Character meme from twtter!
aemondâs vhagar was NOT visenyaâs, baelonâs nor laenaâs vhagar
right right ! i refuse to believe this is meant to be #my vhagar yall are lying to me ⌠like no way my mothers laena and visenya was riding that
I love Daemon, but why would he betrays his family and Rhaenyra? (not talking about cheating or whatever) he was just chilling in the middle of the war and abandoned them?đ
my man daemon literally helaenaed himself to get rid of vhagar who was the biggest threat for rhaenyra's rule, daemon could've left with #her ( im not talk about nyra .... ) but he didn't even after feeling betrayed that nyra doesn't trust him he goes down by taking down her biggest threat.
have you ever tried to write something in ao3 before?
trust me if i ever learned how to write, that visenya tag would look absolutely bonkers like george would have absolutely nothing on me
Hi!! Quick question, do you think Daemon just died for his petty ass ego? Like taking out Vhagar would make him an historical hero,I would just hate that half cook reason,so meaningless.
hiiiiii <3
âover the centuries, house targaryen has produced both great men and monsters. prince daemon was both. he was made of light and darkness in equal parts. to some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villains.â i don't think daemon just died for his petty ass ego, it's actually fucking insane how GRRM was, VERY clearly, like "daemon is a anti-hero who was loved and hated equally"
he wasnât introduced as âto some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villainsâ for nothing
GRRM really went and put his entire body and soul into creating Daenerys Targaryen, his best of all. There is literally no other character like her. I don't care who your fave is, they will never be as iconic as Daenerys.
?!????????!?!
Accordingly, [Jaehaerys] set out plans for a series of drains and sewers, to carry the city's offal and nightsoil under the streets to the river.
Septon Barth drew the king's attention to an even more urgent problem: King's Landing's drinking water was fit only for horses and swine, in the opinion of many. The river water was muddy, and the king's new sewers would soon make it worse; the waters of Blackwater Bay were brackish at the best of times, and salty at the worst. Whilst the king and his court and the city's highborn drank ale and mead and wine, these foul waters were oft the only choice for the poor. To address the problem, Barth proposed sinking wells, [...] A series of glazed clay pipes and tunnels would carry the fresh water into the city, where it would be stored in four huge cisterns and made available to the smallfolk [...]
Barth's scheme was costly, beyond a doubt, and Rego Draz and King Jaehaerys balked at the expense...until Queen Alysanne served each of them a tankard of river water at the next council meeting, and dared them to drink it. The water went undrunk, but the wells and pipes were soon approved. (Jaehaerys and AlysanneâTheir Triumphs and Tragedies, Fire and Blood)
This reminds you of Sansa?
Alysanne Targaryen, the youngest child of King Aenys and Queen Alyssa, had been little known amongst the lords and ladies of the realm before then. Her childhood had been spent in the shadow of her brothers and her elder sister, Rhaena, and when she was spoken of at all it was as âthe little maidâ and âthe other daughter.â She was little, this was true; slim and slight of frame, Alysanne was oft described as pretty but seldom as beautiful, though she was born of a house renowned for beauty. Her eyes were blue rather than purple, her hair a mass of honey-colored curls. No man ever questioned her wits. (The Year of the Three Bridesâ49 AC, Fire and Blood)
...does it really?
The Targaryens had been marrying brother to sister for centuries, of course, and Jaehaerys and Alysanne had grown up expecting to wed, just as their elder siblings Aegon and Rhaena had. Moreover, Alysanne was only two years younger than her brother, and the two children had always been close and strong in their affection and regard for one another. (The Year of the Three Bridesâ49 AC, Fire and Blood)
...
Alysanne was stubborn and persistent and she had a way of bringing the king around to her own point of view, no matter how far apart they had been at the start. (The Long ReignâJaehaerys and Alysanne: Policy, Progeny, and Pain, Fire and Blood)
--
Manderly also staged a small tourney in the queenâs honor, to show the prowess of his knights. One of the fighters (though no knight) was revealed to be a woman, a wildling girl who had been captured by rangers north of the Wall and given to one of Lord Manderlyâs household knights to foster. Delighted by the girlâs daring, Alysanne summoned her own sworn shield, Jonquil Darke, and the wildling and the Scarlet Shadow dueled spear against sword whilst the northmen roared in approval. (Jaehaerys and AlysanneâTheir Triumphs and Tragedies, Fire and Blood)
--
âA ruler needs a good head and a true heart,â she famously told the king. âA cock is not essential. If Your Grace truly believes that women lack the wit to rule, plainly you have no further need of me.â And thus Queen Alysanne departed Kingâs Landing and flew to Dragonstone on her dragon Silverwing. She and King Jaehaerys remained apart for two years, the period of estrangement recorded in the histories as the Second Quarrel. (Heirs of the DragonâA Question of Succession, Fire and Blood)
Alysanne was the queen, consort, and sister of King Jaehaerys I, the Old King, and like him she lived a long life. Tall and straight, unbowed by time, she had high cheekbones, clear blue eyes. [âŚ] Her relationship with King Jaehaerys was always very close. She was his most trusted counselor and his right hand, and often wore a slimmer, more feminine version of his crown at court. Beloved by the common people of Westeros, she loved them in return, and was renowned for her charities.
Sansa was the queen, consort, and cousin of King Jon I, the White Wolf, and like him she lived a long life.  Tall and straight, she had high cheekbones, clear blue eyes. [âŚ] Her relationship with King Jon was always very close. She was his most trusted counselor and his right hand, and often wore a cloak similar to his at court. Beloved by the common people of the North, she loved them in return, and was renowned for her charities.
keep alysanneâs name out of your mouths freaks
Ah I see. You think itâs okay to add your shitty takes with overused memes on someone elseâs artwork. Vaguepost about it like an adult would you
Why donât they send their complaints to the illustrator of Fire and Blood? He must be a freak too ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ

Wwwwwwhat is this lmao?
Jon and Sansa were not always close. Jonsas literally hinge them getting together on not being as close when they were younger?
Anyway, the closest siblings were Jon and Arya.
Jon grinned, reached over, and messed up her hair. Arya flushed. They had always been close. (Arya I, AGoT)
â
He missed the girls too, even Sansa, who never called him anything but âmy half brotherâ since she was old enough to understand what bastard meant. And AryaâŚhe missed her even more than Robb, skinny little thing that she was, all scraped knees and tangled hair and torn clothes, so fierce and willful. Arya never seemed to fit, no more than he hadâŚyet she could always make Jon smile. He would give anything to be with her now, to muss up her hair once more and watch her make a face, to hear her finish a sentence with him. (Jon III, AGoT)
Who was it again who asked if she could be a kingâs councillor? Letâs see.
Arya cocked her head to one side. âCan I be a kingâs councillor and build castles and become the High Septon?â (Eddard V, AGoT)
Who was it who could make friends with anybody? Letâs see.
Sansa knew all about the sorts of people Arya liked to talk to: squires and grooms and serving girls, old men and naked children, rough-spoken freeriders of uncertain birth. Arya would make friends with anybody. This Mycah was the worst; a butcherâs boy, thirteen and wild, he slept in the meat wagon and smelled of the slaughtering block. Just the sight of him was enough to make Sansa feel sick, but Arya seemed to prefer his company to hers. (Sansa I, AGoT)
Iâve already made a post about Jon and Arya and Jaehaerys and Alysanne, where I didnât have to diverge from the source material to make parallels. âĽď¸âĽď¸
makes me so sad like there are layers to this rhaenys riding against her daughterâs dragon, daemon preparing to kill that of his wife and father, baelonâs dragon bringing down alyssaâs, vhagar and caraxes killing each other when no brothers were closer than the sons of jaehaerys-
DAENERYS TARGARYEN APPRECIATION MONTH 2022Â
âł Day 30: Mother of DragonsÂ
I am the blood of the dragon, she thought. If they are monsters, so am I.Â
âŚÂ
âThey are dragons, Quentyn.â Dany stood on her toes and kissed him lightly, once on each cheek. âAnd so am I.âÂ
âŚÂ
Black blood was flowing from the wound where the spear had pierced him, smoking where it dripped onto the scorched sands. He is fire made flesh, she thought, and so am I.

itâs a shame rhaenys never saw maegor because i know she would be laughing with tears in her eyes at the fact that visenya made the worldâs largest and angriest babyđ infant maegor has a perpetual đ look on his face
daenerys looking up to the conquerors and telling herself if she found her own visenya and rhaenys she wouldnât be alone anymore is actually one of the saddest passages in her chapters
reading about historical targaryens that shared these close bonds with their family members makes me really sad because dany never had that. yet the entire legacy of their house is on her shoulders. âwith viserys gone, daenerys was the last, the very last. she must not forget.â
visenya, the woman with the most amount of agency possible in westeros, the woman whose legacy transcended motherhood, who was confined by marriage but due to her sister being their husband's favourite not caged by it, the woman who outlasted her siblings and whose dragon outlasted theirs, who never cared about any of it but was in it only for herself and the few she loved... that woman... yeah...

visenyas spirit possessed jace for a second and called vhagar âthe old hoary bitchâ
the argument that visenya wouldâve loved aemond bc she was a âusurperâ is so funny bc what she always prioritized was the strength of her house. she founded the kingsguard, gave aenys the best advice, even offered to the dirty job. greens are the reason targs lost their power. visenya didnât put maegor on the throne for funsies, she wanted her house to remain strong and powerful and only somebody like maegor couldâve dealt with westerosi bullshit which he did. by the end of his reign jaehaerys completely gave up into whatever maesters were whispering in his ears, he literally made otto his hand and look where we are now ...............
