I mean yes of course, everyone can have their thing. It is good to have your passions and do what you love, but I couldnât imagine going through all that pain. Enough so that you end up in the hospital. But I suppose some people in the world needs to be the adventurous ones.
.
I love a good adventure and have had quite a few injuries in my time, from various things. Getting hurt isnât always a byproduct of being unsafe, itâs a side effect of living, in general. To some people, pain is nothing, sometimes in an unhealthy way, but not always. All about balance and all that. Though, I think you could use a little adventure, see what all the fuss is about.
elizabethlouiseabramsâ:
I suppose so, Iâve just never been one for risk myself. I can understand longing for the thrill and excitement. But Iâve seen some people come back multiple times for that same adventure. It just shocks me that itâs worth it.Â
.
I mean, itâs like people who get high or who are into various kinds of kink, you do it because itâs fun, because no matter the risk, you enjoy it. Thereâs nothing wrong with that, yâknow? Cos if you spend this life just being safe, sure youâll live an okay life, but will it be your best life?
snixxylopezâ:
Iâve been back in Lima for almost a month now and I can say I did not miss this place. The majority of people are still idiots, the food is ridiculously greasy as hell, and I still feel like Iâm living in the dark ages sometimes with peopleâs opinions on todayâs issues.
On the plus side working at Luxe has been badass, itâs really cool the community theatre is doing RENT, low key mad I wasnât here to audition but it is what it is, and I am back together with my family which is relatively dope. But why donât yaâll tell me everything Iâve missed these past couple of years?
.
Does this town ever change?
leopoldclaringtonâ:
After my first week of classes again, Iâm glad to say theyâre actually pretty interesting; for the most part. However, while online classes are convenient, they are a little less engaging. I find myself having to record the sessions and go back and listen again.  Thankful that I joined the musical as well since itâs a good way to shift away from class/study mode. Anyone else taking classes (online or other wise) this year?
.
What kind of classes are you taking?
lawofsmytheâ:
I canât believe itâs the middle of January already. Some years January seems to drag on forever, and now this yearâŠit feels like New Years was just a couple of days ago. It might be because I find myself thinking of it, maybe. Did anyone make any resolutions? How are they going?
.
It doesnât feel real, honestly. Like, time has just disappeared and I donât know how Iâm supposed to feel about that. No resolutions, just aiming to work through some stuff that came up in my personal life at the end of the year and then depending on when I manage to get through that, see about other things.
elizabethlouiseabramsâ:
While I understand how exciting the New Year can be, it gives you that push to step out of your shell and that is a beautiful thing. But I really wish people would be more careful, it has been almost non stop at the hospital. Is it truly worth the risk just to try something new? I am actually curious.Â
.
Depends on the kind of life you live, I imagine. Some people want more adventure in their life, something exciting and that can mean dangerous.Â
wildekittykittykittyâ:
I donât understand why people feel the need to overshare when they speak to receptionists. If youâre an hour late, you donât get to just walk in an thatâs the ruleâ I literally donât care that youâre late because your dog got out almost got hit by a car, Stephanie. Keep it in a kennel when you leave and be on time. Itâs not my problem.Â
.
Honey, oversharing is telling the receptionist youâre late because your one night stand wouldnât get out of your apartment. Explaining that youâre late because your pet nearly died, is being human and hoping the receptionist was born with any sort of compassion. Unfortunately, they got you.
ginnyrosesâ:
Amen. Ainât that the fucking truth.
.
And yet, they always seem to be the ones who are.
michaelarutherfordâ:
Sometimes it sucks. I hope it turns around soon for you. I was lucky I was in a position this year to make sure it was everything I wanted it to be.
.
Iâm sure it will, given enough time. Thatâs good, though. Iâm glad you had that.

Iâm hoping to get a pretty promising line-up so Old City Prime becomes a hotspot for locals to be able to enjoy some live music and other performances. Everyone needs a chance to unwind that isnât either a quiet night at home or partying with loud music.
.
Iâm sure you will. This place is crawling with talent. And youâre certainly right about people needing more options for a night out.
finnofhudsonâ:
Iâm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you find some resolutions to it all in the new year. Â
.
Not much anyone can do, so it is what it is. Iâm sure things will even out in time. Though, hopefully less than more.

Whatâs wrong? No one pretty to kiss at midnight?

Pretty sure I was in bed, crying, at midnight. If I was even awake. So...
