i like really want to write a fic about desi toriel cause i think it could be so interesting in the context of deltarune.

toriel making food a lot for kris and susie is very very desi mom making you food, also i think it makes sense for toriel to also be poc and one of the few people who didnt immediately look at susie and assume she was a "bad kid" cause of the whole racial aspect of susie's character.

heres where i find it most interesting, it adds layers to her divorcing asgore cause she'd also have those cultural expectations to stay with him. as well as moving on with sans ect like theres layers. it kinda parallels how the some of fandom treats her actually.

also i want representation that isnt the typical strict indian mom, sue me! i want a desi mom with a queer kid (kris) who isnt like "grr i am very homophobic my they kris"

my predictions for what will happen after ralsei is eventually confirmed to be transfem in the next few chapters:

people will suddenly dig up The Baby Is You and every other thing toby ever said during the homestuck era that could be considered "problematic" and deltarune will become another "Irredeemable Media".

people will suddenly start talking about how the newest chapter probably isn't meant to be canon, and is just supposed to be an extra bonus epilogue, yknow.

people will suddenly decide that deltarune's plot actually made no sense actually, and will say ralsei being trans came from nowhere.

reddit will complain when the new chapters focus on the main characters of the game instead of the new funny meme joke theory character they collectively came up with based on like 2 peices of evidence.

people will still be theorizing about penumbra phantasm years after it was officially deconfirmed.

spamtenna will still be the most popular ship, despite neither of those characters being relevant at all since chapter 3.

someone is gonna make a post saying "dont worry guys you can still headcanon ralsei as transmasc! we are all just playing toys here, none of this actually matters!" and then say "what no you cant headcanon kris as transfem nonbinary, thats erasure!"

someone will post "yeah more trans representation is cool, but it sucks to see the GNC representation be removed" and will forget about Blue and Mettaton.

If you've seen this TikTok you know that a 2016 study showed that 50% of medical students and residents thought that black people couldn't feel pain the same as white people.

And we learned from this video that because of a 1999 study, to this day, there's a black correction factor for the creatinin levels in black people's kidneys, meaning we're less likely to recieve a kidney transplant if needed.

So if you go to a doctor, feel you aren't getting proper treatment or they refuse the treatment you've requested, say to them the following:

I will need you to document on record that you are refusing the treatment (or medicine) I've requested, and the reason you are doing so."

This works. I have used it in other situations. If medical staff have to document and take responsibility and be on the hook legally for doing shady shit they behave much differently.

If you weren’t already going to spread this advice because black women are at risk, then spread it because it’s applicable to everyone else as well, including you reading this.

do you think tavrissprite could've ever worked out

oh yea. theres a few things that needed to have happened before for them to work out, but like........ i feel if the right conditions were met they wouldn't have exploded.

key conditions to not tavrisplode.

1 tavros having enough confidence to take the reign of the sprite when vriska's spiralling.

2 vriska accepting tavroses kinda take on the world where tavros is ultimately like you don't need to be cruel to survive. similar to what she goes through in hell therapy. she doesn't need to perfect the lesson, just enough to hear tavros out.

3 tavros developing enough confidence that she's not adding that huge amount of self loathing to tavrissprite

4 vriska being okay with working with tavros, not just dragging tavros along

this one is less of an important condition but i do think it would help. tavroses egg cracking. i dont think it was a huge aspect of tavrissprites explosion that vriska was feeling dysphoric and feeling tavroses misery from the uncracked egg but i do think it was an additional thing making it harder.

i think if you want to write an au where tavrissplode doesnt happen, the easiest way is just to have vriska notice just before the explosion whats about to happen, and begrudingly decide to not hate tavros to remain alive. and then after that they can slowly go through the actual character development and meet those conditions so tavrissprite is stable.
