Some headcanons of mine that are basically canon to me or I just really like:

At no point in the game does Aline ever learn about Maelle and that her daughter got Painted over and has no memory of her life.

Aline has no influence over the people of Lumiere. Like, she didn't even recognize her own daughter and the son she Painted, she ain't controlling shit.

The Gestrals and the Grandis know about the Canvas and that they're Painted but since this is just common knowledge it gets never brought up. Like imagine you're talking to a random stranger and suddenly start with "so anyway, do you know about atoms?"

Soulchild!Verso has no idea who Alicia is. He got split off from the real Verso as a child before Alicia was born and when you talk to him he can barely even remember who Clea and Renoir are.

The time difference between the real world and the Canvas is about a day/a year

While pAlicia's injuries look horrific, the pain is actually quite managable. That is because, for all her realism, Aline couldn't possibly fathom the pain her daughter is in.

Because burn injuries of that calibre are no joke and bring a lot of health risks with them, Alicia dies either when she's 33 or 25, for ironies sake.

Maelle died at the end of act 2 and act 3 Maelle is just Alicia desperately clinging to those memories.

Maelle/Alicia is 1,45 m small and since she's already 16 she ain't growing any taller.

Simon does not exist in the real world and that he and pClea fell in love is a complete coincidence.

No one Painted the Mimes. They just sorta appeared and the Dessendre are either not touching this with a 10ft pole or just assume someone else Painted them.

Trying to doodle a little on the lil note pad I keep on my desk. I keep wanting to try and draw this cute lil Esquie idea I mentioned ages ago.

Its just a lil headcanon but I like to think Esquie sometimes picks up characters and holds them like a kid does a plushie. Usually if they need cheering up. His logic being "Well Verso did this with me. So I'll do this for Verso"

Verso is used to it so he's just limp like a kitten. I may not be able to draw humans but I can sure draw silly lil chibis.

I like to think Esquie tried to scoop up Gustave while they're traveling through Stone Wave Cliffs or somewhere earlier in Act 1 and he's just squirrely and not wanting to be picked up. But he'd at least tell Esquie he appreciates the thought. Given how squirrely Gustave is around Nevrons and Gestrals I just imagine him a lil nervous around Esquie. Not scared mind you just nervous, especially after seeing him defeat that giant Bourgeon

Sciel would be cool with it. Maelle too. I think Lune would let him do this once then just say "okay that's enough of that". Monoco wouldn't move if scooped but he'd probably just be saying the word "biting" "Bite" a few times since he can't physically bite anything.
