the name's caiti armstrong aaand i'm a jigsaw survivior. i was picked for being “invisible” or some shit.

my "game" was simple. if i could survive for five hours in a murder house with a four bat-shit people that kept trying to kill eachother, i could live. the only twist was i had to keep talking. if i wasn't bargaining to live they would probably kill me, or a device strapped around my neck would cut off my air until I suffocated if my voice went below a certain decibel. i had a poison injected into me that made me more drowsy as time went on, but hey. 'm still here.

my brain and leg are fucked up from it the poison, but other then that i'm good. only mildly suicidal now!

um, yeah. she/they. I have a husband and a baby and i'm just here for a good time. i'm 23. in film school to be a director. that's it.

the drive to the hospital was calmer than he thought it'd be. he'd called ahead of time so they were able to settle into a room with little to no wait time, letting caiti use his hand as a stress ball during the drive downtown.

their prep room was somewhat spacious- a nice bed with a chair on one side and a bunch of medical shit on the other, as well as an ensuite bathroom and a tv with decent signal. matt helped caiti get settled in, slipping her into a hospital gown and grabbed her some ice chips. "can i get you anything else?" he kissed the words onto her temple.

but everything would be worth it the second their babygirl is in caiti and matt's arms. however, there's one problem. she still doesn't have a name.

it took the press of matt's lips to snap her out of her brainfog. "can you just... lay with me?" caiti yawned, leaning into his touch. god, this baby had drained her energy these last few months.

"yeah.. yeah, anything you need." he slipped off his worn out sneakers before pushing himself onto the hospital bed. this was probably against a handful of rules and regulations, but goddammit, if his wife wanted to be held, then held she'd be.

he tucked an arm around her shoulders, the other going to rest on her tummy where their baby was readying itself. "you're doing amazing. i'm so proud of you."

caiti smiled this small smile and shook her head. "pushing out a baby is hard luck, y'know. baby graveson isn't for the weak."

did the fact their fetus still remains unnamed bother her? of course it did. to say she wasn't on the brink of a mental breakdown every five seconds would be a big fat lie.

caiti leaned against matt's shoulder and burried her face in him. "are you nervous at all?" she asked, her voice the soft tone it was when they had first met.

nervous was an understatement. "yeah.. yeah, i am. but she's in good hands here. our girl is gonna be just fine." he kissed the crown of her head.

".. we still need to name her, though." he said after a moment. "any ideas?"

that was until matt spoke again. caiti bit her lip and stared at his collar. the uncomfortable and risky pregnancy, constant brain fog, unfortunate timing, and their shared hatred of nearly everyone makes it very hard to pick a name.

that is... there was one name caiti had her heart set on. one that hadn't left her name in ages. however, it felt morally wrong to name your daughter after your best friend (girlfriend?) that you drove to suicide. especially considering her husband knows nothing about it.
