Ivresang's Demo (Ironsworn Supplement) is OUT!

If you haven't seen me lately, it's because I've been writing. Some of you may know, some of you may not know, but I'm also a writer! And I write tabletop role-playing game material! A lot of it! I'm happy to share Ivresang's demo with you today. It's PWYW if you want to help the project, but you can also download it for free. It requires knowledge of Ironsworn to play, which is also a completely free pen & paper game.

You saw the crossbow bolt pierce through his neck. You saw his pupils bobbing up and down like marbles in a cage. You didn’t hear him gasping, gagging on his own blood—but you pictured it, and that was enough. You knew it was there.

It was a good shot. The blood didn’t leave him until he hit the ground.

You only found out he was a Myste after the fact. It should be comforting, shouldn’t it? He had no one waiting for him. He was all alone. But... no, that isn’t right. That isn’t right at all.

What if it was—?

What they’re furious about is how the other staffers will see that it can be done and possibly revolt against the unfair pay they’re getting or just up and leave.

Which they should.  Staffers should revolt or leave, and underpaying congresspeople should be fucking scared.

They’re pocketing the money that they could be using to pay those staffers a decent wage, but damn, they want that fifth car and extra 20th vacation to cheat at golf and fuck kids in Thailand or some shit. 

It’s not about the principle, it’s about demonstrating that it can be done, successfully, and the idea spreading to us little people that we can rise up and take back what is already rightfully ours anyway.  Vive la revolution!  Madame Guillotine is thirsty for the blood of liars and pigs.

so someone just said they’re “really interested in history” how careful do you have to be?

 “i just think history is interesting in general! i’m not interested in any specific part of it”: this person is most likely safe. never drop your guard though

“i’m interested in this specific subject or time period in history. (ex. ancient egypt,  the golden age of piracy, the history of the printing press”: still probably safe. be on the lookout for certain risky historical subjects. you should know them you see them 

“i’m really into WW2 history”: this is the caution zone, there’s plenty of valid reasons to be into WW2, but if they start talking about how Operation Sealion totally could have succeeded, it’s time to abort

 “i’m specifically into roman history, the crusades, prussian military history, and WW2”: danger! do NOT talk about history with this person. in fact, do not talk to this person at all. you will regret it, you do not want to know what they think of the treaty of versailles or why germany lost the first world war
