Meet Daniel Forero, the man that brought you those fabulously abstract floral wallpapers! Here’s a little about him...
“I'm a graphic designer/Illustrator based in Stockholm since 2010.
Before coming to Sweden I lived & worked in Buenos Aires for 3 years and before that I worked, studied & grew up in Bogotá – Colombia.
After working as an art director in the advertising industry for 7 years, I decided to put more time into personal creative projects and illustration work so I become a freelancer. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.”
We asked Daniel those all important Wallpapr questions and here’s what he had to say...
1. What inspires you most when designing?
“I always need music, it's pretty hard for me to design in a quiet environment, I feel almost under pressure when it's quiet. Also, looking at colorful things inspire me.”
2. What has been your most challenging project and why?
“I've had a couple of challenging projects in different ways. The first one was 7 years ago, it was my second job as a designer and I got the responsibility to design a special edition label for a Coca Cola, the round bottle for the America Cup. They'd print more than a one million bottles! It went very well, client was happy, the agency was happy. Since then I gained so much more confidence in the agency.
The second one was the poster for last year's "Make Music Stockholm" music festival. I had only been a freelancer for a few months and the poster was going to be placed all over Stockholm with my name on it.”
3. What would be your dream achievement?
“I don't have a specific achievement but it's very important to me right now to define a bit more clearly my own style and build a name as an independent designer. I'm working hard on it by taking very seriously every project I put my hands on and also creating a lot of experimental work.”
4. What is your favourite method of design and why?
“I always quickly, and horribly, draw the first ideas that come to my head no matter how bad or complex or whatever they are - they all come out of excitement and ambition and I think that's a great start.”
5. (Apart from your own) which wallpaper is your ultimate favourite on our app?
“I like Stina Websterg's hand-painted simple patterns. I think they work nicely for wallpapers.”

Please meet Vera Mota, the ambitious and energetic Portuguese designer totally in love with her dog! Not to mention being responsible for those ultra cool food patterns that are just simply BANANAS! Here’s her story...
“I'm a Portuguese graphic designer, born and raised in Porto and now based in Lisbon. I graduated from the University of Arts & Design with a bachelor's degree in Digital Arts & Multimedia and Post Graduation in Communication Design.
After my graduation I started working immediately and currently i’m doing design for events. During this time I specialized myself in branding, digital and spacial design, working for ambitious projects. In parallel with my work, I always developed personal projects including illustrations, typography, icons, color schemes, characters and I have a big love for creating pattern designs.
I'm a very humble hard worker and I believe there will never be an ending for learning and for growing.”
We asked her our Wallpapr questions and you can totally hear her enthusiasm when she answers...
1. What inspires you most when designing?
“Everything that surrounds me is an inspiration. It can come from the most simple things in life, while i'm walking my dog, watching a movie, listening to music, having talks with my friends or even with the neighbour. Places I have visited, to travel and see different cultures makes me feel refreshed with tons of new ideas. I try to take a lot of pictures and collect everything I see, the colors, the light, the movement and all the essence.”
2. What has been your most challenging project and why?
“Instead of a specific project I would like to say that what’s more challenging for me it’s life by itself and I try not to lose myself between the agency work and my personal projects. We should never stop doing our own, even if it’s just for fun, but every moment that we sit and create for ourselves it’s really important not to lose our freedom and creativity. That’s my challenge every day.”
3. What would be your dream achievement?
“I would love to be a renowed designer, travel a lot and keep doing what I love. Something that would fill up my heart would be to work with kids and do pretty books with sweet illustrations for them. Also to have the chance to create more and more patterns and hopefully see them some day in a lot of different materials.”
4. What is your favourite method of design and why?
“I am completely an Illustrator lover. I always try to bring my ideas to paper so starting with a sketch of what I want, then applying it digitally using a pen tablet and for a last touch I go for Photoshop.”
5. (Apart from your own) which wallpaper is your ultimate favourite on our app?
“This question is really hard, impossible to choose just one between of all of these great designs. I need to say I love the work from Aliya Manakova and Marko Stupic, so good.”
