5 Places to Seek Adventure
5 Places to SeekĀ Adventure
Iāve been incredibly fortunate throughout my life to have had the privilege to experience many things in the world, perhaps more so than some 23 year olds (and less so than others). As a child, my parents took me on multiple āholidaysā a year, from little weekends away, to week long holidays over the summer. This was in a time before parents could be fined before removing their children fromā¦

Iāve written poetry from a young age. Itās not always been fantastic, to say the least. I started when I was approximately thirteen, entering my ever embarassing emo phase, so a lot of it was, typically, about wolves, and sadness, and the never ending call of the void. Yeah, I wonāt be sharing any of that. But I thought you might be interested in seeing some of the slightly more refined examples,ā¦

Day in the Life
Day in theĀ Life
Iāve now been a university student for six years. Six whole years. Iāve been a studentĀ nurse, however, for just a year and a half. It feels like Iāve been so for so much longer though. Not only do I go to university though; I also work as a healthcare assistant on the bank, a phrase which here means that I work at all of the wards in my trust on a flexible bases, which can vary from dementiaā¦

Iāve returned to blogging! Iāve been away from it for over a year, and have decided itās time to give it another go. I have four new posts up; why Iāve returned; all about my parentsā wedding anniversary and my stepdadās cancer; my trip to London recently; and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. It would mean so much to me if you could check it out and read!

Tonight, a feeling has struck. Itās one that, according to statistics, 1 in 4 people experience. Itās a feeling that we donāt often talk about, and itās something that we tend to hide away, obscured from the view of all but a select few, chosen in our most difficult moments. Itās a feeling of depression. Of anxiety. Of numbness, and a lack of motivation that comes with experiencing mental illā¦

London Calling
Earlier this week, my partner Reece and I journeyed to London for a night away. Weād been planning it since October, when I purchased tickets to see the always fantastic Lindsey Stirling, an eletro-violinist, for Reeceās anniversary gift. Obviously, I was also to benefit, since there was no chance he was going to be taking anybody other than me to see my favourite pixie-esque violinist. Iād beenā¦

Family Matters
Yesterday was my parentsā fourth wedding anniversary. That may not seem like a lot to most people, but theyāve actually been together for twenty three years in total. Theyāve both been married previously, and theyād both said theyād never do it again, but then something changed all of that. In 2012, my mumās partner, Mark, was diagnosed with bowel cancer. It brought our worlds crashing down. Whenā¦

A Return to Blogging...
A Return toĀ Bloggingā¦
I started this blog back in 2015 as something to do when I was āboredā, or needing a āchallengeā, and if Iām being perfectly honest with you, I think that was the wrong way to go about it. As you can see, I went off to university, got caught up in life, and hey ho, look what got forgotten about whilst still in its infancy. Iām sorry, blog. You must have felt so abandoned, craving for posts toā¦

All these shots are between thirty and fifty second exposures. The time varies depending on the moonlight and starlight. I tend to shoot each exposure for under 45 seconds so the stars donāt trail. Itās really mind boggling to think about how long these mountains have been around. I try to make the exposures connect together as if theyāre forming a single mountain or some sort of mountainous being.Ā
