-almost killing a weird purple dude with a weird geometric object, letting him go only for him to get killed by the government an instant later, and then being like āwell I donāt want the GOVERNMENT to have whatever that isā and stealing it back on a whim. and then just. carrying around a powerful magical relic of unknown significance. for months. just jangling around in their bags and occasionally being whipped out for a once-a-day reroll. this thing started a WAR and then disappeared from under the noses of TWO NATIONS and these random adventuring chucklefucks had it the whole time
-appearing for an audience before a queen of a foreign land wearing BDSM gear and whipping out one of their lost religious relics
-The Wildmother loving her weird pink son enough to give him THREE successful divine interventions
-relentlessly attempting to become best friends with a war criminal even after learning that he started a war
-accidentally stealing a pirate ship. not ~accidentally stealing~, actually on accident stealing a pirate ship with no intentions to do so prior to stealing the pirate ship. and then going āI guess weāre pirates now.ā
-Fjord flipping off a sea god and destroying his weird sea sword and then refusing or forgetting to get rid of the weird sea orb inside him and then going out to sea after he pissed off the sea god. multiple times.
-Yasha cannot make a wisdom saving throw to save her life her free will and it changed the course of the story. multiple times.
-negotiating peace between warring nations, and then dipping out to go organize and attend a cult convention
-going to their first ever big city and being like āwhat do we do now? crime? is crime what we do now? crime?ā and committing treason and conspiring to murder a city official and joining a crime syndicate led by a wet dude who later turned out to be Jesterās dad

Because, god knows when it rains it pours, thereās yet another horrible internet bill on the table, and it is a doozy!Ā
Itās called the Kids Online Safety Act and itās basically designed to force internet companies to mandate ID for website logins, destroy websites with any hint of a kid looking at things they arenāt supposed to (With an extremely broad definition of āwhat they arenāt supposed toā), force companies to send dataĀ āfor studyā to the government (IE, spy on kids) force them to use an age-verification system that will likely include mandatory government ID checks, and put on mandatory parental controls cranked up to high by default for parents to spy on their kids!
Now, this is a nightmare for several reasons. The mandated ID checks are horrifying and intrusive violation of privacy for adults and the young alike, in a way that screws over queer sex workers especially, and the increased liability for websites will lead to truly biblical purges of NSFW content, but thereās another big one:
This bill will lead to kids getting abused and killed.
Like, imagine that parental spying being used on queer or mentally ill teens. Imagine the definition of ānot okay for minorsā being expanded by, like say, the transphobic push in Texas or Floridaās Donāt Say Gay bill. You see where this goes.

At the entrance to the Kiev Memorial Park there is a sculpture of a very thin girl with an extremely sad look holding several classes of wheat in her hands. Behind her back is the Candle of Remembrance, a monument with details reminiscent of authentic embroidery that can be found on traditional Ukrainian costumes. This is a monument that marks the historical event known as Holodomor (Hladomor). But what is Holodomor and what crime does this monument even symbolize?
At the end of World War I Ukraine was an independent state, but it was governed by the Soviet Union in 1919 "sucked" into the community of Soviet states. Ukrainians, who then considered themselves a Central European nation like Poland, not an Eastern European like the Russians, were trying to restore Ukraine's independence.
Not wanting to lose control of Europe's main grain, Stalin in 1932 resorted to one of the most heinous forms of terror against a nation. In the process of nationalization, he took the grainy land from Ukrainian peasants, and all its yields, creating artificial hunger. The goal was to "teach Ukrainians" so that they would no longer oppose official Moscow. Thus, the nation that produced the most wheat in Europe was left without a crumb of bread. The peak of the Holodomor was in the spring of 1933. In Ukraine, 17 people starved to death every minute, over 1000 every hour, and almost 24500 every day! People were literally starving to death on the streets.
In the emptied Ukrainian villages Stalin settled the Russian population.
During the next census, there was a large population shortage.
Therefore, the Soviet government abolished the census, destroyed the census documentation, and the censusers were shot or sent to gulag, to completely hide the truth.
It was Holodomor during 1932-1933 hunger killed between seven and ten million people, more than Jews in World War II. Their toxic gas was hunger. Their Hitler was Stalin. Their holocaust was Gladomor. For them fascist Berlin was Soviet Moscow, and their concentration camp was the Soviet Union. Today, 28 countries of the world classify the Holodomor as a genocide, and you could not teach about it in school because almost all evidence has been destroyed, and the victim was silenced for decades and had no say until recently.
The Holodomor may have temporarily broken the Ukrainian resistance, but it made the desire for Ukraine's independence from Russia eternal.
š¼ THIS is why the Ukrainians are fighting so furiously against Putinās Russian Invasion. Those who ignore the history of Ukrainian Holodomor are condemned to repeat it.

I have seen genuine confusion about this in the past (largely from ppl more used to other sites that donāt have a reblog system) thatās the only reason Iām adding the explanation
I identify as an FTM, non-hormone, non-op, transsexual heterosexual man. Thatās the whole string of it. I was in the lesbian community when I was younger, but I never really fit. That was the 1970s and there really wasnāt the language then about transmen or FTMs or any of that. I didnāt have that accessible to me as an identity. I thought, āIām the only one on the planet like me,ā but then in 1985, Lou Sullivan sent his little booklet through the mail to the archives I was working on. It was āInformation for the Female-to-male Crossdresser and Transsexual,ā a little booklet that he self-published with a little handwritten note that said, āMaybe some people in your archive would want to read this.ā Even though he didnāt know me, he didnāt know who he was sending this to, I read it. I read it and within two hours I called him and I said, āI gotta meet you, because now thereās two of us, you know, on the planet.ā And I flew to San Francisco to meet him.
When I got there, I dressed up super masculine. I even wore temporary facial hair, because I wanted to demonstrate to him that I was a man. So, he opens the door and he is this little frail ninety-eight pound gay guy with a t-shirt on and I thought, āWell, heās a man and heās kinda like me, but heās kinda not like me.ā We ended up talking for five hours straight in his kitchen. In the middle of it, he told me he had to get up and take his AZT. I hadnāt known that he had HIV/AIDS, but I realized then that I was making the closest friend of my entire life, the most pivotal individual for me, and that I was losing him at the same time. We corresponded until he died and when he died, I started the East Coast FTM Group because I had nobody and he had asked me to head up his group in San Francisco, which I couldnāt do.
I always felt some resistance to the fact that I didnāt transition medically, but over time I started to find transsexuals who had not transitioned medically, or who had transitioned partially and then stopped, like my friend Leslie Feinberg. Eventually I found more people with the idea that, āIām already me, I donāt need any medical intervention to become me.ā It took a ten-year journey with a gender counselor to give myself permission around this, because it is not popular, even in our community.
Iāve done a lot of organizing, much of it pre-internet. I did it the way Lou did it at first, all by mail. I remember the first big conference I went to, a True Spirit Conference, and I think there were 300 guys, FTMs, from all over the country and Canada, and I remember thinking, āItās starting. The movement for FTMs is really starting, big time.ā Now I have a vision for making the Sexual Minorities Archives a national comprehensive LGBTQ educational resource center with a museum and an art gallery with many rooms to show the collections, to have a youth room, to have a meeting room, to have a community room, and to be the preeminent LGBTQ archive on the East Coast. Thatās what Iām most looking forward to as I age and thatās what I want to accomplish before I die.
