He’d finally gotten his own office.  No longer was he squashed into a cubicle alongside three other fellow glorified receptionists, forced to answer phones and field questions and transfer calls to the “appropriate extension” (which meant bouncing people around until they got fed up and hung up).  Now he had an office.  A real office with giant file folder drawers lining the walls and an updated computer sitting at the beautiful desk.

With new security clearances to go along with the office, Zubin logged into the computer, poking around at all the new files he now had access to.  He wasn’t going to be asked to do anything with the tax write-offs or the grant applications, but he could see them.  They were all in there.  Even the one claiming BGC was a non-profit organization.

This could be it... this could be enough.  If he could get his hands on the actual tax return the corporation filed, their projected income for next year and the breakdown of where that money was going... that could be enough.  It might not damn the corporation, and it certainly wouldn’t get to the bottom of what was going on here, but it would cause enough public outrage that suddenly those people who were neutral might finally see that they had to take a side.  That they had to oppose BGC, try to force them out of their city, join the forces picketing outside.

Glancing behind himself at the closed door, Zubin printed a copy of the letter that detailed how BGC met the criteria to be classified as a non-profit.  Then he held it in his hands, physical evidence, and started to feel like he could actually make a difference.

Then he saw the name at the bottom of the letter.

It was his younger brother’s signature.  His stomach turned over and his heart hammered in his ears.  Zubin could still remember how, on the day of the quake, they’d found each other for a moment in the chaos.  How his brother had grabbed his arm and screamed at him to come with him, to get out.  How his brother had... tried to save him...

The letter went into the shredder.

Well, the apps are done.  These three couldn’t be more different if they tried.

Hana’s basically the mom of the entire SFPD who will destroy you (verbally or physically) if you threaten her babies.  She’s divergent (but doesn’t know that yet) and having post-quake nightmares about what happened and is hiding that from everyone.  But she’s still somehow one of the nicest, most open people in the world.

Zubin’s basically an undercover investigator at this point, working for BGC and hating every second of it.  He’s prototypical but was still quarantined under suspicion of radiation poisoning, so he’s not too happy with anything.  He hasn’t formed any genuine relationships in over a year because he’s trying to keep the “totally spying on BGC by working for BGC” thing under wraps.  He’s just REALLY SAD about everything.  Poor guy.

And then there’s Eli.  The free spirit who just kind of goes with the flow and takes life as it hits him and is so annoyingly optimistic about everything it hurts.  He’s divergent and knows it and will probably start using his super-speed to impress girls.  Someone please explain to this loser how serious the situation is so he can actually do something useful.  Please.

I can’t wait to throw these three nerds at all of you guys!  I’m sure we’re all going to have some amazing, diverse, intense plots and I’m so excited to see what everyone comes up with.

Zubin (Sirius Black) needs his best friend!  These two idiots met in elementary school and have been inseparable ever since.  “Remus” is Zubin’s conscience as well as his partner in crime, and he’s the most important person in Zu’s life.  (Coincidentally, he is one of three people who actually get to use “Zu” as a nickname.)  “Remus” is the reason Zu was able to get away from his parents and actually make something of himself outside the family name.  Both of them struggled to make futures for themselves after high school (“Remus’s” reason is up to you), but their support and encouragement for each other is what got them both through.  They have literally seen each other at their worst and stuck by each other the entire way.

I think it would be a super rad plot if these two were separated the entire quarantine and have only just found each other again.  “Remus” should be divergent (bc werewolf), and whether or not he tells Zu about that is up to you.  “Remus” knows Zu’s only working for BGC to expose the corporation as corrupt, but this now takes on a whole new level of uncomfortable seeing how they’re the ones who kept “Remus” locked up and might haul him away any second.  How this affects their relationship is totally up in the air.  We’ll talk.  The only thing that’s really important is the unbreakable bond these two have.  Because they’re Sirius and Remus and nothing will ever keep them apart forever.

Pictured is Dean O’Gorman, mainly because he and Aidan have so many stupid photos together and who doesn’t like dumb photos?  But having him as a face isn’t necessary.  I would like them to be the same age, though, since that way they will have gone through all of their school years together.  Honestly, all that matters is that bond between these two, so as long as they’ve got that we can totally change anything else.  So come play Remus!!

I’m joining this “want ads I will 100% be posting” bandwagon because IDEAS!

And who doesn’t love ex-boyfriend plots?  Hana (Diana Prince) could totally use her Steve Trevor.  Or open spirit if you don’t like Steve or would like him to be divergent!  Pictured is Jim Sturgess because cute picture is cute, but that’s open as well.

These two were close friends in college, dated for a while, but then Hana bailed on the relationship when “Steve” said he loved her.  She loved him too, but ended the relationship because she wasn’t attracted to him sexually.  She’s asexual but not aromantic, which makes relationships hard for her.  The lovey-dovey stuff is great, but she’s always afraid of what it might lead into.  She never explained this to “Steve,” but they still managed to patch things up and become friends again.  Not nearly as close as they were, but still.  Friends.

The plot I have in mind is for “Steve” and Hana to really reconnect now that the quake is over and it’s made everyone re-evaluate what’s really important.  Regardless of what happened between them, Hana loves him and wants him to be safe, so she’s going to seek him out to make sure he’s okay now that the quake is over.  And if he is okay (totally up to you!) she’s going to explain everything.  (If he’s not okay then she’s going to do everything in her power to get him to an okay place, and then explain.)  Whether or not they get back together is totally open for discussion.  The real plot here is one of two people with a confusing relationship finally being honest with each other... and it only took ten years and a catastrophic earthquake to get there!

HANA YUN || 32 || LAW ENFORCEMENT || DIANA PRINCE

Her single driving force is her desire to protect her loved ones.  They are her soul.  Without her mother, sisters, and friends she would not exist, and as such she can never thank them enough.  Everything she does is devoted to those who have helped get her there.

Hana makes friends easily, but most of these connections are just at surface-level.  She saves her true self, her most honest self, for her family and those she feels closest to.

She is a capital-F Feminist.  She fights for everyone who cannot do it themselves, taking on many pet projects and refusing to back down when she voices a contrary opinion.  While she prefers verbal sparring to physical sparring, she can hold her own and will get involved if she sees something that needs stopped.

Law enforcement was never the plan.  She was going to be a civil rights lawyer but then decided she could do more as an officer of the law to stop lawsuits from happening in the first place.

She worked her ass off and has just recently become a detective.  After only holding that post for six months, the earthquake hit.  She refused to leave and instead tried to help everyone evacuate, which caused her to be exposed to the radiation.

After the quarantine was lifted, Hana started having nightmares.  She doesn’t remember them after having them, but she always wakes in a panic and with a fierce need to take a walk around her block and make sure the kids who live there are safe.  She doesn’t think anything sketchy happened to her during the quarantine, and she doesn’t think she was affected by the radiation... but who knows...
