Have You Seen

Last night I dreamt of my aching body laying down peacefully, making up for lost time in the palm of his immaculate hands.

Never did I think I'd witness earth become sand as winds turned and voices hummed, a deafening chorus overwhelming my senses, maternal spirits telling me to stand strong.

Never did I think I'd secretly wait for the love of a man who easily cast aside something so lovely as I whisper, "Don't bail on me."
