We’re about halfway to our goal to see it come to life with our original vision. . . . @vonniekyle and I were roommates 7 years ago. She used to serenade me when I was in the bathtub and she ate nothing but sweet Martha’s cookies and candy. As a thought experiment she started singing these little songs, about our dog, the cat, and I LOVED them. Several years later she is still one of my very best friends. I’ve seen her grow and become an even stronger musician, person, and a driven and dedicated artist. She now eats Chile cheeseburgers in addition to cookies and candy. . . . A couple of years ago we hit on actually recording some of these songs. We thought it would be cool to re-envision the vinyl+picture book I had when I was a kid, and the duckduck project was born. . . . This project deviates from my normal collection of monsters, and instead focuses on the sweet creatures that walk our earth with us. It’s been fun to listen to the songs vonnie has crafted, and create an image based on the feeling and the lyrics.
