I've left time even as it tries to eddy around me. I consider the tick of seconds, the accumulation of hours and the rise and set of the sun as a tide pulling away from me. Always such linear confines. We instead discover ourselves paddling in a feeling of pure present, stretching in every direction with each passing interaction of ours like pebbles dropped into an infinite wading pool of experience. The scent of your skin is more of a guide to where I am than the days crossed off on the calendar stuck to my fridge. The exquisite feel of your most gentle caress counts more years than any spin of our Earth. Eager lips and soft tugs of my sable hair equates to more than a happily ever after could provide. The lazy evenings, filled with soft conversation fill more important volumes than history. The shackles of the clock fail to hold this connection, we are outside of it's deliberate restraints and instead we encompass one another in spaces bigger than here; more enveloping than the infinitesimal binding of simple matter. For these matters of the heart steal science and logic and expose it to far greater forces than gravity or magnetism, paling the largest celestial masses to nothing more than sand grains. Universes swell and collapse in our mutually unwavering gaze, the fabric of your presence leaking omnipotence upon which floats this certainty like a ship lost on paradise seas where days mean nothing and the breeze of your sweet breath teases every inch of my greedy skin. Let it all quieten around us, rules shattered like ransacked cathedrals. We'll bask in the light of our union, finding warmth in our awakened feeling of mutual understanding; the limitless accretion of us that glows brighter than any star and burns longer than any light year.
