“Ichinomiya!” I see the glint of the gun before hearing the man’s scream
“Eisuke!” I can hear Soryu’s warning shout, I faintly feel Eisuke trying to grab my hand, but my body is faster, I don’t even think about it, but when I realize I’m already between a gun and the man I love. There’s a loud sound and immediately I feel a sharp pain in my chest, I lost my balance. My mind is partially blank, I… just got shot right? I don’t feel the pain of clashing on the ground, I wonder why?
“_______!” Ah… Eisuke is calling me… is he alright? I hope so “Please hang in there! Soryu! Call luke immediately!” My eyes focus and I see his gorgeous face close to mine, he is scowling, is he mad? I’m sleepy, I can feel my eyes closing “_______! Don’t close your eyes! Please stay awake! Don’t go” I… won’t go anywhere…. I just want to… sleep
“Wake up! _______!” her eyes were closed, he could hear the ruckus as the dragons and security grab the man that had shot them, but that didn’t mean anything to him at that moment, only she existed but that could change any minute and he knew that; he had to stop the bleeding until Luke arrived, in the back of his mind, he already was planning to have a word with the security chief, how could they missed a person with a gun? but that would be after, he had priorities… “Hey you can’t give up you hear me? you can’t die, I won’t let you die! you have to marry me and be happy by my side damn it!” his voice full of emotion sounded in the middle of the hotel lobby, she was getting paler by the second, ‘if Luke doesn’t arrive soon then…’ As if invoked, the British doctor arrived with a stretcher
“put her there carefully” Eisuke did as instructed “now keep pressing the wound until we get to the surgery room” ‘please _____, don’t you dare die on me’ it was what the king thought all the way to Luke’s emergency room.
Eisuke was absolutely furious, his heart was thumping loudly, feeling the adrenaline through his veins, as soon as Luke started to operate on her, he went with Soryu to “interrogate” the man who had shot them, he was just a nobody who wanted to try to eliminate him, he wouldn’t get away with it. Nobody touched what belongs to him, especially not his precious fincée, and so the poor man understood that after being psychologically tortured and sold in the next auction.
It took a lot of hours to Luke to get the bullet out, it was a serious problem that it was too close to the heart for comfort, luckily, or for some kind of miracle, it didn’t touch the lungs, but that could change, it was a really delicate zone so if he didn’t want to lose such precious sexy bones and Eisuke’s fiancée he needed to be really careful.
When he finally finished and got outside the E.R Eisuke was there standing with Baba and Ota by his side as Mamoru and Soryu were still arranging the security situation. The king wasn’t able to sit, he wasn’t able to do anything else… except doing the necessary calling and paperwork to sell the responsible man as soon as possible. He saw Luke right in the eye, anxiously glaring
”How is ______?” Baba worriedly asked, with Ota anxiously adding
”Is she still alive?” The doctor saw his old friend right in the eye, because of his fatigue not acknowledging their questions, Eisuke glance him back, the air felt heavy
“So?” There was a little moment before he asked when he felt a twinge of fear, not that he would ever admit it, not even to himself, but he didn’t want to lose her, she was the woman he chose, he couldn’t lose her
“It was bloody rough, there was a lot of internal and external bleeding, but she is stable for now, you should call someone to get more of her type of blood, though” Luke seemed exhausted, but Eisuke trusted him if anything happened, he would be there. As if reading his thoughts, the doctor said “I’ll be close” before supporting himself with both the artist and the thief
“Luke…. thanks” Eisuke said as he went into the room
She was pale, and a frown was in her face, ‘she is in pain’, he needed to make changes, he needed to assure that she wouldn’t be in pain in a near future, he had to protect her from anyone
“Don’t worry baby, I won’t let this happen to you ever again” Eisuke lightly kissed her forehead, he loved her, she was the one he felt comfortable the most, the only woman who sincerely cared for him and his happiness, the only woman both brave and stupid enough as to put herself in front of a bullet for him, how could he not be worried about her? he hide his feelings with a smirk “Just wake up fast so I can show your body all the ways I love you”
Eisuke tried to go to his beloved ________’s room in all his free moments, even if his little world of happiness stop spinning, it didn’t mean that the real world stop as well, in fact, he had lots of work to do, and as he couldn’t do anything by her side but wait, he decided that if he wanted the means necessary to protect her, might as well start now. It was 2 weeks later when Luke received him with the notice that his beloved was awake
“Eisuke… you are alright” it was the first thing she said as soon as he entered the roon she was resting in
“You… idiot” was his answer as he walked towards her bed, when he was close enough he hugged her as hard as he could without hurting her “what were you thinking?” even if his tone of voice was harsh his actions, his hand caressing her hair were sweet
“I wasn’t “ she said honestly and with a little smirk on her lips noticing the difference between his actions and his words “Sorry”
“You better be… and you better be prepared to pay the consequences as soon as you are alright to move” he looked at her with a sexy grin and she blushed, the king thought that that was the way he wanted to see his queen, not pale and in the verge of dying, but blushing and happy
“I love you Eisuke” she whispered as she took his hands and kissed them, Eisuke inwardly blushed
“I love you too baby, and I can’t wait to show you just how much”
Needless to say that the same day she was discharged with Luke’s permission, Eisuke took the day off to love her all day and night long.
this story is heavily inspired by the season 4 his POV, midnight secrets and waiting for Eisuke all good stories I highly recomend them
sorry for being slow in the writing part, I just received my computer back yesterday and my had is still getting better, I still have one request to do, expect it next week :)
