Why You Must Eat
It’s fuel
It doesn’t make you fat
You don’t want an eating disorder
It will make you happy :))
It will keep your metabolism working
It is NOT the enemy, your ED is
It will keep your energy up
It will help you think better
It will regulate your emotions
You’ll be more confident :))
Because you don’t need to deserve food
To fight your ED
Because you’re beautiful
To not fear food
To be able to eat out with you friends and not panic
Because you’re strong
It keeps you alive
Because your weight is not important
You’ll smile more :))
Because your health MATTER!!
Because life is awesome
Because food tastes good
Because gum is not enough
types of healthy coping skills
1. self-soothing
comforting yourself through the 5 senses
Touch: stuffed animals, stress balls, taking a bath, a soft blanket
Hear: music, audio book, guided relaxation
See: snow globe, glitter, calming images, art, anything that pleases you visually
Taste: tea, mints, gum
Smell: lotion, candles, incense
2. distraction
removing your focus from the stressor for a period of time
puzzles, art, crafting, reading, movies, gaming, exercise, being social
3. opposite action
doing the opposite of the impulse that aligns with a positive emotion
affirmations, inspiration, lighthearted and encouraging focus
4. emotional awareness
identifying and constructively expressing what you’re feeling
journaling, listing emotions, using a emotional identification chart, drawing, therapy
5. mindfulness
centering and anchoring yourself to the present moment
meditation, guided relaxation, yoga, breathing exercises, candle gazing, going for a walk
6. ask for help
this is important to do when you feel like your coping skills are not enough or they are too negative and detrimental
therapy is ideal for helping a person create a healthy coping strategy and incorporate it into their life
*a coping skill is considered healthy if it helps you to deal with stress more positively, does not hinder your progress, and isn’t harmful physically or mentally. A coping skill can become negative when it is used to completely avoid dealing with the stressor.

STORY TIME: You NEED to Take Electrolytes with an ED
Okay, so I was recently on a 72hr fast, which is fine for me because I am medically obese and I do not recommend it to normal or underweight people. I decided to break at 48 because I had a big day of activity this past Sunday. Note: I had been taking electrolytes and exercising for those first two days, but did not take any on Sunday - this will show you how fast things can get fucky.
My husband and I go to a huge mall like 1.5hrs away. I eat a poke bowl for lunch to break my fast. I feel okay. Then I start to get nauseous. Then I start to overheat. My hands and arms start to go numb. MY FUCKING FACE STARTED TO GET NUMB. It was overly warm in the mall so I thought I was uncomfortable because of that, but no. I thought I was having a stroke. We were only at the mall for 2.5 hours. Keep in mind I was drinking water steadily THE WHOLE TIME.
I start to get disoriented so my husband loads me into the car to go home and possibly to the hospital if the numbness won't go away. We stopped at a rest stop so I could pee because I couldn't stop peeing. He buys me a gatorade zero sugar. That gatorade was INSTANT recovery. Within five minutes of taking the first sip the symptoms started to go away. I thought I was having a damn stroke and it turns out I just needed electrolytes. If you are fasting or even just restricting please for the love of FUCK take electrolytes. You need sodium, potassium, and magnesium. And some other salts but those are top.
Sources of Electrolytes that are cheap and low cal:
-Gatorade zero sugar 0c (or any similar sports drink)
-Mio sport electrolytes 0c (squirt it in your water bitch)
-look up the recipe for snake juice 0c
-get electrolyte powder or pills off amazon, little more expensive but may be worth it.
-food sources of Electrolytes: sea salt, dill pickles, spinach, banana, kale, tomatoes, oranges, potato, yogurt, raisins, beans, broccoli, almonds, pumpkin seeds, broccoli, tofu, coconut water, celery, watermelon, nuts, eggs, avocado.
Even just diluting 1/2 tsp of sea salt in water and drinking it can help you if you feel completely run down. You need salt to stay hydrated. When you drink a ton of water but don't take in any sodium you will pee out essential minerals that your cells need to function. You can get electrolytes without calories and some forms are very easily accessible so no excuses.
hey, you are beautiful!💞
the thought of swimming: amazing, wonderful, 10/10
the thought of wearing a swimsuit: repulsive, disgusting, would rather chew glass
my brain:
im gonna eat i dont care
no, wait i wanna see my ribs
fuck it food is important to my body
but RIBS!!!!
FOOD!!
RIBSSSS!!!
yeah ribs are more important…
STARVE!!!!!!!
me:
losing weight bingeing it right back
When I was in 8th grade and decided I want to lose ‘a little weight’
me relapsing and coming to tumblr to deliberately trigger myself:
When I’m out with friends and see a glimpse of my body in some display window
weird habit
does anyone else have to be covering their stomach while relaxing (like with a pillow or blanket or something) in order to feel comfortable? as though even when ur alone u have to hide it from yourself as well??? is this just me???
Literally me right now.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. dude, my parents think it’s funny to take my pillow or blanket away whenever i do this and they wonder why i hate leaving my room
fireworks suck. they disturb the environment, cause wildlife to become panicked, abandon their nests/young, flee into roadways, and die when they ingest or become entangled in the remnants of fireworks. the residues and chemicals left by them pollute the water and soil. not to mention the affect they have on people with ptsd, or those who have conditions that make them sensitive to air quality like asthma.
people are really like. getting pissed at this post and its genuinely funny. people r acting like im going to come to their house and steal all their fireworks asfdgh
