Recommend: Bringing a hand towel to wipe off your face during the workout. Lavender Eucalptyus towels you get at the end
Not Sure if I Recommend: Body paint that literally drips off you and makes your mat/towel glow-in-the dark 🤷🏻♀️
Please DO!! I never understood people that didn’t want to help others climb up as if it threatened their own success.
Even if you blame it on “being competitive” wouldn’t you want to be the best of the best? Push yourself to be better and to do better. You’re competing against yourself at the end of the day.
Just saw this in the July 2013 Glamour magazine! Love it! X
I remember this is my first post that went viral - literally snapped it flipping through a magazine 9 years ago craziness
Choose Your “Hard”
A friend and I were chatting about this. Make the “hard” choice. Wake up early. Nourish your body. Move your body. Do the laundry. Wash the dishes.
If you don’t take the “hard” path, then later down the road it may be chosen for you or a different obstacle may pop up. You don’t wake up early? Hitting snooze feels so good. What if there’s unexpected traffic and you’re late to something important to you? That choice was made for you - you missed out on critical moments you won’t get back.
Literally my day is made.
Looking back at my personal posts and completely forgot this happened: my college roommate sent me this. I also met a few people at my school gym that knew me from Tumblr. Crazy small world.
Challenge: Wake up 20 minutes early every morning and walk a mile (or 20 minutes).
I decided last night that I was going to start getting up early and walking a mile every morning. It was a struggle this morning- I did not want to get up haha- but I finally did it, and it felt GREAT. Literally you feel refreshed and energized- not to mention accomplished!
*It’s easy on your joints and it gets that body moving!
For my advertising class, I’m writing a paper on the Dove Real Beauty campaign, and looking at the research behind it really makes me sad.
Based on the study behind the paper “The Real Truth About Beauty – A Global Report” that surveyed 3200 people from 10 different countries they got this data:
2% of women describe themselves as beautiful
47% of women rate their body weight as “too high”
48% of women agreed with the statement “When I feel less beautiful, I feel worse about myself in general”
I absolutely hate that this a thing. I hate that women don’t feel that they are beautiful. I hate that women feel worse about themselves as a result. I hate that the emphasis is on a certain type of woman in order to be perceived as “beautiful”. It’s all advertising and it’s all so wrong. There’s beauty everywhere and in everyone. And that should be celebrated.
Wow this is still so powerful and unfortunately true years later
The only before and after comparison picture that matters 🍕
PSA: Sub the milk + butter in your pancakes with all apple sauce
So the batter was almost runny and I was scared at first but I’ve never had fluffier pancakes and it is SO GOOD.
Next time I’ll take pictures.
Halfway through the year. Let’s make it count!!
