Actually birds of paradise are some of the laziest birds ever. Because of a lack of predators they have devolved their defensive measures and instincts. So because of that they just evolved pretty feathers and voices to help with matting. And it’s not that difficult for them to find food, literally all they care about is sex and looks. These birds are shallow and useless in a fight. Just remember that even though you may not look like a magasine Star you can probably take them in a fight and for sure you would have a better chance in the wild. Bright, colorful birds get eaten, the dark camouflage ones to not.
