Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.
Eckhart Tolle (via thecalminside)
Radical Acceptance: I accept my reality as it is, not resisting or trying to change what is out of my control. Resisting leads to suffering. If I radically accept I can then do what helps, rather than hurts my current distress. Yes, this means even anxiety or depression. "There is nothing wrong with me, this is my current reality, once I accept I can find peace." What a different perspective from what is often taught in this world. Wow does it work, though!
I have certainly found this to be true in my life. Therapy is very healing. Shame is interesting... We often feel shame over things we would never imagine, things that seem so small, things that we would not automatically think of as shameful. Things that we feel embarrassed about, not good enough at, self-conscious about, things that we do and things that happen to us, things completely out of our control- apart of human nature. And in the end, we're still good, it's still ok, and others understand.

This is so true!
Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.

This is my weekend....
