Last few days were pretty good, Picked some burdock stalks from my backyard, some ground ivy, wild roses, and pineappleweed for tea, dame’s rocket, and a few milkweed buds! (I left plenty for the monarchs, don’t worry!)

grass weaving by Giedražolė
noticed some maple seed pods and pineappleweed when going for a walk so i might go back for them after school. (it’s my last day!!!) i also found some ground ivy and took it to replenish my supply, because the stuff i was drying mysteriously went missing, and I bet a certain feline that enjoys greens has something to do with it

Mallow, horseweed, and chickweed from behind my school. You wouldn’t expect there to be much but surprisingly there is!
Does anyone have any recourses on foraging as self sufficiency? Like not just foraging a few mushrooms for fun, but actually sustaining yourself off of what you find?
There's tons, depending on what you're looking for and where you are. If you're in the US and looking to supplement with forage greens this is a good quick start (if I get the link to work).
If not Google 'Edible Wild Plants; wild food from dirt to plate' by John Kallas PhD, PDF. It's available online free
Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely read this
[Smiling through gritted teeth after finding a tick on myself] I love all of nature’s creatures. I love ALL of nature’s creatures.

Big plans today (not really ‘big’ in the common sense, but for me it is.) Because on the way to my grandma’s I spotted a nice looking flush of oyster mushrooms out of the car window, so HOPEFULLY i can go back for them. Also there’s a bunch of common mallow, chickweed, and more lamb’s quarters outside my school so I’ll probably procure those as soon as possible.
pineappleweed is starting to grow, i might pick some for tea if i find a patch a ways away from the roadside
Doing small good deeds makes me happy. On Saturday, i was at an outdoor event, and i noticed a kid having trouble washing his hands (It was an outdoor sink, you had to use a well pump if you wanted water) so I helped him, and on Wednesday, strong winds blew a bunch of the recycling bins in our neighborhood down, so my mom and I helped pick up!
Forageslop curry. Where i take a packet of curry and add random stuff i foraged. this has knotweed, curly dock, oyster mushrooms, and mica caps. (Also tofu and rice, which i did not forage)
