She paused to give him an odd look, then shook her head. “That is very sad, but not unexpected. Those who practice are frequently considered to be outsiders to mainstream cultures.” She watched as the children grew bored with his blanket and started to mess with eachother again. It was something they always returned to. 

“That is surprising considering the magic resting in your midgardian bones.” One hand reached out and she pressed it against his chest, then removed it after a heavy pause. “Would you like to see?” She wasn’t about to expose any practitioners here without their permission. Being shown to the world without the want to been seen was terrifying. 

She might as well have spoken in riddles. W’Kabi was aware of magic, but to have that inside him? He was skeptical, to put it lightly. 

“You have my attention.” He gestured for her to continue, his shoulders stiffening a little, despite his attempts to appear relaxed. Curiosity was not a vice, but there were times where curiosity was his downfall. He hoped this was not one of those cases.

“ pick me pick me pick me! “ the little prince jumped up and down amongst the other kids, they were on a field trip and their last spot was the boarder tribe to learn about the rhinos.

To pick Azari would be to show blatant favoritism, but he gestured for the boy to come up to him regardless. 

“Come then, my prince. I cannot permit you to ride the rhinos, but you may be the first to feed them and ask me any questions you have.”
