"The Pageant Wave," 13 of 13 So, a pandemic virus got in the way, but as promised, this final image will help explain the premise of the next Psychic Karate book. Before I started out with these books, I had a great idea for a short story about a graphic artist who had his or her drawing hand amputated. The resulting left-handed artwork would come out all wrong and reflect dark, hidden trauma within the artist, mutating the art into a dangerous weapon. Well, last July, the idea crawled out of my mind's attic and presented itself to me in shocking clarity, capping off the third and final "contemporary" Psychic Karate book! Just one snag. Do do the thing honest justice, I would have to do all the internal art of the book with my left hand. It's been a PROCESS, let me tell you. And adding insult to injury, it's the longest, most heavily-illustrated book so far. Damn! Well, while a premise is rarely unique, the end product will demonstate something very special about the nature of art, the importance of expression over skill, and, hopefully, an extremely twisted horror novel. Still going back and forth on a release date, so by the end of May, I'll settle on a time (thinking July?) and reveal the cover, the title and the actual plot.
