There's a new American Girl doll. Courtney is from the '80s. We are, many of us, also from the '80s. It boggles the mind.
The first generation of American girls to buy historical American Girls are now historical American Girls.

I didn’t correct him 🤣🤣
Peril on Gorgon came out yesterday so obviously I'm replaying the Outer Worlds to get the full experience and work my way up to the DLC and I gotta admit, landing in Edgewater where a plague is ravaging the town and people are told to keep working and work fortifies the spirit and those who don't work hard enough are denied medicine and the profits of the corporation are put above the health of the citizens while in reality we're in the middle of a pandemic and people are forced to risk their lives and continue working and are cut off of unemployment aid and lose their health insurance if they don't and yeah, this game just hits a touch different in September 2020.

IDEA. The signs as mythical creatures/beings. 🥺💙
Apologies in advance because the nerd within me got really excited about this ask and decided to veer hard into weird supernatural shit most people have probably never heard of lmao
Anyway please don’t let this flop
Aries: Phoenix (mythological)
A regenerative bird from Greek mythology that first dies in a combustion of flame, and then is reborn again from the ash.
Taurus: Black Shuck (cryptid)
A ghostly black dog from the countryside of East Anglia. In some accounts its size is massive and it has one fiery evil eye.
Gemini: The Cadejo (mythological)
A pair of spirits from Central American folklore. They are said to appear at night to travellers, with one acting as a protector and the other as a malevolent being which lures people to make bad choices.
Cancer: Rusalka (mythological)
A female entity associated with water in Eastern Slavic folklore. Beautiful but undead spirits that would lurk near rivers or lakes and entangle and drown young men with their long red hair.
Leo: The Alkonost (mythological)
A Slavic/Russian half-bird half-woman with a spellbinding voice that enamors those that hear it to the point that they forget and abandon anything else.
Virgo: The Dullahan (supernatural)
A creature from Irish mythology, depicted as a headless rider on a black horse who holds his own head under one arm.
Libra: Cait Sidhe (mythological)
A spectral Celtic fairie creature that haunts the Scottish highlands. It appears as a large black cat with a white spot on its chest.
Scorpio: Hydra (mythological)
A multi-headed serpent from Greek mythology. Its lair was a lake reputed to be an entrance to the underworld.
Sagittarius: Ifrit (supernatural)
A Middle Eastern Jinn. It is often depicted as being the most powerful of them, and was claimed to be wicked and ruthless.
Capricorn: Kitsune (supernatural)
A Japanese word for fox. Stories say that these foxes have the ability to shapeshift into human form, and they are depicted as tricksters, guardians, friends, and lovers.
Aquarius: Lampad (mythological)
In Greek mythology, they are nymphs of the underworld who accompany Hecate and light her way. They carry torches which have the power to drive mortals to madness.
Pisces: Will-o’-the-Wisp (supernatural)
A widely shared tale about a flickering orb of light said to be a spirit attempting to guide travellers, sometimes to ill fate and sometimes to good.

Item: Torii gate providing entrance to the realm of the spirit-guardian of sick beats
OK but the caption makes it even better: “In Kamiyama, Tokushima [Prefecture, Japan], there’s a torii [Shinto shrine arch] made of speakers. You can use it to play music shared from your smartphone. It says “you can play anything.” Hmm, “anything,” you say……………………………….
even though it's no longer traditional for dunmeri nobles marked for death during a house war to wear the black banner, i like to think the practice survived in some way. maybe it's customary in morrowind to send your enemies "gifts" of black clothing as an unsubtle threat. love the thought of an offended hlaalu councillor furiously knitting a black scarf and then mailing it to an equally furious redoran councillor who immediately puts it on
"i wear this scarf to defy my hated enemy, whose cheap assassins do not trouble me. also it's very warm he's good at knitting"
Because it’s in Ojai, California where the weather’s always nice, Bart’s Books is an open air bookstore.
It’s open until sunset every day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy a book when they’re closed.
It’s a lovely place to browse or sit and read.
Isn’t this lovely?
And, your dog is welcome to browse, too.
You can spend hours here.
Cookbooks are in an actual kitchen from an old house.
Winston can’t believe what he found, he’s been looking for that book for ages!
And, like any good bookstore, they have a cat. This is Pygmy (aka Pigley).
