Crime and (unfortunate) Culprit
Slight redesign for Alethea!
New design notes:
◇ More masculine/gender non-conforming
◇ Hands are permanently stained black
◇ Front incisors are more prominent
◇ Long labcoat (to hide their secrets)
◇ More visual differences between 'human' and 'demon' form
◇ Hair is messier (not in health code regulations)
Alethea still has the same sadistic personality.
They're still just as awful as before!
Zhanna Yurasova, simply known as Zana, is an odd individual. She doesn't like talking to others much. Other than the occasional word or two, she's almost nonverbal. There's not anything physically wrong with her. The root of her speech predicament can be traced back to her time in Pijha's realm during the Seven Day War.
The Seven Day War took place over three thousand years ago. Vernin, one of Pijha's children and the god of knowledge and mischief, was angry that his half-sister was receiving more attention and praise from Pijha. Vernin believed himself to be better than her and that he deserved more. He tried to have her killed and sparked a war between the gods. Some were on Vernin's side, and some were on his sister's.
Pijha, upset that his children were fighting, sent away all creatures in the godly realm. Except one. A human hybrid known for her strategic approach to things and a no-nonsense attitude. Zana.
Zana was placed as the general of Pijha's army of sent to quell the infighting. She did this very well. So well, in fact, that Vernin had to resort to his fail-safe. He consumed the gods on his side and used their powers to banish the gods that opposed him. He, in turn, was stripped of his powers and sent to the human world. Pijha has used a large potion of his energy doing this and fell into a deep slumber.
Zana refused to leave Pijha's side for quite some time after this. She spent three thousand years protecting Pijha while he slept. In his sleep, Pijha accidentally sent Zana to the human world.
Now, she lives in SummerFolk Hills as their quiet but well-mannered librarian.
Welcome to Ariddity Melina!
Bette is one of Alethea's successful experiments.
She's incredibly quiet and mainly keeps to herself. When not being forced to go through tests and experiments by Alethea, they are most often sitting alone and quiet. The freedom she's granted by Alethea is held over her head as a manipulation tactic to make her complacent and docile.
Although almost completely mute, she does speak a little. Her brain has been pulled apart and put back together so some of her nervous system has been fried. Due to this, she has trouble doing basic math and remembering most things. Alethea also uses this as a way to keep her reliant on them.
Whenever Alethea has guests over, Bette is either forced into her room or used as a centerpiece and a subject of discussion. She hates being the center of attention and having all eyes on her puts immense strain on her mental health.
Alethea Daishin, commonly just called Dr.Daishin, is feared as much as they are respected. A well known doctor who can help just about anyone who walks through their clinic door, for a price of course. Most of their patients only have good reviews for their clinic, Brightchester Medical Center. Although there are a few who say that the good doctor is a sadistic monster... These rumors are few and far between but those who do believe them have had first hand experience with Dr.Daishin.
Many people living in Brightchester have known Alethea all of their lives and some are noticing the lack of change in their features.
On their own, Alethea puts up a mask of gentle compassion for their patients and nurturing love for their staff. Just behind this facade is a cold, brutal, and emotionless beast. They experiment with every one of their patients without their consent and frequently desecrate the dead for their own gain. Many of the "monsters" that roam the forests around Brightchester are experiments that they have deemed failures. What beings they do feel are successful are sold on the black market.
The company known around the world as 'Anigirls Inc' actually was founded by Alethea and sold to multiple different scientists as a research project. The mutant abominations sold there are genetically altered to be "perfect for those who need a little fun in their life". The creatures deemed failures are recycled for parts.
Alethea has fought Vix multiple times. Every chance encounter they have is always violent and normally leads to Alethea wobbling back their clinic to patch themself back up. Although Vix despises Alethea for their actions and the god complex they tote around, Alethea has grown obsession with Vix.
Introducing Phoebe!
They take the role of the main protagonist in Hell of a Time!
Phoebe is a quiet person. They don’t like interacting with others and actively avoid it when they can. It helps that they have a pretty intimidating RBF and their pretty tall. Most people avoid them because they come off as rude and disinterested.
In the beginning of HOAT, they move from Japan back to Tennessee to see their ill grandmother. Phoebe and Margret (their grandmother) were incredibly close and Phoebe wanted to be with her in her final days. This is when she meets Vix. Their grandmother had made a deal with Vix in the forties and, needing a new host, Vix offered Phoebe a deal.
The story follows Phoebe and their journey to self love and finally understanding themself.
