[TLDR: already read the manga, wanted to watch filler/movies for the first time ever, made this. tell me what/why i should change placements (include spoilers, i dont mind) or use it yourself. if youre a bitch ill make a hollow hole in you the shape of my shoe.]
I've finally read the Bleach Manga recently and was curious about the fillers and movies of the Anime, so when I looked up a general timeline... I was just confused. There was no general consensus, or at least not one easily found. So I made a personal one with some notes before deciding that I might as well share/get more opinions on it.
Mostly chronological, for those who don't care for spoilers, need some help conceptualizing the years, etc.. If one does care for spoilers, watch 206–212 and 377–378 as they otherwise occur. Includes movies, one OVA, and filler arcs (one-off episodes not really expounded on except for a flexible clump); Ignore what you don't care for.
Note: I've not seen the Anime/Movies/OVA/etc. and am going off screenshots, skimming the summaries on the wiki, and about six different reddit/tumblr/blog posts that I looked at a month ago and don't have on hand.
Green for movies, Purple for fillers, Orange for other. There's a clarifier before the movies and filler for screen readers.
[Movie] Memories of Nobody - [Technically outside main continuity / not the same timeline, so can either be skipped entirely or watched whenever. However…*]
[Omakes] - [Watch / read as they occur / in one clump after arcs / not at all / etc.]
Turn Back the Pendulum - 206–212
Masaki Hollowfication and Death - [Specific scenes from] 377–378
Immediately Before - Chad and Ichigo meet / Start of the school year / Meeting Mizuiro and Keigo [wherever those come from, I wasn't searching]
Agent of the Shinigami - 1–20
Soul Society / Ryoka Invasion - 21–63
[OVA 2] - After 63
[Filler] Bount / Bount Assault - 64–109
* [Movie] Memories of Nobody - [Released after Soul Society, in the middle of Bount Assault, with promo in opening/ending of final 4 episodes of Bount Assault. Possibly fits here or before Bount.]
[Filler] Kasumiōji Conspiracy - % Cut 127 in half, before Orihime accepts Rukia's offer, middle of Visored training \ # Cut 138 in half, after Visored training but before Luppi appears. 168–189
[Movie] The DiamondDust Rebellion - Immediately after Kasumiōji \ % before Orihime, middle Visored / # after Visored, before Luppi. As a precaution, the Ōin was moved a bit early (so those still under a Bakkōtō or loyal to Kumoi couldn't try and use it to avoid Maggot's Nest / death / etc.), and its protection suffered for it \ #% It was time for the Ōin to move.
[Filler] Zanpakutō Rebellion - After % 127–138 / DiamondDust \ Kasumiōji. The Ōin \ Bakkōtō shenanigans awakened/was an unintentional opening for Muramasa to start his Rebellion. 230–255
[Movie] Fade to Black - Either immediately after Tōjū \ DiamondDust / [OR] \ Add a few days between 142 and 144 [Is Ishida/Chad/Inoue in the movie? If yes, ignore this option].
[Movie] The Hell Verse - [Watch 299 immediately before this movie.] Either wholly a dream in Ichigo's month-long coma, or he's never in a coma and does this movie soon after Aizen is taken care of.
[Filler] Reigai Uprising - After Hell Verse \ Either not in a coma, or there's a few days–week where he still has some Reiryoku to fight. 317–341
"Thank You" - 342
Lost Substitute Shinigami - 343–366
Thousand-Year Blood War - 367–406+{last Cour in July 2026}
I know some people put Muramasa (just him, not including the Tōjū) after Ulquiorra and before Aizen. That just feels harder to find an in-universe explanation for why Aizen and some Espada just disappear for a while, how the Gotei figure out when to swap Karakura and prepare, and why Ichigo couldn't help against Harribel/Starrk/etc.. So instead of following their thoughts, I placed it (and the other Arcs) where it seemed to roughly fit, even if it doesn't really make sense.
Like, for example, Hollow Ichigo taking over to fight Zangetsu, even though... Ichigo wasn't near death, so the Visored's training probably isn't done at least, but it doesn't feel right to put the Arc before or during it. Ichigo would be too distracted by his Hollow if they didn't already come to an understanding.
And some might not agree with just how many movies and fillers I put between Ulquiorra and Yammy appearing and Luppi and Grimmjow and them popping up, but I always wondered why some fanfics extended the "Winter War" until December/January when it ended in, like, two days in September. Which I also thought was bullshit when I read the Manga... So this makes a LOT more sense, while still keeping certain characters available and not cutting straight down Aizen's plans coming together.
I'm open to others' thoughts on the placements and notes, especially those who have already watched everything. Reorganizing where some arcs/movies go and specifying other one-off filler episodes, things like that. I will just block if someone tries to shit on the filler or movies / tell me to not bother / spoils shit just to spoil and not continue the discussion. Read the room: This ain't the post. I'm beyond curious of getting to these parts in my first (actual) watch of the Anime and seeing how it differs from the Manga. Your hate does not affect me. I am cringe and I am free.

hey. you have to love your trans brothers of color okay. and your trans sisters of color. and your nonbinary siblings of color. you have to okay. its simply non-optional
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
Happy Pride Month everyone! Remember 4 months ago when the CEO of this platform harassed and chased a trans woman off this website just for posting her transition timeline, then chased her to other social media platforms to continue harassing her, and threatened to call the FBI if she continued disputing the multiple dubious terminations of her blogs that did not violate tumblr's terms of service in any way? And despite tumblr staff insisting that the CEO was acting against their interests, the broad transmisogyny evident in the site's culture and moderation policy has still not been adequately addressed?
Remember that staff is continuing to nuke the blogs of trans women even after all of this. Remember this post when they call this site the queerest place on the internet again this month
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
