I love people who have specific characters that are their "no one understands this character like me. not even the writers." because they're genuinely not joking. the way they understand those specific characters is so profound that it'll change your entire veiw.

I love this and I obviously agree the intended meaning is that Aki is contemplating the whole country vs city mouse of it all while staring at Angel. But wouldn't it be funny if Aki was just trying to check where a vehicle is to the side and the camera man just caught him at an opportune and iconic moment?

Okay So. I am unhinged and sick for this series. The only way to fix it is to talk about it. I'm 100% about to make a video that makes this everyone's problem now. I have way too much to say and everywhere I go, I see it and I'm losing my mind over it. It is a threat that I now need to vent all this into something productive or else this will keep getting worse. Will it also be 7 hours long like the last video? Uhhhhhhhh.... Still surprised that some people don't understand that Denji equates sexual acts to intimacy initially because he's never felt the love of a parent, or even friends or family. In his mind, he can only equate getting with a girl as a way to ease the loneliness he feels underneath.

thinking about chainsaw man and denji from the perspective of being a commentary on how damaging thinking romantic love is the most important thing in the world is. how denji asks ‘everyone is after my chainsaw heart but who wants mine? who wants denji’s heart?’ and how he started to slowly find people who wanted denjis heart through aki and power and how he didn’t realize that familial and platonic love isn’t less than romantic love because the only small amount of information on love hes learned is that romantic love is the end goal and he couldn’t see that there were people who held his heart right there
I love Chainsaw Man so much, but watching this movie reminds me of the absolute sadness I felt and couldn't shake for weeks when I read the manga a couple of years ago. I won't spoil anything, but it absolutely nailed the tragedy and really pushed it to the limit of what it could be.
The Reze arc was my favourite arc in the manga, and it was perfect to adapt into a film. Since reading a few years ago about 10 chapters into part 2, I've not gone back to the manga just because I'm reminded how fucking sad it made me. And watching this beautiful film and seeing all the characters again, I'm like shit imma have to go through that all over again with the next couple seasons of the anime
All that to say, I absolutely love sad shit. I love when characters I love get hurt and go through hard situations, but nothing has ever left me feeling as empty as reading the chainsaw man manga. Do with that what you will

Love Early Chainsaw Man Really Setting Up For So Much Emotional Weight Hidden Behind Hilarious Scenes.
What do you mean the Catholic Guilt character comes out of his shell because the main character challenges him to kicking someone in the jewels over and over for causing a characters earlier death? What do you mean the main character changes people's viewpoints by obsessing over women and it's actually a theme about loneliness and longing while the women in this story kick ass? And what do you mean this is going to fuck me up later? Why is this anime and manga so good?! Ughhhh.
