a/n: sooo…. i’m back (hopefully)! I’ve had the draft for Seungmin’s in my notes forever but i didn’t just want to write his alone 😭 so i wrote Changbin, Felix, and Jeongin to go with it. I couldn’t think of anything for anyone else
also, @cbini’s fics got me hooked on the idea of Changbin ‘s go-to name being using ‘yeobo’ and i’ve never got it out of my head since.
SEO CHANGBIN
Changbin has always been loud about the things he loves. Music, food, the gym. You. He’s not embarrassed about it.
There had been a time though, when he was terrified of saying anything affectionate in front of your parents. Not that he didn’t want too, but the thought of blurting out a pet name in front of your mom or dad made his stomach twist. He had practiced his greetings in the bathroom mirror, whispering “Pleasure to meet you, ma’am” in a thousand different ways until it sounded polite enough. The last thing he wanted was to call you “Baby” while your mom was in the room and have to dig his own grave afterwards.
But, that was back then.
Now, Changbin saying Yeobo is like second nature at this point. It rolls off the tongue no matter if you’re alone or surrounded by other people. Same with Jagiya. Just naturally rolls of the tongue

LEE FELIX
Felix has all sorts of names.
I feel like sometimes people are so focused on Felix being a sunshine (which he is) that they forget he absolutely can—and has—been an absolute gremlin sometimes. Felix has all sorts of things he calls you.
Teddy bear, sugar lips, baby cakes, snugglebutt—okay, okay, i’m kidding. not really. Those, and plenty other, are names that he calls you because he knows they’ll make you cringe bad. He’ll grin cheekily afterwards when he gets a reaction from you.
But there are others, the ones he uses seriously. Everyone knows Felix is very affectionate. I think if you’re dating him, it’d only amplify his affection.
He’ll call you Baby/Jagiya, Love or my love. And Darling.
Idk how many people like that name, but just imagining Felix saying it. His deep voice and his accent calling you darling? I’d melt.
KIM SEUNGMIN
Seungmin isn’t the type to use pet names very often.
It’s not like a “Seungmin uses pet names only in private and never around other people” kinda thing because he doesn’t use them in private that much either. Not because he doesn’t want too, or because he’s cold or closed off, but he cringes at himself. It wasn’t about not liking them. He definitely does, at least, he likes hearing you say them.
As much as he could put on a straight faced facade if asked if he likes pet names, he can’t ignore the way his cheeks flush and his heart skips a beat.
He’ll think about saying them. Maybe call you a pet name in his thoughts. But he’ll never say it aloud. unless he slips..
Which only happens when you’re completely alone because then his guard is down. In that case, he’ll call you Jagiya, Sweetheart, or my love. He definitely still cringes at himself immediately afterwards.
But not as much if no one else is around to witness. Just makes sure not to directly acknowledge it. It’ll embarrass him and you’ll be back to square one where he calls you strictly by your name for a few days until he forgets and slips up—again.

YANG JEONGIN
Jeongin doesn’t do pet names. At least not in public.
After a year or two of knowing them, using pet names around your family doesn’t bother him to much. A quick “Thank you, Baby” when you pass him something would suffice before it gets to be too much.
Around his family? A bit trickier. He’s the middle child of two brothers. Jeongin loves his siblings, but there’s something about calling you “Jagiya” and hearing his little brother snort from behind him that makes him want to chew on the dry wall. It’s not impossible, just not ideal.
He totally gets red in the ears in both scenarios, but it’s manageable (and one is just a bit easier than the other). However.. using them around his members is a completely different story. Jeongin would rather walk barefooted across legos than call you Yeobo with any of them—especially Chan, Hyunjin, or god forbid, Jisung—present.
He’s learned over the past 7-8 years and he knows better than to give any of the members more material to tease or baby him with. Not that they don’t, or won’t, anyways.
But still, he’s managed to keep pet names away from the other seven obnoxious men the entire time you’ve been dating and plans to keep it that way.
