i think i agree with some other post i've seen a while ago about creating headmates (unfortunately, i have no idea from who it is anymore). create one per time. give them time to develop a bit. i believe we started creating a few at once, but after that disaster and being overwhelmed a lot of the time, we figured it's better to let one person fully develop with minimal stress for us. i know it's tempting to go all out and create all the headmates you want at once, but i promise it's better to go one by one.

How do you figure out everyone's names?

source name, name they came with, or name that comes from id packs here on tumblr or these baby name websites.

to give a few examples:

kat: just used his source name. (katsuki, shorten it to kat. voila)

lamb: just its source name.

sylvia: wanted something that feels magical and the such, so searched on baby name websites & id packs.

spots: wanted a very simple, yet cute-ish name. i believe it came from some id pack, but could also have come from the fact that he's a deer + sheep hybrid, a fallow deer to be exact. so he has spots. which could also be the source of his name.

valor: it literally came with that name. not a source name since howl isn't sourced, so literally came with that name.

we do. though we have a few ones! the one we use the most is BUDS! we chose it as an abbreviation of " beastly underling dragonshifters ". we chose it because we all collectively love dragons, + quite a few of us are dragons.
