More games need to let you fuck up your romance entirely. Like truly one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me in a game is Alistair dumping me because i made him king and then like an hour later i was knocking on his door like "hey by the way i need you to fuck Morrigan."

#the best rpgs are the ones that let you royally bungle the romance.#in Rogue Trader: if you're too stubborn/dumb to play by Marazhai's rules he threatens to break up with you UNLESS...#you sacrifice AN ENTIRE PARTY MEMBER to be his pain toy for the remainder of the game. (we can assume he tortures them to death)#and even if you agree you're still locked out of the true ending for that romance LMAO

For a more illustrative example, say you go to the movies with a friend and you buy them popcorn, do you expect them at some point to send you money back via cash or through an app of some kind? Will you be upset if they don’t?

#i always communicate ahead of time if i would like to be paid back (generally for expenses over $20)#i'll be real; it's weird as hell for friends not to communicate these expectations before any money gets spent #my policy: if i don't explicitly ask to be paid back then it's on me.#but luckily i have the sort of friends who always double-check anyway
