An alien can be a type of furry. If you believe. I certainly believe. Also I love Lilo and Stitch so I'm giving Jumba a pass. Also pretty sure he's somewhat based on a hippo so. Anyway! He's a self-proclaimed evil genius, the mastermind behind our beloved Experiment 626... aka Stitch. As well as very very many other evil experiments, each designed for a particular terrifying purpose...

Still, as much as Jumba declares himself to be evil, this big guy's got a heart of gold. He's intelligent, loud, bumbling, and endearing, and even through all his villainy he maintained his own code of ethics, so it didn't take much for him to be won over by the kindness of Lilo and her weird little family. He's certainly still proud and confident, but he's a more humble and helpful guy these days. Won't stop him from getting up to mischief though!

i kept having to reset cause i kept realizing i was going back and forth between reasoning, couldn't keep it straight between "who do i like better as a character" and "who do i prefer to have in the squad mechanically". ended up going with the former just cause so many of them are redundant mechanically or being in different games makes it harder to compare mechanics.

I don't know how to make this not sound mean but I'm not trying to be mean, so please know that going in.

Listening to a podcast about bodies and eating disorders and the body positivity movement of the last decade ish and hearing someone say (paraphrasing from memory here) "body positivity was all capitalism, there were no legislative changes, just new brands of jeans"

Legislative changes are super important but I cannot emphasize enough that jeans coming in bigger sizes and fat-friendly cuts is actually a really big deal! With meaningful impacts on people's lives (including mine)! Fat people do need clothes! And you may not realize this, but if you're over a certain size (that's not even that big a size) there's a very good chance you can go to a big box store and *not find anything that fits you*. There are towns in the US where if you're over a size 18 you need to drive an hour away or shop online to get things in your size. And they're expensive! "Just buy used" if they even have your size! Fat people want to look nice too. And we face enough judgement during job interviews (to give one example) without trying to do it in clothes that don't fit or are super uncomfortable.

Actually: If you're fat and you want to look cute/hot/masc/femme/etc I cannot recommend this website enough, you put in your measurements and it lists what brands have your size. You can filter for stuff like sensory friendly, nonbinary, masc, organic, etc. It's not AI just a database.

I do not agree with veganism as a moral standard. If it is your personal moral stance, that is fine. If you think humans eating meat is inherently immoral, I don’t want to deal with you, you’re hopeless. Vegan ideology behaves more like a sect of evangelical Christianity than a dietary choice.

Veganism is better for the environment, but claiming that it's a morally superior choice ignores cultural and economic factors that make people eat animal products.

It is not inherently better for the environment. That is the thing. When you begin trying to explain that local, sustainably sourced animal protein is better for the environment than imported plant proteins that are farmed 3,500 miles away using slave labor, they start tuning you out. Down is better for the environment than polyester stuffing, leather is better for the environment than pleather. We should work on making animal agricultural practices more sustainable instead of trying to shame everyone into eating plant products that are also farmed unethically and unsustainably.
