He recognizes that little heart-shaped antenna. It’s the person he’d met under the mistletoe during the holidays, which, now that he thinks of it, is kind of a forward way to meet someone… He’d only kissed them on the cheek to satisfy the tradition, but… goodness, did he ever even learn their name?
Regardless, it might be even stranger if they were to never interact after something like that, so he should probably take this opportunity.
Here’s to hoping that they aren’t too easily startled, considering Gonta is over half their height… and that they aren’t too embarrassed about the last time they’d met. He’ll at least try to keep his voice gentle.
“Oh, um… Hello again! Do you remember me?”
Oh, they remembered him, alright. It’s sort of hard to forget being kissed by someone out of the blue on Christmas eve. Especially being kissed by someone so colossal. Not that he was colossal, mind you, but standing at a mere two feet would make nearly anyone above that look imposing.
Staring up at him, Cousin felt their cheeks burn a bit. It was just a little mistletoe kiss. That’s it. But it was still embarrassing. Who would they be if they didn’t at least get to know him after that. Cracking a smile, Cousin pushed aside their self-consciousness and began to give him their reply. “Yeah, I remember-” (When you kissed me on Christmas eve. That was Christmas eve right? Oh God, right you kissed me. You Kissed me! Sure it was a mistletoe kiss, but-)
Their brain went into overdrive briefly, causing them to pause and zone out. After a moment of internal debating, they finally continue their sentence. (Don’t be weird, Cuz. Just answer him!)
“Remember, yes. I do! Remember! When we Met! From that Time! Yes! Oh, Christmas! Yep!” (Oh god, I look like a doofus...)
