i know every chromosome was working overtime when they were forming megumi that man is beautiful
Genuinely why do people think because he’s reserved and aloof that Megumi would be this cold, emotionally unavailable boyfriend who doesn’t care about his partner? Like, come on, in canon, that boy has been shown to be extremely attached and caring for those he’s closest too, just not too overly expressive about it? If he couldn’t be open or vulnerable with someone, who wouldn’t get in a relationship with them in the first place so I highly doubt he’d be egregiously unavailable like ppl try to make it seem

Chapter 2
...
Fushiguro felt the widening of his eyes, the dilating of his pupils — not out of hatred but due to being so flabbergasted.
1. [ ] Mikamo - 98. 49%
98.49? So basically 98.50, how does one achieve that grade?
Fushiguro feels shiver down his spine, shame crawling from his spine to his very skin and brain. He instantly scratched his elbow out of habit, a sigh escaped his lips, left hand finding its way to his right shoulder.
He never expected to be humbled .
He is humble, but he should start being more humble. He can't believe he acted like that with his senpai.
Did his aloof demeanor and short response made him seem disrespectful? Was she speaking to him with contained politeness and proper mannerism while silently cursing him out? Did it seem like to her that he's belittling her? Well he definitely wasn't.
He was regretting his past actions and way of speaking to her — it's like he thinks so highly of himself with the way he spoke with her.
“Woah, it's you again!” a voice called out to him, Fushiguro didn't have to fully turn around to confirm who it was. One glance from his shoulder, he immediately caught up with the familiar tuft of pink hair.
“Fushiguro, right? Hehe, you placed first dude, that's amazing, isn't it?" The other boy let out a chuckle, only dressed in a Marigold shirt and blue jorts, carrying a bottle of water.
“...Yeah, certainly...amazing.” he mumbled, eyes narrowing back to the name listed in first place.
“Oh, yeah, it's quite surprising right? How smart Mika—”
“Tell me,” The raven haired immediately cuts him off, clearing his throat. His gaze fell back to the pinkette beside him. “You mentioned last time you know Mikamo-senpai…”
Can you tell me about her?
He wish he could say it aloud, but words seem to be stuck in his throat. Like there's thorns wrapped around his neck, stabbing through his flesh.
“Hm?”
“Ah...can- can you tell me about her...?”
“Oh? Mikamo-senpai?” Itadori blinked twice, shoulders tensing for a moment before eventually relaxing.
The boy nodded eagerly in response, “yes, her—”
“Hello there, Yuuji-kun!”
The Raven haired Instantly froze, slowly turning his head, completely baffled at the sight of her. Standing inches away from him. Hands clasped together, a smile worn on her face.
“Hello to you too, Fushiguro-kun.” she paused, looking him directly in the eye, “You wanna talk about me?”
“Uh- I just-” Fushiguro stammered, closing his lips tightly; deciding it's better to just shut up and save himself from further embarrassment.
“Mikamo-senpai!” Itadori called out again, Fushiguro eyed the pinkette as he passed by him. Getting closer to their senior before him. A big grin plastered across his face. “Thank you for helping us out last night! Without you, the house would've been a total mess!”
“Ohh, do not fret, it's fine.” She said, waving her hand dismissively. “Besides, I was with you and your brothers, technically I ought to take responsibility too!”
Fushiguro watched with closed lips. Standing there idly — like an idiot.
He almost felt like he just received the most harsh and gut wrenching rejection ever. Though he's truly overreacting…
He couldn't explain himself, but he feels a knot form in his stomach. It's not the same funny feeling he felt when he was talking to Mikamo-senpai last month. But rather the one of a kind that makes you feel like you've just been stabbed with a knife right here and there.
He feels a sudden frenzy surging up. Eyes twitching as he stared at the pair. A thousand of emotions all at once washed over him, making it impossible for his brain to even come into understanding with each one.
He can't put a finger on why seeing Itadori talk so effortlessly and confidently to Mikamo-senpai, whispering things that make a chuckle or giggle out of the older girl's lips seem to tick him off.
He had always been self aware
Or at least that's what he thought. For Fushiguro could not comprehend that this irritation he's feeling is not just a mood swing or sudden annoyance. But rather jealousy.
It's not like he has any reason or has the rights to be (on that one, he's very aware of atleast). Because like Itadori had said, he has been close with their senior for at least half of his life due to his brothers — it's not his fault they're close, and Fushiguro has nothing to even be angry about.
With a huff, he turned to leave. Walking off the conversation he wasn't even involved in. Itadori paused and stared at his senpai.
“Ahhh... Fushiguro-kun is not in a good mood today, isn't he?” she whispered, the boy hesitantly nodded. “Well, Itadori-kun, why don't you go check on him, for me?”
“Mhm!” Itadori responded with the same enthusiasm as before. He sent a quick wave of goodbye before rushing towards the Raven haired. To his surprise, he quickly lost the boy. Not because he is slow but rather due to the large crowd of students gathering around.
“Ah.” Itadori sighed, brows furrowing. “Where'd he go? ”
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
Itadori searched around the campus, almost getting lost in the process. It took him atleast 20 minutes, he was in the verge of giving up for he had assumed Fushiguro already had left.
But he didn't "grieved" so long, for he instantly caught the sight of Fushiguro talking to Kento. The two were discussing something, near the garden before the adult eventually bowed after the student before walking off.
Itadori jumped straight to Fushiguro, cradling him like a dog. “Fushiguro!!! I've been looking for ya' everywhere!”
Fushiguro stumbled down, almost falling face first onto the tiled floors of the corridor. Holding onto a nearby wall for balance.
“Fushiguro?” The Raven haired did not said a word, only lifting his arm up and slamming his fist to Itadori's forehead.
“Ouch! ouch!”
“Get off. ”
Itadori pouted, letting out a long sigh before doing as he was told. With a huff, he jumped off the boy's back.
Fushiguro was met with a familiar sense of fervor as soon as a smile crept it way back to the pinkette's face. “I've been looking for you!” he exclaimed, “Why'd you leave?”
“What will I stay for?” he rolled his eyes, running a hand through his hair.
“Because...” Itadori paused, thinking for a moment. He blinked, lips parting. “Ah.”
Got him
Fushiguro thought. Fighting back an urge to smirk. He bit the inside of his cheek, not even letting his lips lift up at the slightest bit.
The boy stepped closer to him, leaning over. Hands clasped behind his back. “Because you said you wanna know more about Mikamo-senpai!”
The boy froze on the spot. Quickly turning away. He ignored the dumb grin Itadori flashed him, and the thumbs up he was being given.
“I'll be educating you about Mikamo-senpai, that's why!! And... ” he cleared his throat , quickly adding: “Mikamo-senpai was really upset when you left!”
Fushiguro rose a brow, he lifted his gaze up to meet Itadori's. Gauging for any sign of sarcasm that he could spot on the individual's face. Finding nothing, he inwardly sighed. Cheeks being tinted in a shade of rosy pink. He cleared his throat, wiping off an invisible stain from the corner of his lip with the back of his hand.
“...Did she?” Fushiguro asked softly, looking at Itadori with an expectant gaze.
“She seemed to be so...! Mikamo-senpai told me to go look after you.”
She did?
Fushiguro blinked. Shaking his head. “W-well I'm fine. I don't need guidance... especially from an idiot.” he mumbled. Earning himself a dramatic scowl from Itadori.
The Raven haired did not bother giving the other boy a time to respond, simply walking off with his head low.
“Eh- HEY! you're leaving already?” Itadori called out to him, the usual smile always worn on his face replaced with a frown. “What about Mikamo-senpai?”
“I don't care,” he replied. That's a lie — he does care. “I was just joking with you anyway.”
“But—”
Fushiguro ignored him, heading towards the gate. Almost running towards the exit and quickly crossing the road.
Itadori stood still, letting out a sigh. He had no choice but to go back to his senpai and report the "unpleasant encounter". He watched as his senpai gave him a nod, her expression twisted into worry. Though she said nothing after, he only reminded Itadori to make sure to always approach him when school starts.

Later that afternoon...
Fushiguro went home quickly after. Being pulled into a tight hug by his sister, showered with praises. His sister ruffled his hair, pulling him to their dining room.
There lies a freshly cooked shōga yaki with steamed vegetables and miso soup on the side. It was a simple food, not too flashy, not too extravagant yet still prepared with love and effort. Fushiguro doesn't mind simple things, in fact, he enjoys them.
He wasn't the one to prefer to be thrown a party over for a simple achievement, especially that only his sister, his benefactor; Gojo and Geto-san and Ieri-san would be the one he'll be celebrating his achievements with. It would be a waste of money, time and effort.
Fushiguro prefers things like how it is now. Simple yet peaceful. His mother may be gone and so is his father (wherever he is now, he does not care), or Tsumiki's mom. It's all fine as long as he still has his sister by his side. He's happy, it's all enough for him.
“Thank you for the food,” he said before digging in. Chewing slowly, savoring the lingering taste of ginger in the pork, paired well with the tender crisp steamed vegetables, sipping the miso soup to water everything down.
“Hehe, Megumi, you're so smart aren't you just?” Tsumiki teased, “Ah, Gojo-san told me beforehand...you really did well! 450/500, that's 90 percent! Ahhh...my brother is so smart!” she said, reaching over the table to ruffle his hair. Fushiguro groaned, turning his head away.
Red tinted the tip of his ears out of embarrassment.
“Well... It's fairly easy. Except for Japanese, I guess.” he shrugged, clearing his throat.
“Japanese, hmmm... Why is kanji hard for you?” she asked, tilting her head.
“Sorta? It's not that I'm absolutely troubled.” he muttered. Lowering his head, taking another sip of the soup.
“That’s not what I said.” Tsumiki huffed, “What's important is that you passed! And the highest in your grade too, oh, I'm so proud of you! You're smarter than your neechan now~”
Fushiguro grumbled something under his breath, leaning back. “Yeah, yeah…let's just eat now. Enough with the praises.”
Tsumiki let out a chuckle, ignoring the way her little brother frowned and furrowed his brows. “Ow! Megumi is shy~ Hehe, alright, alright! Let's now!”

Early April, 20XX
7: 20 am
School entrance ceremony
Sakura started to bloom. Students; specifically the first years (who will now be attending Tokyo Metropolitan high) entered the gymnasium. Quickly filling up the large space with at least half of a thousand or more students. They were now wearing their new uniform, a dress shirt underneath a black blazer matching their dark tinted tie. The school button matches the logo of both Tokyo and Kyoto Metropolitan — that familiar golden color, a swirling spiral symbol, larger than an average button of any other school.
A symbol that students of the school proudly wore on the buttons of their blazer and the cuff of their sleeves.
The assembly was about to start.
The stage was decorated with welcome signs and Sakura, floral patterns and motivational quotes from popular literature books could be found posted in the walls of each corridor. The other staff of the student council were still dealing with some stuff backstage.
Fushiguro could tell, for they were obvious and from where he was sitting. He was in the fourth to the last row, to the second column in the left side — giving him a perfect view of what's going on and about the stage. Students whisper, murmur and giggle.
But he could only hope for it to be done.
However, it's not like he'll be doing anything afterwards.
He has no reason to complain.
Fushiguro sighed, closing his eyes.
“Hey, look over there!...” a girl mumbled to her friend, letting out a soft giggle. She was sitting only 1 seat away from him, not the student who sat beside him but rather the one who the person behind him sat next to
“Hm? Where?” her friend whispered back.
“That guy…him, hehehe, he's so cute! Don't you think? Pretty tall too”
Fushiguro felt a sweat running down his back. Swallowing a lump that was never there. A surge of discomfort washed over him as soon as he felt the gazes of two girls on his back, Fushiguro does not like to be stared at. Even if it wasn't for any malicious intent or a sinister plan. He never likes feeling eyes on him.
Despite that, he stayed quiet. Shifting in his seat.
“Gyiihhh, look at his nose and lashes…such a pretty long one!” the girl shrieked, hands covering her mouth in order to keep her voice low.
Fushiguro bit his lower lip. Flushing out of embarrassment. He still doesn't know how to handle compliments…
“Shush, quiet girls,” said a student council “patrolling” the area. Her voice was soft and almost teasing, looking at the girls with a soft smile worn on her face. “Let’s not get too giddy now, hum? Save that for later.”
Fushiguro tensed up upon realizing who it was. It was none other than the infamous, and smartest of all; Mikamo [ ]-senpai.
The two girls did quiet down as they were told. Fushiguro slowly turned his head, eyes immediately locking onto hers.
She was wearing the school uniform, except that the student councils wore a white tie and red lines outlining the notch of their blazer. Armband worn on her right arm spelling out “Student Council”. Mikamo offered him a small smile before walking to check on the other students.
Fushiguro watched as his senior came to check up on a nervous looking boy. Eyes softening at the way her brows arched in concern. Fushiguro was in awe, the sight of her alone was mesmerizing.
Yet again, the sound of his name is ironic. “Blessing” he's called, yet he's the one being blessed.
No, no, that's corny.
What is he even thinking?!
Fushiguro stared at her again, nibbing at his lower lip. His eyes stayed on her. Lips twitching, fighting the urge to smirk. But the smile (that was not yet present) on his face quickly fell when he saw her hand out her handkerchief to the boy.
Right, her handkerchief.
He hasn't yet returned it.
He doesn't know what got him to come to the conclusion that he's the only one given by Mikamo-senpai a handkerchief. For some reason it made him feel special—
What is he thinking?!
Over a girl he had only met twice for a span of two months. Fushiguro is not dumb enough to “fall” for someone that wasn't as present in his life like his father was.
It would be safer to fall for someone who does care for him.
Ugh, how stupid.
Fushiguro quickly averted his gaze from the scene that felt too painful to even look at. He'd compare it to some kind of torture method from the ancient times.
Oh, he's dramatic.
He quickly regained his focus as soon as he saw Yaga step onto the stage. Calling to everyone to please stand up. That's when Mikamo-senpai bid her farewell to the boy and quickly padded to the backstage.
The rest of the ceremony came to a blur. Fushiguro didn't feel like anything was worth paying attention to.
The only “important” moments he knows was when their principal made his welcome speech and so after the student council president did.
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
As soon as the orientation was over. Students were told to head to their respective class.
Fushiguro followed the crowd, making sure to make the same mistake of entering the wrong building again. He caught a familiar tuft of pink hair from behind him, who gave him a wave and a bright smile. Only to be kicked by the same familiar ginger head.
So they were still put in the same class.
That's odd, Fushiguro actually thought they would be placed to a different one after he saw the boy’s scores (Itadori has the lowest score of 40%).
He didn't bother to wait for them.
It's not like he has to…
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
At his arrival in the class, he sat back on the same seat he was arranged to back on the entrance exam day.
Taking a dokke outside, catching a glimpse of the convenience store nearby. Taking a mental note to go there to buy himself a snack, and one for his sister too.
It didn't take long for their homeroom teacher to arrive. Mr. Nanami Kento, with the same tired look on his face.
He ordered everyone to get up. Putting his papers down the teacher's table. “Good afternoon class, as you already know — I'll be your homeroom teacher, Mr. Nanami.” He said, speaking each word with practice precaution. At the mention of his own name, his eyes landed back to Itadori, who offered him a smile.
“Well, we won't be discussing anything for now, as you all might already know.” he said, fixing his tie, turning to the board and grabbing a chalk. Writing down on bold characters; “じこしょうかい (self introduction)”
Students groaned here and there as soon as the introduction was mentioned. Fushiguro only huffed.
Nanami put the chalk down back at the wooden table. Turning back to his students, “To get things done quickly, let us first introduce ourselves to each other. You might already know your friends, acquaintances and a few schoolmates you are familiar with from your middle school. However, it is better to do a proper one, and, after all, I am not yet familiar with all of you.”
“Let us please start from the back. Miss, please stand up.” Nanami said, pointing at the girl sitting by the door.
The girl stood up as she was told. Her hair was short and curled at the end, brown hair with small pigtails. She smiled softly. “Nice to meet you all, I am Amane Saeri, I am very pleased to be here with you.” she said, doing a courtesy bow.
The girl beside her soon followed after, from her voice alone — Fushiguro instantly recognized her as the giggly girl back in the gymnasium who was shushed by Mikamo-senpai. She introduced herself as “Fujiko Waka-chan” with a smirk. The boy beside her stood after her. Eventually, it was Itadori’s turn, and soon his.
Itadori has a big grin worn on his face, fangs peeking out his lips. “My name's Itadori Yuuji, I like girls like Jennifer Lawrence! It's to meet you all!” Everyone turned to stare at him, murmurs and chuckles rousing which Nanami quickly shuts down before it gets any louder.
What an obnoxious guy. Fushiguro thought, brows furrowing.
Fushiguro stood up when it was finally his turn, people turning their attention to him. Hand snaking its way to his shoulder. “My name's Fushiguro Megumi, I'm 15 years old. And a guy…” Fushiguro said, mumbling the last part. Getting reminded by the time in his elementary school that he was being teased with his feminine given name. Despite the shift in his tone, his expression remained aloof.
It's clear that the Raven haired is unaware of the effect he's causing to the girls in their class who were giggling among themselves.
The girl in front of him, that familiar bob and orange hair rose up from her seat. She smirked confidently as she yelled out her name, “I’m Kugisaki Nobara! I'm from the countryside and now I'm going to explore and enjoy the city!” she declared more to herself than to anyone in the room.
Fushiguro stared at her blankly, remembering how she demanded answers from him like some kind of delinquent.
After the rest of the class had finished introducing themselves one by one. An occasional laughter and giggle filled the room when a classmate cracked a joke in reference to Japanese literatures, historic and latest events.
If Fushiguro will be honest, even if he'd like to admit it or not. Only five people so far had caught his attention. It would be the pinkette sitting beside him and the ginger in front of him — though the two of them are the very least important. His potential “rivals” are who he really is focused on more.
Coming in first place is Amane Saeri;who scored 448. Fushiguro couldn't say anything about her. However, from her gentle demeanor and expression, he could only rule her out as someone who is hardworking and determined yet a kind soul.
Neru Tomoki, scoring 443 in the entrance exam. Probably Fushiguro's actual rival with how he got perfect in Japanese and beat Fushiguro one score in Social Studies.
He doesn't seem the type to be competitive. He seems pretty laid back. Fushiguro doesn't know if that was something he should be worried or relieved of. Still, he seems to be the best in Japanese.
And next; Shizuka Yoru — giving off the vibes of someone who could probably take the place for president in the student council if she were to run for the position. Her total score over 500 is 437. She was higher in English than Amane or Neru, Fushiguro scored a 100 while she scored 97. Even scoring only one point below from Neru in Japanese, it's safe to say she is very smart in the category of Language.
Those 3 are the only ones he could really call interesting in the whole class. After all, he didn't come here with a goal to make a thousand friends but to beat the ones who are overall academic achievers of the school.
Beating his classmates wouldn't be such a trouble. If he studies hard enough, he'll rise to the top just like that. Probably even beat all students in the first year — he'll get to see his name once more listed in the top above all the seven hundreds of names in the school ranking.
His lips twitched up with the mere thought of it. He coughed into his palm. Feeling overly confident.
His only problem will be the second years and third years that are in the overall academic ranking of the whole school.
Especially her.
Mikamo [ ]
Student council vice president and ranking first above all…
Ah —
Fushiguro blinked. Lips parting. Remembering around late January after his middle school graduation, when Gojou had bragged to him about his precious student who'll now be a third year. How smart she is and how she'll soon be running for president.
Could it be that that guy is referring to her?...
He doubts Gojou would enlighten him by providing a response. Or he would…? He wasn't sure, but what's to expect is to be teased later on at the dinner table(if he were to visit).
Agh whatever.
He shouldn't keep thinking about her. She isn't the deal. He'll have to focus on whatever Nanami-san is saying — classroom rules, right.
Fushiguro huffed, fixing his posture as he eyed the rules Nanami-san had written on the board.
- No eating in class
- Only one person could go to the bathroom at a time
- No one talks during discussion
- Make sure to always bring your textbooks
- If you were listed on cleaning duty you should help with the cleaning.
And so on…
He huffed, feeling bored out of his own mind.
Finally, their textbooks were given and soon they were allowed to leave.
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
4:40 pm
Fushiguro was tidying up his stuff when he was approached by Fujiko and her friend, Matsuka.
“Fushiguro-kun, right?!” the girl said giggling to herself. Smiling brightly, looking at him with an expectant gaze.
Fushiguro blinked, feeling embarrassed and shy yet again.
“mhm,” he nodded. “Do you need something…Fujiko-san?” he asked, tilting his head.
The girl smirked, giggling with her friend. “You could just call me Waka-chan! It's fine with me, ehehehe.”
Fushiguro cleared his throat. Instinctively holding onto his shoulder. “Uh, sure then…” he mumbled, glancing at the girl and to her friend. “—Waka-san.”
Fujiko was visibly disappointed, almost feeling rejected with Fushiguro's refusal of referring to her by “Waka-chan" as she had offered. Though, she masked it off with another smile.
“Well, are you free afte—”
“I’m not, sorry…I have to help my sister with cooking.” he said, expression staying the same. Though, his gaze was soft, his polite manner and apologetic tone present.
The girls’ smile fell, yet replaced with a look of admiration and awe. Their faces screaming “ wow! Such a good brother he is! ” That only made Fushiguro even flustered and embarrassed than he already is.
“We-well then…I just excuse myself now. Goodbye, Waka-san and Matsuka-san.” he said, bowing to them which they then returned. “Have a nice day.” he offered them a smile, in order to just be more polite and quickly left.
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
As he had planned, he stopped by the convenience store. Scanning the snacks available and set on display.
He has no specific snack in mind, but nothing here seems appetizing to him. It's either overly sweet snacks, or the performative type, spicy ones or things that he doesn't even like in general.
Like bell pepper chips…
Oh.
Who even likes that?
Fushiguro frowned, glaring like a madman at the chip in aisle 2. Brows furrowed, nose scrunched.
That's stupid. Do people just make flavors out of anything now?
With a scoff, he picked up a caramel popcorn snack, two chocolate bars and potato chips. Grabbing an energy drink which he had seen Tsumiki drink thrice.
He was about to head to the counter when he bumped into someone. Their basket fell to the ground, their groceries they have not yet paid for spilling.
“ah!”
Fushiguro crouched down, helping them gather up their groceries. “I'm sorry, uh, let me hel—” Fushiguro's heart stopped, gaze meeting those familiar orbs etched into the very back of his brain. The stunning shade of her eyes that he could not ever forget.
“Ah,” she huffed, cracking up a smile. “Fushiguro-kun, it's you…”

He gasped, clutching his chest. Avoiding her gaze. Blush spreading across the nape of his neck to the top of his ears. He shook his head, his grip on the cereal tightening. He bit his lips, lifting his eyes up.
Cheeks flush a deep shade of red. Like bell pepper.
“He-hello, Mikamo-senpai.”
He cleared his throat. Quickly gathering everything that's thrown to the ground and putting it back to her basket. “Uh sorry, I wasn't looking where I was goi—”
“No, it's fine…I'm at fault too, hahaha, I'm dozing off.” she admitted. Rising up to her feet and dusting off her skirt.
Fushiguro did not reply, looking only at her. “Well, how about I just pay for it?”
“Huh? Wha— oh, no, no, no! It's fine, what kind of senior will I be if I let my junior pay for my groceries?”
He blinked, cheeks growing even more red. Only further embarrassing himself. He watched as she grew nervous, asking if he was okay.
“Are you okay Fushiguro-kun?”
Ba-dump

He swallowed hard, nodding. “Yeah…uh, don't worry senpai. It's fine, I have money. I could pay for it.” he offered, giving her a small smile.
“No, it's really fine—”
“Please,” he said, “Accept it's an apology.”
She stared at him in surprise, only softly biting her lower lip. Growing hesitant whether she should accept or not. “Y’know it's really fine…you didn't damaged anythi-”
“Please,” he cuts her off once more. With a sigh, she finally nodded and agreed.
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
The two of them lined up at the counter beside each other. Fushiguro was already carrying her basket, for he had insisted that he'll just do it.
Fushiguro tapped his foot to the tiled floor. Heart drumming violently against his ribs, as if it was trying to escape from its “cage”. He sighed. The blush on his face never left, his heartbeat remained unusual, not as fast as earlier but not normal either.
Mikamo cleared her throat, fiddling the strap of her bag. “So, Fushiguro-kun, how's the ceremony, did ya’ enjoy it?”
Fushiguro stared at his senior. Staring down at the roundness of her cheek, the length of her lashes and plumpness of her lips— Fushiguro mentally slapped himself. “Uh, I suppose I did. It went smoothly, if you were to ask me.” he said.
“Hm, is that so?”
“yeah.”
The two of them fell silent. A customer leaving as soon as they had paid for their items, the person in front of them stepping up to let the cashier scan their groceries.
“Say,” The boy immediately turned his attention back to his senior, one brow raised. “—You’re quite the catch, aren't you, Fushiguro-kun?♡”
Fushiguro's mouth fell open, the red on his cheeks darkening and spreading even more. Making him appear as if he's sick. “Eh?”
“Well, you're popular with girls, aren't ya’ not?”
“Next!” the cashier yelled.
Fushiguro turned his head to the cashier, sliding the their groceries to the counter. Prioritizing hers first. He could have catched the smile on her face if he kept his focus on her, but his eyes stayed forward while he dug for his wallet from his bag.
The cashier wrapped Mikamo’s groceries, handing them to Fushiguro. The boy held onto it instead of immediately handing it to his senior.
When Fushiguro finished paying for their items, he used his free hand to open the door for the both of them.
“So, as my question from earlier.” She said, bringing the topic back. Fushiguro only stayed silent, letting her talk as they walked side by side. “Were you always popular, Fushiguro-kun?”
The boy hesitated. Not really knowing what to say. Though it's true he is popular, especially with the ladies — he won't be saying that. Out of fear he'll sound too arrogant. “Kind of…”
“Mhm, well I could tell.”
“Huh?” Fushiguro blinked in surprise, a sweat dripping down his cheek..
“What’s with that face?” she chuckled, “I mean, you have the looks, Fushiguro-kun. And aren't you a gentleman!”
The boy flushed even a darker shade of red. Amazing, he looks like he's carrying the plague around while walking around freely when he should be put under quarantine.
“Well, thank you so much, Fushiguro-kun!” She said, taking the grocery from his hand. Giving him a bright smile. “But this is my stop, see ya around!” then she left, crossing the street and giving him a wave of goodbye. Fushiguro waved back slowly, watching her disappear within the large crowd of people.
⋆⋆✴︎˚。⋆⋆✴︎˚。⋆⋆✴︎˚。
Fushiguro went home with a smile present on his face. Oddly carrying a lighthearted atmosphere around, bringing inside a an enthusiastic energy.
As soon as he opened the door, Gojou immediately noticed the smile on his face and declared that he had been “possessed”.
He didn't argue nor does he care. He immediately went to the kitchen where his sister is currently preparing their dinner for tonight. Making a face upon the unusual vibes he's carrying.
“I bought groceries.” he said.
Tsumiki huffed, “really?” she furrowed her brows. Still feeling weirded out. She took a look at the bag, eyes widening slightly.
“woah. What's the sudden change in decision, Megumi?” she asked, Fushiguro stared at her with a confused look.
“What do you mean?”
“I thought you hated bell peppers?” she said, pulling out a bell pepper chips from the bag.
“Huh?”
Fushiguro grabbed the bag from the counter, looking at it's content. His jaw immediately dropped once he saw the familiar cereal box.
Oh.
Had they accidentally swapped groceries?...

Extra info!!
• I was about to make Noritoshi Kamo the president here but I realized he was in Kyoto
• Fushiguro still had not yet returned the handkerchief, yes.
• There's really no oc x cannon here. So don't worry!
• Fushiguro is canonically attractive man. Gojo, Nobara and Yuuji have to start forming formation whenever he gets hit on and Gojo did told him he's popular with girls too (in the manga)
• I'm making yn like an older sister figure to Yuuji here, so any yuuji scenes doesn't really intended to be romantic (sorry...)
• It's also cannon that Fushiguro dislike bell peppers or sweet dishes— I made it seem like he hated it though, but it's only a dislike. I got it from the official art by Mappa where he's glaring at the red pepper he's holding.
• I think we all know who the caramel popcorn is for— that's right, for Megumi! (also cannon)
• I know bell pepper chips is NOT a real thing. Let's pretend we're (yes WE, as in yn) bought it for a friend or family.
a/n: This is not proofread, obviously... Sorry for late upload, our finals just finished last week. So I had decided I might turn this into a series atleast 10 chapters or more! Reblogs and comments are very much appreciated♡

"Go to hell" is basic. "May your favorite character, whose whole arc is about finding a reason to live as a 15 years old in the cruelest of situations, be slandered by the fandom ENDLESSLY for it and may he die OFFSCREEN in the sequel, just to be mentioned in the very last chapter with a single line of dialogue" is real. And it somehow happened to me.

You sure did get a lot from four pages of epilogue, huh. For me, it's weirder to declare those two characters are father and child based on two data points with almost nothing between them. We don't know what happened between Uraume and Sukuna between the epilogue and their first appearance in the heian era. What you're saying is a headcanon, not Canon, and it's embarrassing that you don't know the difference.
Headcannon? What that Sukuna DID took Uraume with him? I get that people will view they're relationship as somewhat romantic, because of how Sukuna only lets Uraume stick with him and in ch 271 that Sukuna chose Uraume.
But in the epilogue, Uraume IS a child. In ch 271, Sukuna took the adult Uraume with him (still same hair and kimono from epilogue but taller, probably an error, so this still could be the child Uraume since I'm basing on their height difference from the epilogue)
Compare it to their adult design, they aren't any taller but let's use context clues. Sukuna has a rougher face when Uraume is already an adult. Besides, Sukuna already said he wasn't into romance...? Again — Sukuna is already an adult when he found Uraume. Uraume said they don't know anything what happened and when they woke up they're parents are gone (almost like how a clueless child who's unaware how to control their own technique would speak, don't you think?). PLEASE READ URAUME'S EPILOGUE to get a better understanding of my point. There's no way you still think it's okay. Uraume's a literal child (I did said they are probably around the age of 7-10 but they're probably 11, but does that make it any better??) when they met Sukuna. Sukuna is already an adult that time. It is weird.
!!JJK MANGA SPOILERS!!
this content contains manga spoilers, please scroll if you do not wish to be spoiled
Shipping Sukuna with uraume IS weird. Whether you don't view their relationship as father and child, even if you only view them as a servant and master — Sukuna found uraume when they were probably still around the age 7-10. He basically raised uraume.
I mean, you'll found it weird when someone basically adopts a child, the child stick with them and that person and the child; whom already grown, got together, no?

How will you deal with the sudden surge of attention the person you admired gave to you—out of the blue?
Based of this drabble of mine.
warnings: none
A/N: I'm trying to be accurate to the Japanese living style and how things work in Japan — plenty things stated may be inaccurate. I'm really up for gender neutral reader but since most of Megumi's fans (who reads fanfics of him) are girls I'll make this an f!reader fanfic. There is use of she/her pronounce but reader is not feminized, I'm also going to be using a last name for reader to avoid overusing "yn" or pronouns. I'm not sure if I'll turn this to a full series or mini series (probably only 3-4 chapters??)

Fushiguro has no type in women. Matter of fact, he isn't interested in women at all — no, not because he's into men instead or anything. That's just a wrong way of phrasing it. More like, because he isn't really into romance. No, not at all.
Fushiguro Megumi is not interested in anyone, atleast in this current part of life; sure, it's already his teenage years, he's gonna enter highschool and crushes and growing admirations would be inevitable...but, to Fushiguro? That's not the case. For someone like him, who focuses on their studies rather than the romantic aspect of their young lives—dating is something he should be less worried about. It's not that he'll be avoiding all the “fun” in his upcoming, highschool experience, just, well, avoid the unnecessary troubles that doubles his burdens.
To be very clear; Fushiguro is not interested on developing any romantic relations with anyone, it isn't his top priority and it sounds impossible that he'll have any actual attraction that could be seen as tender affection for someone. He is still young, a novice in that category that he's still yet to experience. In this amateur state of his life, and basing on his age, there's a possibility that either him or his partner (or both of them) would end up actually being frivolous about their relationship.
Now, speaking of the original topic... Fushiguro did not have a specific type in women, or just in anyone. However, the boy did look for one quality in a person; an unwavering kindness, a pure and unfading compassion for others and oneself. A quality that his sister—the one who stands up almost like a parental figure to him, happened to have.
This trait is something that Fushiguro only wished for one to have. The kindness in one soul is enough to prove to him that the person is worth loving and trusting, someone he could lean to in need for help.

After Fushiguro's middle school graduation, his benefactor; the infamous Gojou Satoru, had asked him what highschool he wished to attend. Fushiguro simply answered that he'll follow along his sister's path, though, the older man insist he make a decision of his own—follow the very path he decided to take out of pure interest and determination instead of it just due to being out of convinience; simply a default choice.
“It's not necessary,” Fushiguro said bluntly, “I'll go attend at Tsumiki's school, it's better than that. More efficient too.”
Gojou only chuckled at his words, dismissing him with a wave of his hand. “Oh, silly.” “c'mon, just make your choice. It won't be that bad.”
“I told you, it's fine. It's better if I'm around Tsumiki, if any of us ran into trouble — we could just help each other.”
“Eh, c'mon now, you're not a little boy anymore, Megumi.” Gojou teased, grimacing under his breath. His long finger pressed against the soft skin of the younger boy's cheek, tilting his head with a smug look worn on his face “You shouldn't rely on your sister for everything. It's time to quit tailing behind her.”
“I wasn't—” before Fushiguro could even finish his sentence, Gojou's index and middle finger was pushed to his lips, forcing him to close his mouth.
“Shushhh now, boy.” he mumbled, “I'm just saying, Megumi, make a decision of your own. Pick something you do want.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“How about Tokyo Metropolitan? You'd do an outstanding job there. Even if you're a delinquent — you have a smart brain, Megumi! You'll do a good job at their fighting club!”
“the school allows that...?”

Late January, 202X
Shibuya was busy as always, the streets were full of civilians, cars passing by the busy roads. The Shibuya crossing packed with people as always. Even in broad daylight, the billboards are shining bright — showing various advertisements and promotions of some product, newly released anime/manga and musics of some popular j-pop artist.
Fushiguro was walking side by side with his benefactor. Megumi was pulled out of his room, only dressed in a black long sleeve shirt and green cargo pants. The man beside him only wore a simple all black fit; an oversized button up shirt and a fit pants — Munching on a strawberry flavored crepes, an ice cream and two churros on his other hand he was yet to eat.
“Have you made your decision yet, Megumi?” Gojou asked him, standing out like a sore thumb across the crowd, with his white air and gigantic height.
Fushiguro paused, his grip of the plastic cup tightened slightly, almost making the lid slide off along the paper straw. “... Not yet. Ah, but, well, guess I'll just go to Tokyo.”
“Woah, would you look at that! Megumi-kun's actually considering my offer!”
“You've been offering it since forever.” he rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh. “Well, whatever. It's still close to Shinjuku anyway.” he said, taking a long sip of his drink.
Gojou didn't replied instantly, just gave a smile and a low laugh. “oh, Megumi, you worry about your sister a lot, don't you?”
The boy turned away, praying that the pink hue spreading to the nape of his neck isn't so obvious.

Tokyo Metropolitan Star Highschool; a sister school of Kyoto Metropolitan Star Highschool — both owned and "Tengen-sama".
Both schools had a good reputation, however, Kyoto was more known for their 95% success rate with making their students graduate with an average of atleast 94-97 percent, some students even excel at full on 100% meanwhile, at Tokyo; more known for It's amazing teaching skills of philosophy and swordsmanship. Tokyo was mostly attended for it offered more on teaching students with different form of martial arts and use of tools for fighting. It's not that Tokyo is weak with education and Kyoto is weak at the aspect of fighting — the two are just less known for the other category that they both have, only because the other happened to surpass the other with the certain category.
Kyoto was strict with manners, Tokyo too, but most teachers are loose but make sure to give students who violates rules a good lecture and deserving punishments. Rarely any students decide to rebel once they stepped foot in Kyoto or Tokyo Metropolitan High, the ones who does are just punks craving for attention.
Tokyo does host a lot of contest, they rank students from different classes basing on their performance and behaviors, from the lowest rank to the highest. Those who receive high ranks in ranking, mostly the top 6th or 5th to the 1st get to be ranked by grade level and overall general.
Only a few student had actually maintained their position on the general ranking of all students in Tokyo Metropolitan high, surprisingly managing stress and getting to still be in Top 10. One of those students, always manages to land on the top 3, either top 3, 2 or 1st. She always land around the top 3 ever since she entered Tokyo Metropolitan.
Fushiguro's goal was to get into the Top 10 or Top 5, beat one of excellent and consist well performing students for the position. She's one of those students, whom, he have to surpass, or atleast try to. He didn't have a certain motive, however, he just have to prove to his sister that this time — he's solely focused on his studies, and he'd be staying out of trouble like he had promised her.
He wasn't competitive, but, again, he'll be putting his all for this time of his life. After all, being one of the top students in the school leaves a history and grants you a recognition.
⋆⋆⋆⋆
“Well, I'm certainly glad. ” He grinned ear to ear, patting the porcupine head, “Hehe, maybe I'll get my 3rd year student to show you around!”
“I thought you only teach first years there...” that's the reason why Megumi was still hesitant, if the other students were to know he had relations with Gojou, they'll probably suspect him of only being able to ace up just because of his connections. He could only hope Gojou will shut up about it, or be placed in a different class that Gojo isn't teaching.
“Exactly, I teach first years! I'm talking about my previous student, a really smart one! Maybe you could go ask her to tutor you. She'll graduate soon, sheesh - time flies fast, don't they?”
“I don't care about your previous student.” he said bluntly, eyes landing on the bookstore they passed by, scanning the books they have in display, seeing if he could go back sometime to buy one.
Gojou pouted, brows arching, “Oww, how harsh of you! So mean already, Megumi! You haven't even met her yet, y'know she's one of the top students, yeah?”
“I said I don't ca...” Megumi paused, stopping right on his tracks. His eyes immediately met the blue orbs of the man beside him. “Wait- she's a top student?” he quirks a brow, waiting for Gojous confirmation.
“Wow, it's rare to see you interested. Getting competitive all of the sudden?” the man giggled, “Well, damn right she is! I'm such an amazing teacher! She isn't only brain-smart, she actually have common sense and good sense of respect. Would ya' believe it, she's the previous secretary of the council on her first year, the vice president in her second — now she's running for president, vote for her, okay??”

Late February, 202X
→ February 26
Entrance exam day
Exactly at 7:20, Fushiguro arrived at the school whilst riding his bicycle and wearing his middle school uniform. Students were already entering the building, swarming inside in groups. The school isn't that packed, yet. He figured, only a quarter had arrived — meaning over a 900 students had arrived, compared to the at least 7000 or more students that enrolled on the school. As he had last seen, and according to Google, the school have the enormous two buildings, a soccer and baseball field (seperated), a garden, and basketball court inside the large gym.
A portable sidewalk sign was placed near the gate, with a chalk drawn drawing of bandaritas, with " 皆さん頑張ってください!" ( Good to luck to everyone, please do your best! ) written on it in bold lettering, from vice president, it read in the lower right corner with smiley face drawn beside it.
Fushiguro stared only for a few moments before staring to walk ahead, only one strap of his bag hangging my his shoulder while the other slipped off, swaying with each step he took.
Once he stepped inside. He only checked his phone once for the time and for the room he's assigned to, instantly searching around the building.
He wandered around, checking each rooms for the classrooms he's assigned to. "1-B" he repeated thrice under his breathe, searching each rooms. Brows furrowing. After not finding his luck in the ground floor, he entered first floor, then the second, then the third, fourth and fifth until he was already out of breath for searching for atleast half an hour.
He pants, one hand gripping the handrail tightly. A beads of sweat sticking to his damp forehead and throat. His knees buckled, his hand moved to the wall, mouth agape, trying to catch his breath. He then heard footsteps behind him, instantly making him freeze and turn around.
He then saw a female student, wearing the uniform of the school, making him raise a brow—he's pretty sure school doesn't start until April?
The student tilted her head at him, her hands filled with papers, which he could only assumed were the exam papers, Fushiguro turned his body, making a way for her. But she didn't immediately moved, just stared at him.
Fushiguro blinked, staring back at her.
He swallowed hard, wipping the sweats of his face using his sleeves, a tint of pinkish hue creeping it's way to his nape up to his cheeks.
“Oh, are you one of the examinees?” she asked softly, awaiting for his answer. Her eyes on him, only. A small, gentle and welcoming smile worn on her face.
Fushiguro turned his head away, avoiding her gaze, which is probably his biggest mistake for it caused his pink tinted nape to be exposed. “Oh- y...yes..”
“Oh, is that so?” she hummed, walking over the stairs, stopping as soon as she stepped foot on the landing. Only when did she looked at him from her shoulders without fully turning her body to face him — she was a student council, from the arm band she wore around her arm with large lettering spelling out 生徒会 (Student Council), that would've explain why she's here in the first place...
“So you're an examinee, correct?”
Fushiguro only nodded, eyes half lidded, his gaze narrowing from her eyes to the stair boards,to the painted walls.
“Are you a transfer?”
“sort of,”
She hummed nodding in response, “are you a...second year, or a first year...?”
“... First year.” he answered with hint of hesitant laced on his tone, only because she asked with skepticism.
“Oh.” she blinked, “what room are you assigned in?”
“1-B?”
Her brows furrowed, “first year... In room 1-B?”
“yes” Fushiguro confirmed.
“Oh.” she huffed, brows arching, the corner of her lips twitching. “You're in the wrong the building, sweetie.” she said softly, a chuckle escaping her lips.
“Ohh..” Fushiguro fell silent, crimson spreading about his cheeks, nose and the tip of his ears.
“Ah- don't worry!” she reassured him, “I'll show you to your room, I'll just pass these papers to the office of Yaga-san first.” she said, the smile on her face growing into a reassuring grin.
“ahh- r... Rig—right...” he nodded. Eyes falling to his polished shoes. He didn't bother lifting his head up to watch her walk off, feeling her presence was gone and no longer near...his hand slapped to his mouth, his entire face being coated in the shade of red.
Shit.
That's embarassing, as hell.
He'll be remembering that his entire life, she'll be too, he'll be the laughing stock.
Oh god, what a way to embarass yourself...
He cursed under his breath, unconsciously stomping his feet at the steps, he winced, embrassment sweeping through his veins, swallowing him whole. He just wished to melt into his shadows and disappear forever. He can't believe it, he absolutely can't believe it.
He just spend half an hour, when he could've been out there in the classroom already...he wasted 30 minutes. THIRTY MINUTES. Looking for the class he's assigned to in the wrong building. He climbed up to the highest floor....
He wish he could pull on his hair, but all he afford to do is slap himself.
When the student goes back, she just gave him a warm smile. “Were you lost?” she asked, even though the answer is quite obvious. Just by the look of Megumi's troubled expression and the sweats on his forehead.
He only hummed, letting out a sigh as the both of them descend down the stairs.
“Sorry, you're probably not informed, huh? The 1st years would take the exam in the building near the cafeteria.”
He shook his head, “uh. No... Not quite. I wasn't informed about that.” he replied, after all, he really wasn't, despite his literal legal guardian working in here as a teacher, he wasn't informed of that, at all.
“Do you need water?”
“I'm fine, I'm fine,” he said, waving his hand dismissively.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Fushiguro replied, instantly, a little too quickly, part of it was because he was embarrassed and the other was because his flustered because he was embrassed.
“Well, use my handkerchief then.” the student offered, brows meeting, the glistening in her eyes showed her worry and pity for him.
She pulled out the handkerchief from the pocket of her blazer, handing it to him. The fabric was cotton, a red color with embroidery of birds in the upper left side. Fushiguro was hesitant at first, ofcourse, he'd be. It was someone else's handkerchief he was using, not his.
“Hey, it's fine. You could keep it, too, you need it. I always bring an extra one.”
“I don—”
“No, it's fine. You should definitely use it, though.” she mumbled, eyeing him up an down, “You're damped in sweat. It's better than using your own sleeve.”
“right. Sorry about that...uh- thank you anyway.” he muttered, voice lowering. His gaze narrowed to meet hers, for some reason, the close proximity only cause for him to sweat even more. Their arms were touching, that's how close they are. Hhe didn't even bother to move off.
He could smell a swift of her cologne, the scent of citrus and lavender mixing together, battling the scent of petrichor he carries.
“Is this your first time around here?”
“Uh, not really...'s just quite big, I didn't really noticed it.” he muttered, scratching the back of his ear.
She chuckled lowly, “It's fine, you weren't informed after all...well, does that mean you have arrived here before?”
The boy fell silent, lifting his chin up to look at the sky, his hand he gently wrapped around the piece of fabric he's carrying. He contemplated his choice, would he just be honest and straightforward, or, just be a even extra awkward by not answering like what's he's during right now, by sweating even more, looking around but expect at her — “Yeah, I've be—been actually.” he blurted out, “I mean, technically... uhh, enrollment? And, Google, did... research.”
“Oh,” she chuckled, “Right, that certainly made sense.” The two of them had already exited the first building, he let himself trail behind her, creating a small distance, letting her lead the way as she should. She turned round, heading to the direction of the cafeteria.
“Well, tell me, may I know your name?” she asked, titling her head, hands colliding. “Since you're a first year, that makes me your senpai, just call me Mikamo.”
“wouldn't it be more respectful if—”
“No it's fine, besides, I really want to make my juniors feel comfortable around me.”
“Right, uh... It's Fushiguro...”
“Fushiguro? Like the flower, that's awesome, isn't it?”
Fushiguro just nodded, slowly narrowing his eyes away from her. He huffed, clenching his fist. Something weird just happened; he feels a sudden lump forming in his throat, a sudden tightness of his chest. His heart seemingly beating faster, pumping more blood into his veins in a speed way faster than average.
The boy paused right on his tracks, breath hitching. He swallowed hard, hands clutching his chest, gaze falling on the ground he's stepping on.
“Is something wrong?” his senior asked.

Ohhh.
This is bad. What's up with him?
Is he....
....seriously....
“Fushiguro-kun?” Instantly, she ran to him, but the boy backs away. He bit his lower lip, closing his eyes shut. Brows knitting, nose scrunched.
“ah- I think... Uhh.” he paused, clearing his throat. “having a...ahh-”
“...panic attack?” she whispered, looking at him with a worried expression. “Oh- oh god! That's bad! We shou—”
“N-no- no...no...” he shook his head. “I'm fine....” he said. Eyes still focused over the ground beneath him. A sweat dropping from his forehead to his chin. “I think— I'm actually...j-just about to have a heart attack....?”
“Wha- WHAT??!!!”
。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚。⋆⋆˚
“It seems to me nothing's wrong.” Ieiri said, twirling with a stand of her hair. Back pressed against the brown swivel chair.
“Are you sure? Ahh, oh, god...Are you sure?” The student council blabbered on, her brows arched, causing a wrinkle or two on her forehead to form.
“Mikamo-chan, calm down. I've done several check up already. And the last time I checked; I'm the expert here, and not you, dear.” she sighed, drumming her fingers onto her desk, scattered about with unorganized documents. “I assure you, nothing's wrong with him.”
Ieri's gaze narrowed, falling over to Fushiguro. Seated on the edge of the uncomfortable infirmary bed. A pink hue creeping it's way to his cheeks, spreading more color to his skin. Embrassment washing over him. She clicked her tongue, turning her chair to make her face his direction. Swinging a leg over the other, “besides, you're fine. Right, Fushiguro-kun?”
Fushiguro could only nod reluctantly. It seems that his senior was too consumed with asking the repetitive question inquiring about his health, too consumed to even realize or acknowledge the fact that Ieiri called to him — refering to him by his last name, which, his senior never told the doctor ever.
“But—”
“It's just the heat. Well, he should go drink some water — he might faint and things will actually get serious. Though, I could assure you... he's all good.” The older woman said, standing up from her chair, walking pass the two teenagers, heading for the door. “I'm telling you; he's completely fine. Well, you only have 12 minutes.” she said, glancing over the clock on the wall. Reading: 8:18.
Fushiguro cleared his throat, straightening his back. “Ah...Ieiri-san's.... right...” he huffed, “I'm very sorry for troubling you. Senpai.” The boy said, standing up to bow down, showing the sincerity of his apology and respect.
“Ah- could you really stand up?” She asked, the look of concern on clear display. Not for pretend but out of pure worry, worrying for the younger student before her.
Slowly, Fushiguro lifted his head up. Eyes widening, just slightly. Overwhelmed with concern being washed over him by his senior. Something he don't usually received unless it's from his sister.
She instinctively raise her hands, almost as if trying to reach for his shoulders and force him to sit back down — “You should rest y'know...well- if you can't take the exam today... You could do it tomorrow, y'know!”
“It's fine. I'm really sorry for troubling you. I'm fine now, I'm really sorry.” he mumbled, brows pinching together. Nose scrunching in the slightest bit, “I understand you're worried. But, uhh...see I'm fine— I really appreciate your help...and concern...Thank you so much, senpai.” he said, bowing down once more.
“no,no, no it's fine. Ahh- c'mon, are you heading to the examination room now?” she asked gently, clearing her throat.
“I should be, I think.”
“Yes, yes, exactly.” she huffed, closing her eyes for a moment. Turning towards the brunette standing by the door, the student gave a bow and a small smile. “Thank you for your help, Ieiri-san...! We'll leave now.”
The woman only hummed, pushing the door open, stepping to the side whilst still holding the door open for the two of them. “Go now. Stay safe and goodluck.”
Fushiguro walked out the room after his senpai did. Eyes casted down, lips tightly shut. Walking in the same speed to match the lady he's tailing after.
The atmosphere grew quiet, a hint of tension lingers; filling the empty spaces between them; small distance that separates the two.
The halls had already emptied out, with each end, door and stairs having atleast one, two or maybe 3 more students running to in order to head to the room they were assigned to.
“You're assigned to 1-B, right?”
Fushiguro nodded.
“Hm, that's good. I heard most students there have good grades! You must be a well performing student, aren't you, Fushiguro-kun?” she asked in a vivacious manner. Reminding Megumi of the love interest of the main character from an anime Gojou would force him to watch with him — as usual, the woman paired with the guy is all cheerful, caring and meek. While as the guy is the same nonchalant, aloof and strong boy.
Fushiguro shook his head, coughing onto his fist. “Em. I suppose. I have...good grades.” he mumbled, bringing a hand behind his hair, scratching his scalp. “But- I wouldn't call myself... ‘a well performing student’. I'm... pretty average.”
“Is that so?” a giggle escape her lips. “Good grades are still equivalent to a good performance, Fushiguro.” she said with a smile. “Ah, anyways —”
“...here we are!”
The boy couldn't help but frown, even though he's unsure why (he is, infact, very sure of it why). “Oh,” was the only response he could give.
The two of them stopped by the door. She huffed, giving him a pat in the back. “Good luck, Fushiguro-kun! You could do it!” she grinned.
The boy didn't said a thing. His eyes narrowed to her hand, still planted to his back. Noticing his gaze , she immediately slipped her hand off his body. “Ah- sorry.”
“It's fine.” he mumbled, “Ah, thank you again. Mikamo-senpai...”
“You're welcome! Please do your best, okay? You could totally ace this test! I believe in ya'!”
Fushiguro bit back a chuckle, nibbing on his lower lip, causing his lips to quiver. Forcing the corner of his mouth to stay in a straight line, and dare not lift up. “Thank you...”
He watched as she walked off the hall, waving him a goodbye. He huffed, sliding the door open, stepping inside. Head lowered.
The advisor's ears perked up, eyes flashing with recognition at the sight of Fushiguro's spiky hair. “oh, look, we're complete now. That's good.” he said under his breathe. “Please take a seat, the examination will begin shortly after.”
Fushiguro only nodded, sitting at the seat at last row, the only seat left that's not yet occupied. He huffed, pulling out his pencil and eraser out of his bag.
“In 3 minutes, we will begin. You have an hour to answer all the questions given. Once finished, please immediately turn your paper in.”
The boy beside Fushiguro raised his hand, bright pink hair sticking out in the crowd; due to It's notably unique color. “Mr. Nanamin, What's the passing score?”
The students around murmured. No one could blame them. He just called their serious and very strict (looking) advisor; Mr. Nanami by a made up nickname.
“...I couldn't tell yet, I'm sorry.” the man replied gruffly . “What's your name?”
“Itadori Yuuji, sir!”
“Please, Itadori-kun, Call me Nanami-sensei, or Nanami-san, either of the two will do.”
The boy fell silent, then a small smile formed to his face, quickly turning into a cheeky grin. “Alrighty Nanamin Kento-san.”
All students turn to him.
Is he serious?
The room quiet down. No one dared to speak or make a sound. Then, the door was opened, “Nanami-san, here are the papers.” the student said, presumably one of the students. Pale skin and white hair that framed their cheeks, straight bangs and a short hair similar to what a female student normally has. Expect the student wears boys uniform.
Nanami immediately turned to the student, taking the papers from their hold. “Thank you, Uraume.”
The exam started after. The first exam they'll take is English. Fushiguro stared at the paper, a huff leaving his lips. Gladly thanking the Gods above and around — the exam was easier than expected, or atleast for him.
Fushiguro was the first one to finish.
Under 20 minutes of the 1 hour they gave to finish, he already answered all the questions. A few students seemed to be in shock after seeing him do so.
The boy beside him, Itadori was struggling. Fushiguro could only stare, then draw his attention outside, to the window. Watching as the birds flew by. The girl infront him was cursing, her hand constantly running over her hair. Messing up her hair.
The next exam was Japanese. Fushiguro was quick to finish. Expect that he wasn't the first to turn his paper but the boy beside him. Fushiguro was reluctant. He ran a hand through his hair, letting out a huff.
Please do your best!
Sure, he would. He certainly would.
After checking his paper one last time, he stood up and turned his paper in.
Science came next, Fushiguro finished first. The other students noticed this, their competitiveness flaming up, writting answers even faster.
After Science, it was Social Studies. Fushiguro didn't have a hard time either, but it did made him think for quiet some time like Japanese and Science did.
English was the easiest one. He thought, silently hoping that math won't be too hard (despite that he doesn't struggle much with the said subject).
Once again, Fushiguro was the first to turn his paper in.
By the time it was already math. Fushiguro could only sigh, it wasn't all too easy but he could assure himself he could answer it.
Before passing his paper, he made sure to double check all his answers. The boy beside him was already shaking, forehead pressed to the wooden desk, the tip of his nose touching the answer sheet. Hand gripping his pencil tightly, his other hand holding the top of his head, grabbing a fistfull of his own hair. Obviously struggling, trying and failing to comprehend the questions (probably).
When he stands up, some students raised their heads in shock. Watching his turn his paper in. Nanami took his paper with a hum. Looking up at him with a look of approval.
“Hm, excellent. You may sit down now.” the boy nodded, heading back to his chair. His fist pressed to his cheek as he stared out the window.
He did a good job. He thinks. He wasn't really worried, not that he's feeling all prideful. But he knows he'll pass. Probably getting the passing score or the average. He huffed, closing his eyes.

By the time the exam was finished, students started talking to each other, walking out with a friend or alone. Fushiguro was packing his bag when the girl Infront of him abruptly stand up. Her chair shaking and almost falling back. She groaned, turning to him.
“Hey, you! Porcupine head!”
Fushiguro didn't turn immediately, partly only because he was unsure if she was refering to him or not and also because he doesn't want to accept she was calling him that.
“Are you talking to me? ”
“Who else, duh?!” she scoffed, hands in her hips, “How'd you do that, huh? You answer so fast, are ya' cheating?”
“Excuse me?”
“I asked if you're cheating or not.”
Fushiguro shut his lips. Letting out a sigh. “I didn't. The answers were quite easy... it's just out of luck that I have knowledge of the questions.”
“Huh? What— you implying I'm dum—”
“Really? How'd you learn it?” the boy beside him asked. Leaning back, pressing all his body weight down onto the chair he sits on.
The two of them turned their heads to the pinkette who flashed them a smile in return.
“...I study...?”
“No, but...ehh, how?” the boy asked with a pout, brows arching, almost knitting together.
Fushiguro sighed, glancing back the ginger behind him. “Well, I listen to class and read textbooks for further informations.”
“...”
“Eh, what a bore! I don't like reading that much...” the girl mumbled, looking away.
“I like reading,” the pinkette said, “only mangas thou—”
“Hey, no one asked you.”
“That's rude!”
Fushiguro grabbed his bag, leaving the two bantering, walking off the class to the hall. He sighed, shaking his head. The two probably notice he left, guessing by the loud slam as the door was slid open. Without even turning around, he could feel the ginger and the pinkette's eyes planted on him.
“Oh! It's Fushiguro-kun!”
Upon hearing that familar voice once more, he stopped right on his tracks. Turning around almost instantly, and as soon as he did so, he felt as if he froze in place; he stood straight and still, arms on his side, foot stayed rooted onto the floor. He didn't move an inch, just stared at the girl before him.
“Oh- did I shocked you?” a chuckle escaped her lips, eyes closed, soft sound of laughter playing like a smooth jazz music to his ears.
“No- not...not at all.” he said, shoulders slumping.
“So! How was the test?” she asked, clasping her hands together. Turning 'round to continue their journey out about the building, Fushiguro followed without another word.
He huffed, looking down at the ground. “Not bad. English was definitely the easiest one.”
“Oh, really? Hehehe, so you're good with language then!”
“...not much in Japanese. Uhh, I'm not an expert at reading kanji...” he replied, one hand snaking up to caress the skin of the nape of his neck.
She chuckled, nodding in response. “Oh, yeah, kanji's hard.”
He hummed, clearing his throat as they approach the gate. “Uhh-”
“We're both leaving now, we school council members are free to go since the exams are over.” at that, he hummed, staring at her with slightly parted lips. “Uh- so, hmm...where do you live?”
“I don't think I could tell you that...” the boy replied, changing his grip on his school bag.
“Oh, yeah- right...ehh, but y'know, uhh, I'm just curious, maybe we live in the same neighborhood— or...district!...”
“I live in Harajuku...”
She paused, eyes slightly widening. Her reaction made the Raven haired instantly halt his steps. A smile made it's way to her face, quite reaching her eyes, “What a coincidence; I'm from Harajuku too!”
“Oh?-”
“Hehehe, then maybe we could walk home together.”
Fushiguro was about to agree (despite the fact he doesn't know why) but he shut his lips immediately, remembering his bike that he rode to get here. “Uh- I actually...ride my bi—”
“Ohhh” she cuts him off, nodding at him, “Oh- haha! Ahh...sorry-” she swallowed hard, stepping back, “Right, then be safe!”
Fushiguro frowned at her reaction, the look of disappointment on her face, made a feeling of bitterness rise up to his chest. “Uh- We could still walk together...or ride my bike together...if you wa—” Fushiguro slapped a hand to his mouth, a red hue painting colors to his cheeks and the tip of his ears. He watched as her eyes widen in surprise, she too, was, blushing, because of the impulsive offer he made.
“Ahh- it's fine! I'll- ahh- there!” she said, pointing to her fellow school council member, “Uraume-chan's there, uhh, we're neighbors, umm, I'll walk with them!” she padded off the next second she finished talking, waving him a hurried goodbye.
The boy watched her as she grabbed her companion by the shoulder, earning her a glare and light push.
“Ohh...”

He left the school in dismay. As if he joined a big competition he trained for so hard only to leave without a single award. That's how disappointed he felt. And he couldn't even describe why or how. Why would he feel that why. Or how did he feel that way.
He can't even describe the tightness in his chest. Like his heart was being squeezed from the inside. He sighed, shaking his head, dragging his bike with him, walking in a slow pace.
ring! ring!
From not so as far he hears the soft whirring of an approaching bicycle's tire, the soft sound of it's wheels. He glanced from his shoulder, only to catch the pink haired boy from earlier.
“Hello! You're the smart guy, aren't ya'?”
Fushiguro's brows furrowed, “don't call me that.”
“So it was you!” he grinned, paddling slowly, matching his pace. “I saw you talking to Mikamo-senpai earlier, you guys know each other?”
Fushiguro paused, brows knitting together. Unintentionally scorning at the boy before him. “You know her?”
“That's what I was asking you! Well, yeah I do.” he shrugged, grip tightening at the handlebars. “She knows my older brothers. And a friend of my brother, so I know her.”
“ah... well- Not really. I only knew her because she talked to me.”
“Oh, really? That's right, Mikamo-senpai is really nice!”
“Yeah... pretty...nice...” he said, mumbling to himself. pretty and nice.
He huffed, turning back to face the pink haired boy, “Ah, your name is... Itadori, am I correct?”
“You remember! Hehe, yeah, I'm Itadori Yuuji, at your service sir.” with a cheeky grin, he attempted to bow, causing him to fall off his bike and collide with Fushiguro
He ended up telling the boy his age, they two soon learned they live in the same neighborhood. Fushiguro did learn too, that Itadori used to live in Sendai (the boy was oversharing information about himself). And surprisingly, his brother had been a good friend of Mikamo ever since grade school.
That means Itadori too, was close with her.
Maybe being close with Itadori means being closer to her too. Well, he'd have to try and figure that out.

Early march, 202X
→ March 8th
The results of the exam soon came out. Fushiguro was dressed in a simple white shirt and blue jorts. He looked at bulletin board posted up by the wall. Many students gather with him, looking for their name. Fushiguro was baffled, out of all first years who took the test — He scored the highest.
He didn't even have to search for his name, it was already listed off as teh first.
He did aced up the test.
Damn.
Was it from hardwork or because of her? Atleast she was right. It was a success , he passed the entrance exam.
He huffed out a laugh, the corner of his eyes lifting up. Then, his eyes narrowed to the other bulletin, on the opposite side of the room. He approached the board, he learnt from Gojo — this is were they post up the general ranking of all students of Tokyo Metropolitan high. Fushiguro looked from the lowest, when he reached the top 10. He was carefully analyzing their average and name.
Because these are the ones he'd be competing with.
Even though only a handful are in the same year as him and a not already a third year. Then, he reached the top 5;
5. Kahana Iwasaki - 92. 34%
4. Mei Miyasaki - 93. 44%
3. Akane Hayasaku - 94.40%
2. Aoi Iori - 95. 22%
He had noticed how they're always 1 point apart. Fushiguro wanted to surprise himself, that's why he didn't immediately started from the highest — he wonder who the top student could be. But just basing off the top 5 to 3, he's pretty confident he could beat them off the position.
Then.
First place:
1. [ ] Mikamo - 98. 49%
Fushiguro's eyes widened in shock. Taken back by that revelation. Now he's reluctant if he should be even competing with anyone or not.

Extra info!!
• Mikamo (美甘) surname in Japanese means Beautiful and sweet in kanji. I think? I forgot the other surname I found that means good humored or compassionate so this is the one I stick too. Since Megumi said he likes people who's compassionate and kind.
• If you watched season 1 or read the manga, you know his type is someone who he views as a good person (like Tsumiki or Itadori), hence why the surname and personality of our yn is based off.
• Yes, WE (y/n) is a childhood friend of Sukuna, Uraume & Choso. I'm sticking to brothers au of Yuuji and Sukuna
• adding "-chan" when addressing someone is used when speaking to a woman or someone whom the speaker found adorable, in some cases, it's also used to address a man
• The reason why Megumi struggled with Kanji — is based off an extra from jjk manga where them first year are tasked to write a phrase basing on how it reads in kanji and only Itadori got it correct while both Megumi and Nobara found it hard.
• Also, not all Japanese people even understand Kanji, it's not their everyday way of writing.
• In Japan, ridding a bicycle with someone is seen as romantic so when Megumi offered to ride the bicycle it would sounded almost like a confession.
• Middle school uniform or other formal wear worn in Japan when taking an entrance exam for highschool, mostly students just wear their middle school uniform.
a/n : it's finally finished! This has been sitting on my drafts since December 31st. I plan to finish this before the end of January. But here we are... This is short and cringe... Comments and feedbacks are very appreciated. This ain't proofread. None of it!! This is my first time like actually writing a 1k+ (Is this even 1k+ words?) words and posting it, lol. This is not so Japanese accurate but I'm trying to be(・ัω・ั) EDIT: I edited the ending a bit, I just realized the actual ending wasn't saved and I posted it without any edit.
I dislike Yutamaki because I find them boring.
You dislike Yutamaki because you have subconsciously misogynistic views and are unable to see masc presenting women like Maki as motherly or desirable to men.
We are not the same.
(The prevalence of masc women always being headcanoned as lesbians also has some root in misogyny. If you can see only see them with a woman but not a man (when they canonically like men), it’s because you subconsciously see masc women (especially masc lesbians) as “the man” in their relationship.)
I do get what you’re saying (I find them boring too bless 😭) but I think for this point to work there would have to be significant butch woman representation in the first place, and there simply isn’t. (There’s barely woman representation period, all we get is 500 shades of barbie; mom barbie, cop barbie, dr barbie, apocalypse barbie, full make up full blow out etc)
And here’s the kicker, when you do analyse “butch” women in mainstream media (as in media that’s not specifically sapphic), most butch women ARE set up with men; exactly to make the point that “just because she looks and acts *like that* doesn’t mean a man can’t have her”, unless they’re playing that butch character as a gay joke… I think butch and more masculine lesbians have too many experiences of NEARLY having representation, only for the art to be like, nope this one is not for you either 🌚 We got Korrasami and CaitVi and… I doubt I’d need my other hand to list them.
“Looking gay” is actually a very big part of the gay experience, so many queer kids forged their internal strength on the determination it takes to be visibly gay. On the other hand someone like Nobara may not try to look gay but her “I think men are bugs” vibe makes her super lesbian coded 😂
Again, not dismissing Bi Maki, or YutaMaki (not invalid, just not interesting), but it’s sad over here in butch land, there’s no rep at all, and when we fight for some rep we’re called naughty for forgetting that *anyone* can find a man hot.
