Okay, I've been thinking about this since I watched the live action and, since he has this whole 'king' persona I think him being fixated on kingdoms matches him, since he likes his crown and his act I think he would be the person to research things he likes

What if he genuinely had no trauma, well he thinks he doesn't, I HC him having a pretty good childhood but his mom (idk I feel like a one parent thing) is a criminal, not a pirate but basically a scammer and he gets treated pretty good, but he's spoiled so he lashes out to people when they don't want to do what he says

(I'm not gonna say the other edgy parts of his backstory because I don't think it fits at all)

Since his mom is a criminal who genuinely cares for her son, she just never gives him a name so people can't identify him, and he learns to be eccentric and have multiple disguises from her

Finally, what if he joined Baroque works because he knew about the partner stuff, like he doesn't want to be alone, or he wants to be a part of something

And I know its not serious but how did he even get that high up, and ik theres other non devil fruit users with high ranks but, look at him, what did he do😭

Since Mr.9 is an eccentric, he probably has make up and other outfits for disguises

And he uses the make up to mainly cover his nine tattoos because they genuinely are inconveniently placed😭

He probably rants to Vivi how the tattoos ruin his face, and how annoying it is to cover them up all the time for every mission

AND ik anime hair logic never makes sense but if it did, wouldn't that mean that he has to dry and curl his hair and style it😭, like before he fights Zoro he had used the time to dry his outfit and fix his hair up to make sure he looks good, such a performative guy,,,

Though I feel, in the LA at least he probably looks kinda androgynous (maybe from afar) with his hair not curled up

Mr.9 and Vivi calling each other using baby (and darling, I think? My friend says so) is so cute

But from what I've seen Mr.9 calls Vivi baby a lot, so what if the first time he calls her baby because of his habit of calling people that he freezes and gets embarrassed but Vivi calls him baby back to add another trait to her Ms. Wednesday persona, and Mr.9 takes this as a gesture that she understands his whole thing (that or he still tells her that him calling her baby doesn't mean anything 😭)

That or, Vivi thinks he's flirting but doesn't take it seriously, until Mr.9 calls someone else baby and she jokes about him being a womanizer and has this dead oan face and says " You know I'm never flirting when I call anyone 'Baby' right?" And he just looks disappointed that she thought of that [really ooc actually]

Also what other nicknames would Mr.9.call Vivi like, I know it would be A LOT {Him calling her baby instead of miss wednesday in front of people would be embarrassingly funny}

And another thing, the dub and sub for when Mr.9 protects Vivi

In the dub he says they've been fighting together for a while now so he doesn't mind protecting her(thats what I remember)

In the sub he jokes how manly it is for him to do it and I think its cute😭, they probably joke around a lot💔

Long rant about Vivi & Mr.9 again,,,

Re-watched their eps in the anime and the way Mr.9 calls Vivi baby is so, flamboyant

Also when luffy slammed into them and opened the door, mr.9's voice kept cracking and when they were about to fire the cannon into Laboon his voice cracks while yelling, and the tone in his voice is also really whiney, so new hc that he gets voice cracks a lot, which is why he doesn't yell much because he's embarrassed about it

(Vivi definitely laughed the first time she heard it)

Also Vivi had THE himedere laugh and I love it

And why is vivi the one on mr.9's shoulders if he's the one using the binoculars and ik its cuz of the unluckies but why not use them while she's on his shoulders (and the fact to get on someone's shoulders while in the water you have to have that person submerge so you can get on them, so he just did that)

And mr.9's traitor comment, saying that the people might think they're traitors, Vivi was probably surprised

When Mr.9 asked Nami if there was a heater on the ship like he didn't have two layers of clothing, imagine if he had all those layers but is never sweating and somehow still cold, and Vivi's "I'm cold" is cute idc

And finally, where the hell do they sleep, like their little hut/shack had zero beds, why are they sleeping on the floor omg

Seems like I'm not the only one losing my mind over Mr. 9 and Vivi. This duo, gosh, they made me want to write about them (but I haven't yet because motivation is not with me rn) I love your rants about them and yes, Mr. 9 is a dogboy and Vivi is a catgirl

I saw this one post about the two, where what if Mr. 9 and Vivi does like a pinky promise every time they separate during mission to like promise each other that they'll see each other again after the mission (the story potential—)

I also have this random, uh, vision. For some reason I vision Mr. 9 and Vivi with sibling relationship (let's say in a peaceful world) like Lee Kwang Soo and Song Ji Hyo from Running Man (with lesser physical violence but its there)

Okay, okay. Imma stop now. I'll be lurking on your tumblr just in case you post somethig about Mr. 9 and/or Vivi again, I love them too and I love reading rants about them including yours

Okay so mr.9 does feel a lot like a cat, BUT hear me out

He's loyal, listens easily, and cares so much about his partner, I could go on about how he's more dogboy than cat boy but, yea, {{Anime Mr.9 laughs a lot/kinda hyper soooo}}
