hey tumblr, dunno if this is of interest to you but i am gonna gardenpost at you cus it's really brought me a lot of happiness and i wanna share that, if possible!

here is the greenhouse we recently finished constructing

i love this guy. the garlic I planted in troughs outside it isn't far off done! maybe another month or so

inside the greenhouse, the tomatoes and peppers are becoming a thing! those flowers will turn into fruit and then into a dinner yum yum

the inside of the greenhouse! I have like 3 types of chili going cus chilis are best. also outside there's a bunch of plums on the little plum tree but I know I will never have these, they are destined for birdsnacks. i accept this

some blooms arriving in the garden proper, this peony hates me and will only do one flower total but that is its right. I planted those bellis daisies this year and I'm stoked at how well they've taken

an immense barrel that is gonna bloom a huge beautiful lily, just you wait and see

just got all our seedlings transplanted into the garden plot and I'm so anxious I feel like I'm dropping my kid at college except there's like a way higher chance of them dying

you can almost not fucking see all the seedling we have planted they're just babieees I'm scared. some squares are seeds and a bunch are onion sets you can't barely see the lil tops of

also built our fence today which is UGLY but we're growing too much stuff rabbits want to eat and there are much rabbits in the garden

chased one around yesterday for a while just for fun(/to maybe discourage it a little) had a great time would chase rabbit again

the tomato plant we're just gonna buy bc we waited too long to start seeds inside so ignore the cage. big trellis is for peas, little one on the right u can barely see is eggplants

I just FEEL like everything is going to die

first peas, first cherry bomb peppers showing up today!! started a new earthbox and transplanted strawberries (btw they look like shit), basils, thyme, mulched everything with arborist mix, weeded approx one william oak seedlings. cucumber i got from my boss is bolting i thinkkkk but we’re getting some incredibly late emerging seedlings (lit planted them a month ago) and it’s been so long idr what they are lol. megs mystery garden

Jury’s out on whether global warming is a net gain or loss for my habaneros (late frost but also, stupid warm winter-> no winterkill-> hungry deer-> hopping the chest-high garden fence to browse the leaves off my pepper plants, neither of which are things they typically like to do) but this one is very tenaciously producing despite the bad haircut
