this is how lucidity went right
Why SHIFTING is DEFINITELY REAL.
(I'm definitely prepared for the Anti's to come along.)

Space is an endless opportunity & we have yet to discover it.
There are infinite possibilities that can happen, infinite possible timelines that surround us and infinite different choices we make during our lifetime.
All these affect us in some way. We have countless memories from things that supposedly "never happened" (Mandela effect), yet thousands of individuals come forward with the same memory.
That alone makes me (and you) question how limited our understanding of reality is.
And if you look at space itself, we haven't even discovered entire systems yet.
AND if you look at spirituality and religion, this idea of reality being more than what we physically see isn't new at all. MANY religious practices are centred around meditation: BUDDHISM, HINDUISM, TAOISM, JUDAISM. etc. Focusing on deep spiritual connection & altered states of awareness.
Across cultures and centuries, humans have always believed that consciousness is not confined to the body.
Even the Bible speaks about walking by faith and not by sight, about things unseen being just as real as what is visible. It constantly encourages us to look beyond what our eyes alone can perceive.
Here's the Bible verse to support this statement: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Epistle to the Hebrews 11:1)
So why is it impossible for you to believe that consciousness can move beyond this current reality?
There have been countless unexplained events that have happened, yet no one seems to be looking. Or they just don't want to acknowledge it.
Why is it that when thousands of people come forward with shifting stories/experiences/astral projection, anything remotely spiritual, they're not taken seriously, are called crazy, schizophrenics, etc.?
WHEN DID OUR PERCEPTION CHANGE SO MUCH DEPENDING ON POPULARITY?

Shifting, to many people, isn't just a trend or a meme. It's a REAL experience. a belief, and even a form of exploration of consciousness.
People use it to explore other realities, to understand themselves in different contexts and to experience things our physical world can't provide.
(BECAUSE IT'S BORING! BLEH. )
Shifting isn't just "imagination"; it's a doorway you want to keep shut because you're scared!
So, maybe the real question is, are you even willing to acknowledge the infinite possibilities of existence?
Just a thought!

Last night i entered the hypnagogic state (finally)
first long(?) post, kinda nervy
ok so boom i saw this post and i looked at it and immediately was like “this is the answer” and ive been meaning to up my quality of life and enlighten my spirit + more with meditation so i decided to try it. the night i wanted to i got sucked into my phone because i was talking to a new group of shifters !
So last night i didnt want to be a slave to my phone so i reread the post and put my phone down and usually i read a post and go “wait i need to refresh my memory on xyz” and then go on a huge rabbit hole about shifting as if im a baby shifter. but this time i didnt.
usually when im trying to get in a comfortable position its laying down on my back however this makes me fall asleep and think about other things so i stacked my 2 pillows therefore i was inbetween sitting and laying down and almost immediately i felt a difference in my confidence and just something that tells me that “yes. this is the way to reach your goal.” and i started to come up with a mantra so that i could reach a calm space:
“I am calm
i am peace
i am release
i am water
i am meditation”
and i kind of felt my body going to sleep like i was still repeating the mantra and stuff but i didnt feel my mind slipping into sleep but i was still at a void state like place then i felt my hand jolt and i woke up and i started seeing a scene of a dream forming and i started following the hypnopompic images and creating the scene in my head and i remember thinking “wow this is almost better than weed! imagine these two combined” and then a surfer dudes “woooahhhhh” 😭 and then i fell asleep shortly after that
but like ive been becoming frustrated with the dact that i cant do sats / oobe / hypnagogic techniques when all i had to do was calm tf down
Placebos, let's talk about them..
Even though we talk about a lot of complex routes of manifestations, we do miss out on something that would actually alter a lotta stuff in our brain.
I came across this reel and it got me thinking stuff , have a look
I recently noted that there have been some controversy regarding consumption of drugs that help with lucid dreaming. They might help someone for sure but i think that there are a lot of minors in here, desperate for lucid dreams who do not have the financial conditions to buy those or maybe they are not allowed to. And honestly since they are minors i actually wouldn't really stand in favour that they should buy themselves these meds without any consultation because this can be really fatal.
Then Nat do you have a solution?
Of course i do!
Lucid dreaming
Okay so this one is cool. You might know that apple helps get lucid dreams, so what i do is tell myself- "if i drink apple juice before sleep i will get lucid dream". "If i eat an apple before sleep i will get lucid dreams". Oh soo you want to get medicine? Ugh take multivitamins- "ohhh this thing got magnesium innit and magnesium = lucid dreams ohh i am sure as hell i am gonna get one".
This would help too.
Manifestation
You can literally exercises with so much in here, like you can literally think that drinking water is going to give you your subliminal results fast. "Oh i think if i listen to this particular subliminal on speaker this would give me faster results". "Oh if i journal in the morning i get my manifestations fast, my day goes so good"
Look i am being honest ,placebos can look like anything, from silly stuff to believing that your astro chart will help you. At the end of the day it's just you and what you believe in.
idk if this has been said before but I've just put some thought into the whole thing about how you know people always in the movies say to 'pinch yourself to tell if your dreaming'
well where did that idea come from? dreams obviously do seem real but usually people can't put two and two together (or at least i can't) until they've woken up, post dream
So it kinda got me thinking about the whole idea around pinching yourself to tell and maybe it was more of pinching yourself to ground yourself, like in terms of the reality you're in.
Do you see what I'm getting at? Like people accidentally shifting to realities which seem 'too good to be true' aka what you manifested as you slept, and then pinching yourself is what grounds you.
It can be thought either way as in people who have manifested good things to happen pinch themselves, and when they truly feel the sensation they believe their reality and their 3D and whatnot, ultimately realising it's not a dream. Or they pinch themselves and end up using it almost like the whole safe word thing, sending them back to their 'cr' and waking up as if nothing has happened, calling it a 'realistic dream'
I actually like this concept a lottt
Explaining why shifting is NOT and CANNOT be lucid dreaming
And why antis should stop saying it is...
First of all, I need to define lucid dreaming for you guys. I'm copying this definition off of Wikipedia for simplicity sake, but feel free to look it up for yourself.
The definition of a lucid dream is "a type of dream wherein the dreamer realizes that they are dreaming during their dream. The capacity to have and sustain lucid dreams is a trainable cognitive skill. During a lucid dream, the dreamer may gain some amount of volitional control over the dream characters, narrative, or environment, although this control of dream content is not the salient feature of lucid dreaming."
By definition, a lucid dream REQUIRES a person to recognize they are in a dream. From there, they may or may not be able to control their dream. Controlling your dream isn't the defining feature of a lucid dream, though. The defining feature is the lucidity, when they become aware that they are dreaming.
If you compare this to shifting, you can EASILY see why shifting cannot be a lucid dream. If someone claims that something was not a dream, that what they experienced was real, that means that what happened CANNOT be a lucid dream. Because, again, lucid dreaming BY DEFINITION means that they were aware of the fact that they were in a dream. If anything, it would be called a vivid or realistic dream, not a lucid dream.
I honestly don't even care if people don't believe in shifting, it's the misuse of terminology that they clearly know nothing about that bothers me. I'm definitely not an "expert" by any means, but it's extremely frustrating for people to say "it's just lucid dreaming" as if that's not insulting to BOTH the lucid dreaming AND shifting communities.
So, long story short, shifting CANNOT be lucid dreaming. If someone says that it is, they very obviously don't know what they're talking about and are just parroting an argument they heard from someone else without even looking into what they are saying.
Feel free to use this argument against any antis who are being disrespectful towards you, or simply ignore them knowing that they can't even be bothered to look up a definition for lucid dreaming.
a master-dump of interesting watches, highly recommend:
¡! my goal with this list isn't to prop up one idea over another, but more to highlight the underlying residue that seems to exist beneath it all ¡!
