Anyone ever think about the fact that Claire is pretty much the only person on the island that Kate regularly speaks to who never talks to Kate about Jack and Sawyer? Anyone ever consider that this is because Claire sees Kate as an individual who makes her own choices, not as an extension of Jack and Sawyer's desires and plans? Ever consider that this is emphasized by the fact that the first time Kate and Claire talk, Claire talks about her observations about KATE's personality traits (Gemini, restless, passionate)?

And while we're here, Kate doesn't talk to Claire about Charlie either. Charlie and Kate talk about CLAIRE, but Claire and Kate never talk about guys together. Because they don't care about guys when they're together. Because they love each other for exactly who they are.

The writers might have made Kate's story about Jack and Sawyer and Claire's story about Charlie, but Kate and Claire never see each other's stories as revolving around male love interests.

something about Juliet being styled very maturely throughout a lot of season 3 and in her flashbacks - like to the point that a lot of her clothing looks more suited to a typical 50 something than the early 30s that she is. And then the longer she’s in the show and further away from the others she gets her fabrics get less restrictive and she starts dressing a little younger and freer and her hair looks a little sun bleached and this partly acclimates her more to the oceanic 815 group but also makes her look in many ways a little bit more like an “islander.” something about that yeah…
