he was humming a small tune while entering the house, it was late and the house was silent. he thought you had fallen asleep as it was quite late, which you have not.
you could hear him make his way to the bedroom, his feet paddling on the floor getting louder when reaching the door. he twisted the door open quietly, hoping to not wake you up.
“hao…” you murmured, it startled him because he didn’t expect you to be awake so late at night.

once you dozed away, jungkook stayed awake. staring at you with such adoration as if you were the person that hung the stars in the night sky.

you hummed to yourself while squeezing a blob of batter onto the pan to make you and your boyfriend pancakes for breakfast. he had a late practice last night and you wanted him to sleep more. (you just wanted to make him breakfast for once too).
you were too invested in making the pancakes that you didn’t hear the man behind you. he wrapped his arms around your waist mumbling how you were so mean leaving him alone in bed.
you rolled your eyes smiling. “you big baby” you said. “your baby” he muttered hiding his face into your neck.
“yeah whatever” you mumbled teasingly before going back into making the pancakes. you can feel him pouting in your neck.
you made mingyu go clean up before breakfast was ready.
humming once more to yourself while plating everything, you again do not realise the man standing behind you with adoring eyes.
“is this all for me” he said from behind you. “oh fuck” you mumbled as he scared the living daylights out of you.
“warn me next time when you creep up behind me.” you said, “but yes.. wanted to make you breakfast for once”.
“you didn’t have to you know” he said, placing a kiss on your temple. your cheeks warmed up after the little affectionate kiss.
after breakfast, the day seemed to go in a blur. it was mingyu's day off and he just seemed the need to cling to you all day and if not, he's following you around the house like a shadow.
"baby" you groaned, as the 6'1 man won't let go of you while you are trying to do a task. you tried to wiggle out of his grip to no avail, he just tightened his hold on you.
“don’t leave me” he mumbled into your neck. “gyu baby you’re like a puppy that’s really attached to their owner” you deadpan, “just give me 10 minutes and i will be back, promise”.
you could feel him loosen his hold on you to which you turned around to place a small kiss on his lips and then on his cheek before peppering his whole face with kisses. mingyu broke away from you laughing before cupping your face to give you a proper kiss on the lips.
"i love you" he whispered against your lips.
"i love you too" you replied back before breaking the kiss, "well enough said, let me finish some things then we can cuddle in bed."
safe to say, the rest of the night was spent cuddling under the blankets.

you watched silently as the second hand turn a slow 360 around the clock before it hit…

it was vernon’s birthday. turning around to face the man himself, he was in deep slumber after coming back from dance practice so late. bringing your hands up to cup his face, you slowly caressed his cheeks. gently, you leaned forward to give the birthday man a little peck on the lips. again. and again until he slowly woke up.
he was a bit confused at first before kissing you back. “what’s wrong?” he mumbled against your lips. this definitely wasn’t your first time doing this, but he was never the one to complain when it comes to your kisses.
“mmh nothing, happy birthday baby” you whispered back before catching his mouth again in a kiss. you could feel him smile into the kiss and giggling.
he breaks away from the kiss with you following his lips for another kiss. you whine when he keeps pulling away. his lips quirked up at you almost in a teasing way.
“come back, i’ve not finished giving you your birthday kisses” you mumble pouting. “we’ve got all day today for you to give me my ‘birthday kisses’ ” he replied back.
he gave you one last peck on the lips before wrapping his arms around your waist to bring you to his chest. “thank you baby” he said giving you a kiss on your temple.
you smile softly before wrapping your arms around his neck. “i love you so much” you whispered.
“i love you too, you big sap. go back to bed it’s still early” he whispered back, slightly laughing at you.
you started giggling along with vernon before slotting your face into his neck. “night” you yawned.
“night” vernon replied back, tucking you in tighter into him (??), “see you when i wake up”.
