My name is Vivificanous Prime. Friends call me Viv :)

I am a writer over on AO3 by the same name. My work is exclusively Transformers related as I am working on an overarching storyline, detailing the start, duration, and end of the War for Cybertron in my own continuity.

This blog serves as a companion to the AO3 account. Here, I post worldbuilding long posts, funnies, sketches, and other assorted nonsense that usually pertains to Transformers/my writing.

I do not presently do commissions of any kind.

I do, however, answer any questions/comments you have regarding my writing, perspective, life as an asexual individual, etc. My inbox is always open! :D

So apparently, over the summer, Quibi (the shortest-lasting streaming service ever lmao) did a quarantine project called “Home Movie: The Princess Bride” where a bunch of celebrities recreated The Princess Bride in tiny chunks at home.

And like there was no permanent cast, all these celebrities seem to have gotten a scene or part of a scene to do (i’m not sure exactly, I did not ever watch Quibi and thus haven’t seen this yet), and then they just… recreated it as best they could. At home. Under quarantine.

So like, you had Jennifer Garner in a blanket cape playing Princess Buttercup AND the Booing Old Woman with a crowd comprised entirely of stuffed animals:

the concept of star-eating microbes causing a crisis and the solution being the introduction of space wolves to space yellowstone to control the space elk population. i love a good trophic cascade

dr ryland grace immediately pitching "turn the spaceship into a giant centrifuge to generate gravity" and then not balancing his actual centrifuge later on

the entire "life is reason" scene really

grace forgetting to open the mystery alien container in a fume hood AND immediately sticking his nose in it. if we did this in chemistry lab we were executed on the spot

academia drama being one of the cornerstones of grace's character

grace switching through every spectrum setting on the microscope to try to see into the astrophages and not being able to (relatable)

I consider my Wheeljack in three major phases of life: early marriage with Ratchet, ~the divorce~ and Wrecker era, and reuniting with Ratchet to look after troubled-teen Hot Rod. I’d say he would have refrained from anything casual pre-Ratchet as he was more of a romantic in his early life. During the divorce, however…yeah, he would have a few flings. The Wreckers lived life like they wouldn’t have it tomorrow, and Wheeljack was going through a kind of mid-life crisis as a newly single guy. He would have recommitted to Ratchet after they reunited since they’re a pretty monogamous pair. Wheeljack harbored a lot of guilt for leaving Ratchet unannounced in the middle of the night to go galavanting with the Wreckers, so he’d work hard to stay more committed when they got back together. He’s a one-mech-at-a-time kind of guy.

9. what is this character/ship like after sex?

Very early in their relationship and marriage, smiley. Wheeljack was a romantic, very into dotting on Ratchet post-interface and cleaning up so they can cuddle. After years of infertility, though, it all felt like a chore more than an act of affection, and Wheeljack went from cuddly to comforting to dead inside. Eventually, they stopped interfacing at all. With flings during his Wrecker phase, he wouldn’t be nearly as invested and so much more likely to come and go without fanfare or much aftercare. He tried being cuddly again when he and Ratch got back together, but it didn’t feel as good anymore to be sweet. Plus, they’re old. He’d sooner fall asleep before overloading than stay up long enough to properly clean up.

I think what we’ve learned here today is that Wheeljack and Ratchet had a lot of bad sex and probably should have stayed divorced

going through all the muppet movies in a row made me realize that like. miss piggy was made in the 70's. and it's so rare even today to have a character like her. she's loud, she's selfish, she's funny, she's extremely vain, she's obsessed with romance, she's violent, she's kind of annoying, and there's not a single moment in any of these films where she's asked to tone down any of these personality traits. i am not joking when i say that miss piggy might be one of the best treated female characters ever written
