Snapshot from an era
Reupload, since tumblr doesn’t like displaying actual 120x120 / 64 x 64 images properly
The world operates in such a way that it has an infinite amount of things a person can become mad or irritated about. That is why the first step to peace is to learn to let go, to shed the weight of that world from your shoulders... people’s expectations, your expectations, grudges, hate... to come to acceptance with those issues that plague you, and give them away.
You know that feeling of worthlessness where you are feeling bad that you are not reaping rewards from something but you are afraid to start committing to that something? It’s like a limbo, like “God I hate that this is happening” and yet “I haven’t even started on this yet” and most of the time you are okay with starting new things and putting in work for things... but you are truly afraid and stuck, you don’t know where to go or what to do
Pixel Art I made recently
Deleted Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc...
Honestly it became too intrusive to check social media in my life, and when it got too tiresome it just felt pointless... like everyone was just posting meaningless details of their life that nobody truly cared for, and everyone just didn’t care about each other... its like they were just platforms of narcissists who just cared about how many likes and views their posts get... including me at one point. And then once I discovered how social media sites sell your data to companies and how anything you post is owned by most of them, that was the final straw. Like... how could I be such an idiot? Nothing in this world is free, I knew that... so then why did I not investigate into social media further??? I was basically duped... as well as many other people... like people trust social media sites with their data too much, like the people on snapchat or instagram who send/post nudes, or the people on twitter who makes remarks that could cause them to not get jobs/get fired from them, like, anything we post is P U B L I C and A C C E S S I B L E by many people, or anyone if they tried hard enough. No more will I participate in that social sphere, if I want to control my own life and destiny it will be through less intrusive forms, and within my own social sphere, not with 280 people, most of whom I have never met.
This guy and the Hell’s Angels ruined hippies for everyone

Tbh its kinda sad that one of the major disadvantages of the internet is that now we have to search harder to find the truth. To be informed no longer means just reading the news anymore, to truly be informed we have to read ALL the news and constantly fact check ourselves. I’ve mostly began doing this during the 2016 election and it just showed to me how amazingly polarized this country is. It has also led me to try and find the true source of America’s political divide, searching past the superficial, euphemist statements and inflammatory, accusatory language that is so common in politics and everyday talk. We aren’t in a divide because its “racists vs. minorities” or “trump acolytes vs. liberal snowflakes...” at its heart its an ideological war between the America thats opposed to the recent change in demographics, power structures, religion, international politics, technology, climate, science, and economy, and the America that welcomes these changes too readily. Both sides have become incredibly intolerant of each other, to the point where people on one side can believe themselves to be “superior” to the other, thus affecting trust, debate, research, and information accuracy. We need to find a way to compromise with each other, be more inclusive, and search harder for the truth, or else the fruits of this nation’s culture war will turn sour and not only lead to the stagnation and hate we have begun to see in the past decade, but contention on a scale much larger than what we saw in 1960s, and maybe even the 1860s, if we aren’t careful.
I have never in my life plugged in a USB drive correctly on the first try, and that’s just sad.

Hubble Sets Sights on a Galaxy with a Bright Heart
This Hubble Space Telescope image shows the unbarred spiral galaxy NGC 5033, located about 40 million light-years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici (the Hunting Dogs). The galaxy is similar in size to our own galaxy, the Milky Way, at just over 100,000 light-years across. Like in the Milky Way, NGC 5033’s spiral arms are dotted with blue regions, indicating ongoing star formation. The blue patches house hot, young stars in the process of forming, while the older, cooler stars populating the galaxy’s center cause it to appear redder in color.
In contrast to the Milky Way, NGC 5033 is missing a central bar. Instead, it has a bright and energetic core called an active galactic nucleus, which is powered by a supermassive black hole. This active nucleus gives it the classification of a Seyfert galaxy. Due to the ongoing activity, the core of NGC 5033 shines brightly across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. This released energy shows that the central black hole is currently devouring stars, dust and gas getting close to it. As this matter falls onto the supermassive black hole, it radiates in many different wavelengths.
While its relative proximity to Earth makes it an ideal target for professional astronomers to study its active nucleus in more detail, its big apparent size in the night sky and its brightness also make it a beautiful target for amateur astronomers.
