lads rant, feel free to ignore

I don't think I've seen a game develop the gotboringitis disease nearly as quickly as lads did and I fear it may be terminal

like i hate to say it over again since my account is dedicated to lads after all but I keep seeing people complain about how they just log in to do dailies and that's it and yeah.. it's bad... I've played plenty of gacha games and can tell when players are complaining for no reason/are creating problems for themselves (like speed running content, not paying attention to story etc) vs when the game is just killing itself and unfortunately lads is the latter

like aside from the clear issue of them never updating the main story, they have one shitty boring ass event per banner and pray that keeps everyone busy but the event stories are repetitive and most people don't even care for them anymore. it's always just 'energy fluctuations in deepspace tunnel made things weird!' and/or 'offline event happening!' and it's just lazy now

not to mention how actually absurd it is to allow supposed endgame content to become redundant??? abyssal chaos should NOT be allowed to just become useless at some point!!!! maybe it's just me but I actually enjoyed playing the two fucking stories we have with all the lis and working through the routes and it just makes no sense to me that there are only the find tobias and final farewell stories, it feels like something they should update every so often instead of allowing it to fall into irrelevance (especially since the stories are due to mc being commissioned - is she just not getting work anymore all of a sudden??/s)

they've also gone inexcusably long without adding anecdotes and bonds for the lis, particularly caleb and sylus. and it feels like they're neglecting the photo booth too, new outfits are almost always paywalled along with poses. and then they're refusing to add to the chocolate shop for some reason too.

it feels like the content is THERE but it was all put in the game when they cared which they don't anymore so nothing is being done with any of it. every aspect of the game feels like a cash grab and like yeah they're a company so they want to make money but when you're making a game you have to make the game actually good to make that money. it feels like the reason no new content is being added aside from banners is to put pressure on players to spend money since there are practically no dia/pull farming methods in the game but with new memories dropping as frequently as they do with no roadmap or warning of any sort they make players feel fomo and forced to pull (which you really don't have to.. please...).

none of this is sustainable and it's so frustrating to see because it started so well and the foundations are so good but as per usual greed is its downfall. it's a gacha game so I admittedly should have seen this coming but that doesn't make this any easier to watch

When I joined the game in October of last year, I honestly was a little spoiled. Sylus had dropped in August, Zayne’s story branch had dropped, Rafayel’s story branch dropped shortly after I joined in November, then Xavier’s in December, then Caleb was reintroduced as a love interest in January.

So from what I was seeing, we were getting new story content more or less once a month or once every other month. Plus, with different events, world underneaths, anecdotes, bonds, the amazing abyssal chaos commissions (honestly one of my favorite parts of the side content in game!) I felt like there was always something new to do.

Then we went through the content draught from January to May I figured it was a one time fluke.

It is now December, with no new main story updates. No new abyssal chaos, Sylus and Caleb’s bond and anecdotes are still missing, the pull rates are atrocious, and we have had no forward movement in the story.

I agree. I’m bored. I log in three times a day to do my dailies in 5 minutes then grab stamina twice after that. Now of course there’s bound to be a time when someone’s who’s been playing for a while will run out of things to do, but it becomes an issue when the game isn’t updating consistently.

The banners are fun. But in my humble opinion, the last “amazing” banner we had was Tomorrow’s Catch 22. Since then the banners have become “same-y” if that makes any sense. There was so much creativity and thought, and while TC22 is inherently flawed for many reasons it still felt like something NEW and intentional. Spring and Flowers was sweet and had good foreshadowing, but that’s it. You and Midsummer was cute. The Idol Banner was fun. But honestly that’s all they are.

To repeat someone else’s tags, we’re either going to see a renaissance or the final nail in the coffin come the second anniversary.

And that’s not even including my thoughts on the potential sixth love interest. If he doesn’t drop immediately after Caleb’s third myth I don’t think Infold ever plans to drop him. But I suppose that’s another rant for another day 🤷‍♀️

Starfish would be so funny for a variety of reasons but a big one is how jealous xavier would get about rafayel. All his fans aside, have you read rafayel's side content?? Fish boy elicits so many oddly devotional emotions in the hearts of other men. He had a STEM major creating art out of bacteria samples for his eyes only, talking about the colors reminded me of you.
