Something to be said about Joel’s specific wordage, after Jimmy dies. He says “I was gonna sacrifice myself for him, so he wouldn’t be the first out.”

After Jimmy dies, Joel kinda snaps. He goes off it, trying desperately to get kills, to avenge Jimmy. And even Grian points out “Joel reaches a point where he just loses his mind, completely, and he— he was way past that a while ago. Jimmy’s death has kind of had an adverse effect on him.”

And I just— I look at the way Joel says he was gonna sacrifice himself so that Jimmy wouldn’t be out first. Not that he was just gonna give Jimmy time. It was so that Jimmy wouldn’t be out first. As if he was gonna just… let Jimmy take all his time, maybe? I don’t know. But…

To me, it seems like Joel never planned to see Jimmy die at all. He planned to be dead before then. And so, seeing Jimmy die… it broke him. And I just. I can’t be normal about that.

The way that after Grian accidentally tosses his bread across the border he gets visibly upset exclaiming “why does nothing go righttt” to which Pearl says “I mean this has, we’re all here, we’re safe” and grian replies with “yeah we’re all here but without any bread, whats life without any bread”

Bread is an analogy for the Bad Boys (for obvious reasons) and after both of his brothers died it was the only thing left of their legacy.

Their mansion was set ablaze multiple times by Cleo and after reclaming it with water, glass shards were thrown in it by Martyn causing Joel to die. Their new home the sub sandwich with carrot cake, specifically his bread, was now turned moldy to add icy on depression cake that was his life at this point all thanks to Scott.

Their pride and joy bread bridge was gone, blown up to bits for absolutely no reason by TIES and M-Rye-5, the bridge Joel had worked so hard on was now griefed and being used against them.

HELL THEY EVEN CHANGED THE SPOILER

Atleast when Bread Bridge was demolished he had his boys.

Atleast when Jimmy died he still had Joel.

Now he has neither one and nothing to remember them by, not even bread, the simplest of their adventures.

Grian teaching his new allies how to get to the other side of the border with boats, and showing them that they can’t hit each other but can hit players still inside the border

NOW WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT WAS BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF TIMES JOEL AND JIMMY WENT “hey babe let down your hair pls” “oh yeah sure thing babe” and grians hallucinationating that theyre still there just as these two instead

The fact Pearl had to mention that they’re nosy neighbours (not the bad boys) and Grian mentioning something that at first he found to be weird and was against/disliked (bad- bad babes)

I’ve realised that in the Life Series seasons where we get Scarian/Desert duo we don’t get Ethubs but when we get Ethubs we don’t get Scarian

I like to think that Double Life doesn’t count as Ethubs because of Boat Boys but you can definitely see it that way if you want to because they did ally in the end. If that’s the case then we get Desert Duo every other season

The watchers dont want us to get both so then by that logic, because we got Etho and Bdubs alliance this time, in the next season (Grian please make another season I am begging of you to), we’re going to get Desert Duo!

Knowing Grian I’d usually feel like he would do anything he can to prevent that from happening mainly due to him believing Scar will only weigh him down and because he would want to interact with more people rather than just the same alliances repeatedly. That was the reason “Secret Soulmates” spawned in the first place but he does care more about winning then the lore, so if Scar proves himself worthy then theres a chance

and Scar has.

The reason I think the alliance might work is because Grian keeps mentioning how “the one season he’s not with Scar, Scar’s actually doing good and getting kills”, not knowing its his curse causing Scar to do poorly in the first place. With how many times Grian brought it up I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to go back to Scar

The only question is will Scar accept Grian?
